Even orochimaru didn't had the intention to kill Naruto, he fought naruto to compare his strength if he surpassed sasuke or not and which later confirmed by orochimaru himself that Sasuke is still stronger. Jiraiya should have been given far more power moments. He should have used sage mode way before his fight with Pain where he is shown to have absolutely annihilated someone with it.
Let's add some spice to this. Jiraiya did very well against Pain without any info, while Orochimaru got destroyed by the Deva path in seconds. I do agree with most of the rankings though, but I think Sage Jiraiya is stronger than any form of Orochimaru except his Boruto form

Imperfect Sage Mode Jiraiya Pain Arc beats every form of Orochimaru except for War Arc 5 Hokage Edo Oro and Hydra Form Oro but that is still debatable. Hydra Form had 0 feats. For those who didn't know, Hydra Form was about Itachi's Susanoo which is smaller than Jiraiya's Toad summoning. Jiraiya created a mud swamp that engulfed Manta and complained that he couldn't produce enough chakra because of the drug.
Hydra is bigger, much more massive and more dangerous than tode. Itachi's susanno was pretty much smaller if you watch the battle. Itachi's humanoid susanno could be easily knocked down if not Yata mirror. Toad = Manda. Hydra is bigger than Manda, so it's bigger than those summonings. Also, war arc Orochimaru is sure stronger than Jiraya. No doubt. But Jiraya can win other versions of Orochimaru in his imperfect sage mode. There I can agree with you

Oro summoned a similar Hydra snake in invasion of Konoha in which Jiraiya defeated it using Toad summoning from heaven. Hydra form was about that size or even smaller. Manta on the other hand, is about 3 times as large as Gamabunta in which Jiraiya in full power could drown in mud swamp in seconds according to him in Naruto 1. Manta has also shown to be waaay faster than Oro. Gamabunta is about Shukaku's size. Gamabunta was also able to temporarily hold Full Kurama, not Half, in Minato storyline. Hydra had 0 feats other than physical attacks, the Hydra head didn't even regenerate. Yata Mirror can b compensated by just plainly being much bigger than Hydra and using a shield. SM Jiraiya also has sound Genjutsu, Massive Rasengan, and toad oil Firestyle. I just think Jiraiya has so much more in his arsenal that's a great counter agaisnt Hydra imo.

Oh boy here we go... First off, Jiraiyas nerf in the sannin battle was as bad, if not worse than Orochimarus. Orochimaru lost his ability to use jutsu but he didn't need those anyway for most of his weird snake abilities, other than that Jiraiya was so nerfed that he was barely able to walk before getting to the battle, his ability to mold chakra was KID NARUTO LEVEL, seen when he tried to summon gamabunta but summoned a small toad like Naruto would and even when he summoned gamabunta he wasn't too confident if it'll work and it was pure luck, that's how bad the nerf is. Even so he kept up with Orochimaru. Orochimaru never took on both Tsunade and Jiraiya, they were all on the battlefield but, bruh, Orochimaru started getting thrashed when Tsunade alone attacked him. Second, the tailed beast chakra isn't affected by the age of the jinchuriki, so 4 tails are 4 tails regardless of Narutos age, other than that, Jiraiya tried to surpress 4 tails and managed to do so, winning his fight with 4 tails Naruto while Orochimaru was "toying with Naruto" but basically couldn't do jack shit to him and just straightup ran away when it got too dangerous. Third, Orochimarus giant serpent form is overrated asf, got low diffed by a semi blind Itachi lmao. It has no special feats other than being massive and having 7 heads. Orochimarus biggest advantages are his durability and edo tensei, he in his prime struggled against old Hiruzen who showed no better feats than sage Jiraiya did. In fact, sage Jiraiya can oneshot any character with his frog genjutsu who isn't strong enough to thrash him before the genjutsu works, and even if Orochimaru is stronger by this small margin you claim, he never showed a single ability that could take out Jiraiya that quickly. Orochimaru does not have better tai or genjutsu than sage Jiraiya, Jiraiya is also one of the best ninjutsu users, having both quality, quantity and the most versatile arsenal shown in the series. I agreed with all of this guys powerscaling till now, he is objective and accurate but I can't help but smell the classic anti-jiraiya bias here, Orochimaru may be "stronger" than Jiraiya, but he ain't beating him till his war arc form.

