Bobby Orr, the greatest hockey player! There aren't too many players that can get the puck from their net, stickhandle all the way to the opponents net and score. What a sight to see!!!
Uhhhhh,Wynne Gretzky, sure Bobby Orr had a greatest career but at the same time Wynne Gretzky was called the Great One for a reason, nice try, I will admit Orr was complete Hall of Famer and deserves to be recognized but you are pushing it

Bobby has been a close friend to me and my Neighbor "Quinby" Not only is he 1 of the coolest down to earth people I've ever met but he's really lived life to the fullest.
Wow..Saying you are friends w/ Bobby Orr is already impressive in itself. I saw Bobby as a kid, and will never forget when he scored a goal vs. Vancouver, and everybody was snapping pictures all at once. The greatest player ever - #4 Bobby Orr!!!!! Bobby looks great, today.
@johnbrowne2170 wrong bruins out scored Vancouvet 24 to 8 in that series or by a 3 to 1 ratio. Yes Thomas was a big reason they won but he was far from the only reason. Bruins also had the best 4rth line in the NHL.
@@StuartMcNair-kk9nb No, he's easily the main and obvious reason why the Bruins won. No other player had as much influence in the playoffs as Thomas. That's why he won the playoff MVP award. People who know hockey saw what I saw.

This was a pleasure and privilege to witness. Even as a Canucks team fan where we just had to win one more game that year....... still having the chance to shake the hand of Willie and Bobby when I did is a magic experience never to be forgotten.
Nice to see Phil Esposito there. The man was extremely bitter at the Bruins for years after he got traded and he now bleeds Tampa Bay Lightning blue and white (for very good reason). Glad he was able to put all that aside for one night.
Gretzky may have been the greatest offensive player but Orr was the greatest all round player. He not only led the league in scoring but his plus/minus of plus 124 in a season is still a record to this day
I'm a Habs fan so as such I don't cheer for the Bruins, but I long have said that Montreals best rivals are the Boston Bruins. The many great playoff series battles between these two is the magic. So congrats Boston on 100 years. Oh yeah there is one Bruin I like very much and its ' Number Four, Bobby Orr'.😎👍

Hopefully the current Bruins roster will be inspired to not choke in the playoffs this year and bring the Cup back to Boston where it belongs. Orr, Espo, Raymond et al will appreciate the effort for sure. Ya know, have some pride in your organization. Good year to start doing that.
From what I understand, Wayne Cashman just doesn't like ceremonies--so he skips them. He was absent on the memorable night the Bruins last played at Boston Garden.

They should have had Schneider starting in nets for game six instead of going again with Luongo. If so they probably would have won the Cup in Boston. But no, they went with their multi-million dollar starter even though that night he leaked like a seive. Blame Vigneault and/or Mike Gillis for that tragic brain-cramp.
