This was March's iteration of the Reading Japanese Meet, which I visited in my 350Z to explain how the UK car scene is not as bad as it may be portrayed during winter months.

I hate pops and bangs, that’s the only thing wrong with the UK car scene. Every BMW and Ford seems to have them and just sit there on the redline. Used to be the Honda owner but they seem to have passed the torch. It’s just distasteful, antisocial and obnoxious.

I don't go to car meets as such, but go to many classic car shows over the sunny season...& very much looking forward to it starting soon...🤞🏻for fine weather.

Same, only exception is Tanoshi as their meets are really decent, friendly people, no idiots.

It's not like it was 20 years ago tho I never been to a car meet. I've the aftermath of one at Castleford West Yorkshire once tho back when it was called Cruising. Someone has done a huge donut in the car park and there were tyre marks absolutely everywhere.

Not every sat night. My missus lives in Fletton and it's not always on.
not every saturday, usually once or twice a month. will probably be one on with the fair leaving this weekend, though

Glad Adam had noticed people unhappy with the the car scene and had acknowledged that. It wasn't anything down to him it was mainly the antisocial behaviour most people find the worst and this was proven with more with thr influx of policing and crackdowns on "modified" cars when usually it was some corsa D during reverse burnouts. Glad the true car scene stepped out of there way to show how we do not approve any activities that make people in to cars look like antisocial nutters 😅
The 12C is def the coolest McLaren besides the F1. No silly overdone angles and weird lights but just clean and sexy

The thing is with your videos is that when you post with thumbnails of police cars and "shocked" looking reactions, with titles along the lines of "gone wrong", people are more likely to see those videos. So what do you expect really?

The UK car scenes arent that bad, depending on what type of meet it is. Theres a limit to what you can do to a car before its too much. There are multiple cars that should not even be considered car show worthy like
-Ford Focus ST/RS (Obnoxious spoiler, Loud exhaust, Liverys included)
-Ford Fiesta
-Vauxhall Astra
-Vauxhall Corsa
-VW Polo
-VW Golf
-Skoda Fabia
-Renault Clio
-Nissan micra
-Honda Civic with massive spoilers and a loud exhaust (Stock) (Modified is different)
- Beat up BMWs that has massive dents with lots of rust around it
-Beat up Mazda MX5s (Ive rattled an entire community with that one)
-Mini coopers with liverys and loud exhausts
I know theres many more cars but thats for another video if theyre included

@@Grimreaper-xl9rq I agree, there sure is a different scene between a car show, a track event and a carpark meet. You don't get many pillocks at shows or track events. Some clubs are still good, they offer simple chill things like 'chipshop run/cafe cruises/track visits' or 'charity events' even 'can anyone help xyz do abc to their car before Brands hatch event' all year round - for me, the real car culture social events.

@philipcole5020 in my video I mention all my other non-evening meets that I upload, which people don't tend to watch.
I think that's relevant here.

In general the car scene is great, i think the meet scene is worse than ever, but tbh it was never that great, i remember when every other car was a Saxo VTS, Pug 106 GTi or Corsa etc, and the decent rare stuff was the minority as always.
The pop and bang era is what sucks the most, but at least this meet people we're behaving somewhat.