In the beginning of Naruto orichmaru was supposed to be stronger. Than Jiraiya was stronger than orichmaru in the beginning to half shippuden with sage mode. Than orichmaru in the war arc was stronger again since he had the four kage near full power with his arms back.

I think it’s just a hypothetical since we haven’t seen orichmaru fight. I mean against viktor he probably used like 20 percent of his power and against Log he wasn’t trying ,so that mitsuki would activate Sage Mode. Based on feats we can’t label him higher even though he’s also stated to be younger by Naruto. I also believe in one of the novels Orochimaru taught Naruto kenjutsu with a sword and beat Naruto. The scaling wasnt that bad, but war ark Lord Orochimaru with 90% Edo Tensei and three Kekkei Genkai should be at least double sage mode Jiraya and Boruto Lord Orochimaru should also be mutch stronger, because Victor is about as strong as Hiruzen and he got more than washed by Lord Orochimaru, without Lord Orochimaru even using wood style or anything other broken. You could also put an hypothetical sage mode on him because he can create humans with sage mode.
Jiraya made life difficult in his battle against Pain, however Pain did not confront Orochimaru, and Pain also said that if he had known him better he could have defeated him.

Even orochimaru didn't had the intention to kill Naruto, he fought naruto to compare his strength if he surpassed sasuke or not and which later confirmed by orochimaru himself that Sasuke is still stronger. The guy is literally rejecting his own body already and almost his time of his death bed. Even tho Jiraiya's power definitely got supressed it is by his own will, while Orochimaru being weaken still had the mind set of playing around naruto, provoking him to use his v2 cloak.

Jiraiya should have been given far more power moments. He should have used sage mode way before his fight with Pain where he is shown to have absolutely annihilated someone with it.

You forget that Orochimaru isn't the one that take 4 tails Naruto down, it was Yamato who did it, while Jiraiya handling it by himself
And just because Orochimaru killed those two Kages doesn't mean he is stronger than Jiraiya, because:
1. Jiraiya has no reason to kill them, but that doesn't mean he couldn't do it
2. I'm pretty sure that Kazekage wasn't killed in fair battle, he must got trapped by Orochimaru or something
3. Hiruzen was in very weak state when he fight Orochimaru, he wasn't even killed by Orochimaru, he died by his own jutsu

Imperfect Sage Mode Jiraiya Pain Arc beats every form of Orochimaru except for War Arc 5 Hokage Edo Oro and Hydra Form Oro but that is still debatable. Hydra Form had 0 feats. For those who didn't know, Hydra Form was about Itachi's Susanoo which is smaller than Jiraiya's Toad summoning. Jiraiya created a mud swamp that engulfed Manta and complained that he couldn't produce enough chakra because of the drug.

Oro summoned a similar Hydra snake in invasion of Konoha in which Jiraiya defeated it using Toad summoning from heaven. Hydra form was about that size or even smaller. Manta on the other hand, is about 3 times as large as Gamabunta in which Jiraiya in full power could drown in mud swamp in seconds according to him in Naruto 1. Manta has also shown to be waaay faster than Oro. Gamabunta is about Shukaku's size. Gamabunta was also able to temporarily hold Full Kurama, not Half, in Minato storyline. Hydra had 0 feats other than physical attacks, the Hydra head didn't even regenerate. Yata Mirror can b compensated by just plainly being much bigger than Hydra and using a shield. SM Jiraiya also has sound Genjutsu, Massive Rasengan, and toad oil Firestyle. I just think Jiraiya has so much more in his arsenal that's a great counter agaisnt Hydra imo.

