A massive fear I had with this remake is that they’d make Leon too serious, but I am absolutely pleased that he’s still just as cheesy as the original.

I never finished first mission when I was a young and play this on PS2. And I never got a chance to finish it later time either. At those times this game was incredibly scary to me.

When I was a kid I was pretty scared of it too when I played it on my game cube. I eventually got the nerve to finish the game as I got older.

dedicated my lunch breaks and my day to watch this entire thing. all i can say is i feel like when Leon says " you gotta be ****** kidding me" and " are you serious" it's not directed the infected, its personally directed to the game developers 🤣. MKiceandfire never disappoints with good gameplay.
Luis character was really the biggest upgrade character wise. Hope we see more of his character as DLC when he created Nemesis before joining los iluminados where he created all RE4 monsters, his story is great link between RE3 and RE4 events.
This is one of the best remakes ever considering that before you run slow as a snail and now you run fast.This remake includes the iconic merchant who is a great man.

@@Jacyln_Act_4 In the original RE4, there was a bug with the Striker, that it gave you some boost in running speed. They have now added the striker as a charm and it gives some percentage of running boost when equipped.
I love how while Leon and Ashley are on this journey they talk and even get personal
Gawd Leon is so hot. I watched this being played in PS2 back in the day and he's still my childhood crush
For me that first village is perhaps the hardest part of the game. Leon arrives with only a hand gun, little ammo or first aid. In the original i seem to remember the chainsaw boss was relentless in the attack as were the villagers. In this new version the chainsaw boss appears to be easily evaded and the villagers pause before attacking. Maybe my recall is off but they were more aggressive as i remember. Took me many attempts to defeat the first village and i think it was more by luck than skill that i finally got through. This new release looks beautiful and seems to be faithful to the original as hoped. Thanks for posting.
I only played the demo so far, but I can tell you he just makes it look easy. I can’t even get past the demo because of it.

@@danield00d That first village is insane. For the first time encountering it a player is like "how the hell is an endgame-style village in the first 5 minutes possible"? And it turns out the village horror show is just the intro!!!

When I entered the village I got killed dozens of times because I wasn't use to firing the pistol or using the knife

Ashley being so cool throughout this remake is a breath of fresh air. She was a horrible brat in the original and annoying and made you wonder why are you (Leon) going through hell to rescue this horrible person. In this version she has a great personality and is humble and helpful and at the end she even begs Leon to save himself with the parasite extraction before extracting hers.

Think of their relationship like a brother and sister that would do anything to save each other. If you're questioning why Ashley acted the way she was, simply because Leon has gained her trust and she thinks of him as precious. It's the same for Leon, obviously Ashley IS his mission, so his whole priority is HER. Then when he saw how Ashley is just such a sweet and kind woman, he knew that saving her is not just a mission, but something that he must do no matter what

Love the walkthrough. Watching you play games is like watching movies. Its so entertaining. I wish i could get a copy. Unfortunately im very sick and cant work. But will definitely be getting one soon as i get better! For anyone who wants wo know whats wrong. I had a heart attack, have chronic pancreatitis and cluster headaches. Thats just some of whats wrong. Just had my gallbladder removed too.

Ashley's the real superheroine here. She took catapulted flaming rocks, parasites, and even an axe to the head, yet she just brushed it off without taking even one herb. She's just 'ok' no matter what. She didn't even bother to fight the mobs cause they weren't worth her time.
She makes the herb-munching Leon look so weak.
RE 4 by far my favorite of the games. This has brought back some great nostalgia and some NEW scars as well. Thank you for all these no commentary videos.

I just beat the game and I cried after because I’m a hardcore fan of RE I’ve beaten every single game since I was a kid and I cried because it’s a gift to us and we will never know when a new resident evil will ever be released and if we will be alive to experience it because life is unpredictable never know what can happen. I just Remember being a kid playin re1 on my ps1 and being blown away and to see how far the franchise has come it’s really a treat and I cherished every moment of it. I wish we get a remake of code Veronica next that’s a underrated game in the series in my opinion.
How would you rank the games? Ive played re8, re7, re2 remake and re3 remake in that order. I would rank them in the same order that i played them. Maybe 7 and 8 and equal. But i cant wait to play this one
@@maxh4651 this is definitely one of the better remakes I think 4 and 2 are about equal but this was a great game enjoyed it if you loved the original you will love this has that nostalgia feeling even more if you unlock the original soundtrack to the game

