We are asking you mam since we want to know. And how are you telling others to answer.
Functions are used to take inputs( arguments), perform some operations (code) & give out some outputs( returnstatement). Depending upon their use or types of input they take, there are different types of functions. E.g the function which is used to add two numbers will take two integer as input & will return sum as integer whereas the function which is used to just print any msg will not return anything or will not take any input.