First off, Jiraiyas nerf in the sannin battle was as bad, if not worse than Orochimarus. Orochimaru lost his ability to use jutsu but he didn't need those anyway for most of his weird snake abilities, other than that Jiraiya was so nerfed that he was barely able to walk before getting to the battle, his ability to mold chakra was KID NARUTO LEVEL, seen when he tried to summon gamabunta but summoned a small toad like Naruto would and even when he summoned gamabunta he wasn't too confident if it'll work and it was pure luck, that's how bad the nerf is. Even so he kept up with Orochimaru.
Orochimaru never took on both Tsunade and Jiraiya, they were all on the battlefield but, bruh, Orochimaru started getting thrashed when Tsunade alone attacked him.
Second, the tailed beast chakra isn't affected by the age of the jinchuriki, so 4 tails are 4 tails regardless of Narutos age, other than that, Jiraiya tried to surpress 4 tails and managed to do so, winning his fight with 4 tails Naruto while Orochimaru was "toying with Naruto" but basically couldn't do jack shit to him and just straightup ran away when it got too dangerous.
Third, Orochimarus giant serpent form is overrated asf, got low diffed by a semi blind Itachi lmao. It has no special feats other than being massive and having 7 heads.
Orochimarus biggest advantages are his durability and edo tensei, he in his prime struggled against old Hiruzen who showed no better feats than sage Jiraiya did. In fact, sage Jiraiya can oneshot any character with his frog genjutsu who isn't strong enough to thrash him before the genjutsu works, and even if Orochimaru is stronger by this small margin you claim, he never showed a single ability that could take out Jiraiya that quickly.
Orochimaru does not have better tai or genjutsu than sage Jiraiya, Jiraiya is also one of the best ninjutsu users, having both quality, quantity and the most versatile arsenal shown in the series.
I agreed with all of this guys powerscaling till now, he is objective and accurate but I can't help but smell the classic anti-jiraiya bias here, Orochimaru may be "stronger" than Jiraiya, but he ain't beating him till his war arc form.

@@Limalia77 I think Itachi only said that so he and kisame would leave, given that Itachi was still loyal to the leaf and didn't want to kill Jiraya. Itachi is more powerfull than both Jiraya and Orochimaru by quite a bit. I think swagkage has a video on Itachi vs Jiraya, it's very nice.

In the beginning of Naruto orichmaru was supposed to be stronger. Than Jiraiya was stronger than orichmaru in the beginning to half shippuden with sage mode. Than orichmaru in the war arc was stronger again since he had the four kage near full power with his arms back.

Great scaling but Orochimaru from Boruto recently had a great showing i thing 855,000 is pretty low, apparently it’s stated that Naruto couldn’t enter Orochimaru’s lair in base form implying Orochimaru might be stronger or near to Base Hokage Naruto
I think it’s just a hypothetical since we haven’t seen orichmaru fight. I mean against viktor he probably used like 20 percent of his power and against Log he wasn’t trying ,so that mitsuki would activate Sage Mode. Based on feats we can’t label him higher even though he’s also stated to be younger by Naruto. I also believe in one of the novels Orochimaru taught Naruto kenjutsu with a sword and beat Naruto. Nobody used chakra though. Also Orochimaru was the one who taught sasuke kenjutsu. Orochimaru could be a threat ,but until we get more feats I’d rank him on that. If he got sage mode it’d be a problem though. Full regen and SM😂.

The scaling wasnt that bad, but war ark Lord Orochimaru with 90% Edo Tensei and three Kekkei Genkai should be at least double sage mode Jiraya and Boruto Lord Orochimaru should also be mutch stronger, because Victor is about as strong as Hiruzen and he got more than washed by Lord Orochimaru, without Lord Orochimaru even using wood style or anything other broken. You could also put an hypothetical sage mode on him because he can create humans with sage mode.