You have to applaud the makers, writers and producers of the Resident Evil series. Thankfully I was 10 when I played Resident Evil 1 in 1996, it was mindblowing back then. Then there was 2, 3, Code Veronica, Outbreak, Zero and Resident Evil 4. I was just blown away, by how many games of the Resident Evil series, were just amazing games. I never felt I would get that feeling again, with Resident Evil games. After 5 and 6 went in a different direction like 4, yet were nowhere near as good as 4. I felt maybe we might see the Resident Evil franchise finish. The Revlation games were good on the PS3, they had the same feel to them, yet the Operation Racoon City didn't do so well. So like many others, I was like well we can always play the classics on PS4, as they had ben released on there Then Resident Evil 7 was announced, with a lot of sense of going back to survival horror. That game was excellent and I really enjoyed it. I would never of imagined, after Resident Evil 6, Capcom would release 5 brilliant games. People were not happy with 3, yet I still loved it and yes it was short but it at least made Capcom, realise their mistake. So to have Resident Evil 2,3 + 4 remakes, along with 7 and Village. You have to say, Capcom have done unbelievably well. Considering the first game was released way back in 1996, so to keep on producing this many years down the line, is just incredible. One of my all time favourites, Code Veronica, they honestly could make that game, incredible as well. If they just follow what they have done with the 4 remake, they really could make that game one of the best remakes. Its exciting to see what they remake in the future, Code Veronica, Resident Evil 1,5 + 6. Also with rumoured Revelations 3, Hunk and Residnt Evil 9. We really could be on to another generation of amazing games from the Resident Evil franchise. Also have to mention, that being Silent Hill 2 Remake, its the 90s all over again (I wish).

@True god I feel like content creator when upload walk-through gameplay should do at least 40+ minutes, it's good amount of time for decent chunk of content, plus ain't no way they are playing 15 minutes in one section, at least like an hour and a half. Some crazy go for 4 to 5 hours of playing.

this is my favorite RE game of all time. the first that came out i mean. this remake sure look good also. can't wait to play it. it looks great and they haven't changed a whole lot of things either.
I'm a mo cap performer and wanted to share a painful story of mine involving the remake of RE 2.
Might make the agonizing regret somehow berable...:) I was training my voice regarding voice acting since 2007.
Several years later - by accident - I did some modeling jobs and focused more on a raw motion/performance capture skills, leaving voice acting behind a bit. In late November of 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the motion capture role of Leon for the 2019 RE2 Remake. I lost the part early on. Now, many years later when I see how successfull these remakes are (now with RE 4 remake released) I can't believe I squandered such an opportunity.
It goes without saying that in this business one audition can change your whole life.
I'm trying not to give up though, I recently was approached by Platige Image about my latest voice demo but I feel like it's kinda a castle made of sand.
That's quite a story! For what it's worth, at least you were considered for such an illustrious part. I imagine the competition for it must have been insane.
@@LuxAeterna22878 What I regret is making a rookie mistake by not advertising myself as a mo cap actor who could also do voice over. For example; the new Leon is based on Romanian model but voiced by an american actor. I was able to combine those two but failed to present myself as such.

@@AnxMa Hmm. While I won't say I've had that exact experience, I think I could see why that'd be difficult to let go. I will say that I do know people who are very successful in the entertainment industry and working on very high-profile stuff doesn't bring lasting fulfillment. Not that it's wrong to chase opportunity, obviously (I'm a musician and a part of me desperately craves recognition). Just that being at the top of the mountain may not be better than where you are now.

6 years have passed since the biological disaster in Raccoon City.
Leon S. Kennedy, one of the survivors of the incident, has been recruited as an agent reporting directly to the president of the United States.
With the experience of multiple missions on his back, Leon is sent to rescue the president's kidnapped daughter.
He tracks her to a secluded European village, where there is something terribly wrong with the villagers.
And the curtain rises on this story of daring rescue and grueling horror.
The story is so good here. It is like playing a James Bond or Jason Bourne movie with zombies.
I'm like 8 hours into the game and I JUST got to the cabin fight with Louis. When I tell you how good, but also how difficult this game is . . . I'm taking a break for at least a day so my hands can recover 😖
Yes finally. They showed that Ada isn’t a inhumane bitch properly here. Which also makes us understand Leon’s trust in her. Also this fairly good part of Ada that chooses to do the right thing was brought out of her in the first place because of Leon & his selflessness.
I’m glad to see them bringing more clarity to their relationship. Also to confirm that Leon was more or less one of the biggest factors in Ada not giving the perfect Plaga’s sample to Wesker. She doesn’t give it to him in the original either but here the reasoning behind her actions is made more clear. She can see one of her biggest reason jet skiing away into the distance literally.
I love that part. I scrolled through the comments just to see if someone mentioned it.
Idk I also think it's important to keep Ada less understandable and relatable to stay faithful to her character. Even in re6 you have a full company dedicated to her, but she still manages to keep a distance between her and a player. You get a glimpse, but not too much. Also not a fan of the voice casting but that's like beating a dead horse at this point.
I like it when Ashley gets jealous of Ada when he discloses some information about Ada and then Ashley asks Leon "So do you have a history with this woman since it seems like you know her so well?" and Leon just ignores that question haha.
The Ashley in this version is awesome. Not whiny and bratty and helpless. The original Ashley was a ridiculous tsundere that made you question why is Leon going through all this just for a horrible personality like hers. Ashley this time around is very kind and humble and tries her best to help Leon out. For example, notice at the end she tells Leon to save himself before saving her with the parasite removal and he ignores her and goes ahead and saves her first.
From what I've seen,Leon lets Ada get away with the sample because of Luis,she mentioned that she and Luis had an agreement. So whether it's Leon or Luis who gave the sample,the outcome would be the same.
Leon also seems to be tired of her,he knows she just uses him. I could tell he has had enough when he said they were going on their separate ways.
Am I the only one that thinks when Luis says “stop it” is hilarious I don’t know why I just love it 😂😂

