I've started drinking since 2019 at the age of 22, and despite having dark phases... I've never been "addicted" to it. I could drink it for a week or just go without drinking it for a month, or months and not feel an itch. It is actually ME making a decision 😂
Also, regular drinking less than 300 ml or 600 ml (depending on bodyweight) is actually less harmful than binge drinking at parties and societal events where people go past their limits. This is the problem with experts. They always prefer "opinions" much more over facts. Or should take all cases into consideration. The only reason I don't drink actively as much as before is because I am no longer an athlete. Engineering and IT work leads to more sedentary life.
But we shouldn’t minimize the impact it has on other people either, you can get addicted to it just like smoking!

if you don't eat food for many days then you will die. but with alcohol it's a different case. I hope you understand .
