Wild camping in harwood forest uk with Roney and Damien the Fell Wanderer i set up my snugpak sf bivvi and dd supperlight tarp then get ready for a very funny night harwood forest has been devistated by the last lot of stormes but damien found a great location togo wild camping

Was a great night Jimmy from what I can remember. I cut loads out from the final edit but in the future I was thinking about creating two versions, an X-rated and sanitized version for UA-cam because all the memories deserve to be captured for the future. Some of the best moments were a bit wild, over the top and funny.

Bit too ******* for the kids but I enjoyed it,
Goes to show you can still find a spot in the trees in Harwood, made a change to stay on the ground, can’t see me putting the 4 season bag away for another month, at least you still slept even when a bit chilly.
I think a walk to the areas around the water sources would be light trek and then use the forest water,some nice grassy spots to be had.
Lots of forest workers around at the minute so we stand out on the paths/roads with our big bags ,maybe when they have finished tidying up !!!! 2025 !!!!

Well..........that was a really nice camping video..Good to see some "old boys" out & about in the bush having some laughs. I was hoping it was going to be a weekend camp , but it seems a lot of camper's /bush craft guys just do over nights . I'll have to google your location , Just wondering i know in the UK the ground can be very wet/damp in some places . The area you called " The damaged area " Was the ground wet/damp ? for all those trees in one area to fall over or do you get high winds in that area. ? I myself would think twice about camping in that area again. wouldn't want one of those trees falling near or on me . I'm sure there must have been a lot of out takes of people falling over or whipped by tree branches . Maybe next time you'll leave them in?

You know if you guys re-watch "odd looking" parts of your video you'll see stuff & have WTF moment. This is for Damien .Pause at frame 0.24 , at the end of the clearing /path . There is a dark figure sitting on a log with another log across the chest area .Take a screen shot & look closer. If you see nothing then that's what you see! But........for me, i see it clear as day like the others in this frame .It only takes 1 pissed off red eye being to change your life forever.If your "gut feelings" tell you this is not a good place to camp ,go else where !
Thanks for watching Kyle it's really appreciated mate I've looked at the time you said omg I definitely see something but if you look on the RH side there's a figure next to a tree on a old video I did at the top end of harwood were we had are permanent camp I thought I seen a figure leaning up against a tree around 400 metres away from were I was sitting it made me feel very uncomfortable so I pressed record on my camra and walked towards it with my axe and knife in my hands as I got closer it was a falling tree up against a other tree but it put me on full alert all night as I've heard strange noise when camping in harwood but I still go there because it's a fantastic place atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
@@LundysWildcampBushcraft Thanks. on that same frame look on the left of screen where the light meets the shadow half way up the screen a branch comes from the left past the tree closest to camera , it's on the left is where to look. You may not see a "grey" face just above the log. It's there more details can been seen. It looks like an older one if that makes sense. I had to laugh when you said " look at me swinging the camera around widely" I would be very careful in that area Lundy. Think of them as Autistic Children. You just don't know how they will re-act to people passing through there area. All that damaged tree areas Are where they are . What i have seen on many of Damien's video's in that spooky forest there in the trees. They are mostly black. There face has no hair from the brow to the bottom lip.My wild camping days died 30 years & now i'm 61. So NO i don't camp anymore .It left me with PTSD. I'm like a combat vet who has never seen combat but..........head on a swivel 24/7 when out & about. Keep your wits about you .The "Whoop" sound some of the guys make are "alarm" call. & the tree know is "where are you mate " Knock ! " I'm over here "
@@LundysWildcampBushcraft I have my own research area here in Australia . I bought 35 acre bush block . The first 6 months i have had very large prints & plain as day sightings . There are areas on the block i won't walk past. i just say I'm not looking for you But......i know you are here . I kid you not ! every hair stands straight up & you want to run. Just don't look at them straight in the eye . Best way it try to pretend you didn't hear/see them. Other wise they'll start messing with you . They'll let you know if your to close to where they live & scare the shit out of you to run !

30 years ago me & 2 of my mates who i knew for over 10 years On shooting trip hunting wild boar ,It was a kull on a farming property. Had a 10 foot plus red eyed being put the fear of dread into us .It was on the 4th night of our stay , a full moon. It swayed back a forth behind this tree. I said to my friend it's like it's sizing us up . which to take out first. In our hearts all 3 of us knew it meant us harm. A shot gun can make a mess of a pig, with solid rounds . But this thing took 5 rounds to the chest fall back , got up & too off running. That's 2 shot guns firing. How did we know it was 10 foot plus . first 6 foot , 2nd friend 5'6 digging the solid round out of the tree with a knife. That's how. For 30 years i have been called every name under the sun. It's only now that more people coming forward , I have come out what happened to me . My 2 friends never wanted to talk about it & my friendship with them ended that next day. They just wanted never to think about it again. WE were probably at the wrong place & time . BUt........who knew when your told growing up there a "myth" They are 100% real.
