- McKinney High School wraps up homecoming week with a lip dub featuring the entire school. "We Built This City" represents our ongoing construction and the fact that we're McKinney's original high school. We did build this city.

I was one of the building inspectors on 2 different renovation additions to this school and I was amazed at this video! This is exactly how the kids were! Proud lions!

This was so cool, and it inspired my school to do one... but oh my lord ours was terrible, the school only had us practice for 30 minutes and than one of the Drill team girls got kicked in the stomach on camera and in the face off... Sachse is just... something special...

@@tedbrogan1 Pst! Many people use to like it until they were brainwashed and programed into not. No thanks to VH1's Behind The Music or what ever it was that did show have SOME members of the group bashing it. But that was done just to put some of the other members in their place because they were jealous of that lineup (even though Grace Slick was in it...she wasn't anymore though).
Mckinney highschool is really beautiful and to just see how much it has grown and an honor to be a part of it, it’s just wonderful here!

I wish that my high school played this song in the lip dub or any hallway event because I would definitely know when to jump in the video in a certain part of the song this makes video production in the high school a lot more easier than others.

Everything is bigger in Texas!
High schools in Texas are a hell of a lot bigger than they are in Alabama. McKinney looks like a big school. Reminds me of Hoover in the Birmingham area. Hoover is a massive high school by Alabama standards, too. Cool video too FWIW.

this school is so fucking nice. mine has broken windows, outside doors that wont lock, a heating/cooling system thats been broken for 30 years (since my mom went to the same school), holes in walls covered by cardboard, only enough lockers for freshman, etc. the list goes on

So good to see the same old halls, stairs, gym, ect. Class of 1995 MHS! Go Lions! I had such a fun time in those same halls, saw a lot of fights, and skipped a lot of classes at Towne Lake...LOL. Just kidding. We marched the same halls as ur drum lines to the pep rallys. What a blast! Dear McKinney High School, how we love you so....keep up your spirit, as you onward go!