Rest assured, they will. Way too much money there to ignore it for long. Remakes take time though, and we have quite a few gems lined up (unannounced, of course) before we see an RE1 remake with Unreal Engine 4. Positive thoughts ^^

I spent more time playing RE4 the original more than almost any other game. I loved it. I might have ran through it over a dozen times. This remake is very high quality! Its like RE4 on Steroids!!! More action, the creatures are tougher. It also seems harder, like it pushes the players ability to survive.

I feel like Capcom now needs to give Ada her own game. The storyline is there. Wesker is chasing Ada in search of the amber. Can either go one of two ways we have a huge battle between wesker and Ada. Or they introduce a new characters to the franchise. That character picks up searching for the amber after Ada is murdered. Or hell, loop Leon back in.
Playing RE4R made me relive the 14 Year-Old me playing the OG RE4, excited but nervous and also struggling to manage my inventory just like the old days
Capcom made another Masterpiece on a masterpiece, except Ada.... They better fix her on Separate Ways

Hey, great gameplay of Resident Evil 4 Remake! While I love the remake, I also have a soft spot for the original RE4. In fact, I just started a series playing the original RE4 on my phone, and it's been a thrilling experience. It's amazing how the game still holds up after all these years.

The original resident evil 4 is a classic and it's a game where you were ask gamers what is your top 20 games of all time and most of them will put resident evil 4 on that list... But when I first heard that they're going to remake resident evil 4, I was excited yet for a bit of nervous because it's a classic and a lot of times you should just leave the classics alone.. there are perfect examples in the movie industry where they remade movies and it turns out to be horrible... But they did a perfect example of how to do a remake.. they didn't take anything away they added better graphics and I do really love the relationship between Ashley and Leon where they're trying to survive together and you can see the friendship building between them not like in the original where Ashley always trying to sleep with Leon.... But there's one thing that I miss from the original resident evil 4 is that throw mines gun... I love how they stick into enemies and beep until it blows up but now they use it as in arrow instead of a gun and I prefer the gun.. it's probably my favorite weapon and resident evil franchise.

I love thast they brought Leon's 90s boy band hair straight into HD. It looks so out of place and is glorious.
I guess the gameplay was very similar to the old one, but slightly altered in some gameplay method...
Anyway, in case for a few tips:
1. Do not confront the villagers directly, as they're more powerful, smarter, and deadly than the predecessor gameplay. Recommend use stealth and takedown in most scenario...
2. Shoot legs if you want to trigger melee takeout, shoot body if you're not good in precise hits (although take more shots) or in case if the enemy trying to dodge your shots. And only shoot head if you're in good distance and have a good aiming skill...
3. Always double-tap the enemy, as the enemy sometimes will reanimated back and end up double trouble...
4. Observe environment, it may help you get some resources in corners, or it may help you in combat (For example: bear traps, trip wire).
5. Leon hand-to-hand combat skills + knive can also do lethal damage to enemies (also the knife can use as block incoming most attacks), but not all enemies are work well in such combo tactics...
6. Always save the money for upgrade your carrying slots, or better weapons (but keep your best weapon in the last fight, such as RPG Rocket Launcher). And sell your weapons if need to clear space or need funds for upgrade the powerful ones...
7. If you're in high ground, you have the advantage of sniping and ambushing any who trying to climb up (makes me remind about the High Ground meme)
8. If you're professional players from any previous Resident Evil Series, you may go straight and dance with those villagers directly...
