I covet men of the 60's and 70's that could go out and get a regular trade job, easily feed a family of 4 and come home to some amazing homemade cooking from the wife.. Not even a putdown to women. Raising children and keeping the house is NOT an easy job at all. I dont know why some women look at this as a negative to be a stay-at-home mom. Now its so hard to do with inflation. Need both parents working which only affects the children sadly.

I remember when you first wanted to introduce maddie and you didn't know if your fans would accept it or not. I knew from day 1 when you introduced her to the fans that she was going to be the one and I think that all of us agree that there was no mistakes made in introducing her because she just makes the channel seem *that* much better.

Maddie is awesome! Not just her driving, but her personality, hard working behind the scenes, and devotion to you. She’s obviously head over heels for you and that’s how it should be! Love seeing her on the channel! I was literally cheering out loud when she finally got it into the drift!

Absolutely, I was so stoked for her.
"Are you frustrated? Good." When she finally went on her own the intense look of concentration, sawing at the wheel and stabbing at the throttle is exactly what I remember drifting feeling like. One of the first dates with my lady finished with me "teaching" her to drift my old E36 in a snowy parking lot when she couldn't even drive a stick. She drifted pretty well for about 30 minutes until security came to tell us to stop. So awesome and relatable to see that pure sense of joy, concentration and reward. Great relationship building! I am still together with my lady now 12 years and 3 children later. Time to figure out how to get the minivan drifting. Or figure out how to get 3 child seats into that old Beemer.

Cleetus busting out a drift from the passenger seat….. this should be an event for his Cleetus and cars drift night. Person in passenger seat steers while person in driver seat controls the throttle and brake.

Two dedicated cars. Driver has the Gas Break and clutch passenger has the steering wheel on their side. Very easy to pull off and then there could be a tournament.

Ya, but you notice that while he was doing that she didn't look at the wheel once. She looked pretty zoned out. She (like most people learning a complicated manual skill like that) needed her own hands on the wheel. Teaching people to drive needs to be done with a calm voice and mostly positive reinforcement.

Ski instructors have a code between them that they will never teach their own family or loved ones how to ski. They will always have another instructor do it because it’s so hard for people who are close to learn those things or deal with failing haha not that failing is a bad thing but it causes arguments. “If you teach my wife I’ll teach yours” sort of thing haha you guys did great though, there is a reason you are getting married!! As an American that grew up watching The Dukes of Hazard, I have been doing power slides on 3 a 4 wheelers and then transitioning to power slides in cars when I got my license at 15 in Mississippi in 1989. I was doing power slides in cars with low HP and open differential long before anyone ever uttered the phrase "drifting". High HP, limited slip/posi diff plus high angle steering is literally too easy to "drift".

Joking aside, I think she needed to understand the feeling of it, not the counter-intuitive mechanics so much. Its a dance of opposites and she started figuring that out. She actually got a little pissed with him (only for a moment, a micro-emotion lol) when he assumed she wasn't getting it...she was getting it in her head, just fighting with it bit to execute. You could see it in her eyes.

Madi has such a great attitude going into it. That's the main thing I've learned teaching anyone, anything! They have to be willing to muck it up and the teacher has to be patient. I love seeing Madi getting into this stuff! Good job!
For every test you make her pass she should make you pass one. I would watch.

@@Dieseltech91 AFAIK she held the C8's best time before they sold it. While I want to see her rip ruby, it'd probably be best to ease her into it. Going from an 11.35 nine months ago straight to a 7 is probably a bit much
@@JamesEsau totally agree. Waaay too much. If cleet were to put her in ruby she would need to start slow. Very slow. A couple 330 hits. Then 660. Then 1000ft. Hell, when my chevelle ran a 10 the 1st time it was a bit nerve racking. I think rocket or the Dale truck would be a good start for her. With the monster that Donnie is about to be...hmmm. Probably still a bit much. For now. He could put her in ruby and just leave the waste gate open. That would be much safer
