This was the Nürburgring's official season opener day, nicknamed Car Freitag, which I attended with my friends, @Munch997, @DDMHistorics and @1Guy1Skyline. We drove through the night to provide you with this video that captures the day from start to end! The police were noticeably a whole lot more present this year, compared to during last year's antics, but that didn't stop most people's desire to have fun!

The German police destroy the most car meets. In Germany we have very strict rules about how we can convert our cars. The cars are tested by a testing center - TÜV - which makes the parts and the testing very expensive. We also can't build just any parts on our car, they need an appraisal. You can't imagine how difficult it is to convert your car in Germany. There are special groups in the police that deal with tuning. They do a three-week idle period and are then allowed to remove the permit from cars if they believe they have not been converted correctly. That costs around €1500 - even if the inspection agency says the car is fine. In Germany you are essentially a criminal if you modify your car.
They want you to drive around in a stock electric car, thats why they are that strict there

@@garosama4517 No, they want you to drive around in a car that is safe to drive. Hence you can do any modification, as long as the modifications have been tested to be safe. Unlike in other countries, you are not allowed to drive around in death traps.

It was only busy Friday.. Saturday was more normal weekend and Monday was heavy rain so we get the track to ourselves 👍

as a dutch 8:40 that lifted Miata is registered in the Netherlands but its an import due to the numberplate(most likely US) same with the pink MX-5.
they have the dutch numberplate format including black on yellow but without the EU seal due to plate holder size differences
That's not a tuktuk at 16:07. It's a Piaggio Ape, basically a three wheeled scooter with a roof. It's a very popular little work horse in Italy to deliver goods through very narrow roads.

Back in the early 80s I went out for a night on the the town in Hannover. I got very very drunk. The Police pulled over, the Police man walked over to my door. I wound the window down. I then proceeded to say..."Look no steering wheel". Yea I was the passenger in a right hand drive car. Much to my suprise he just turned around got in his car and drove off.
Can't wait to see more from your trip! What an absolute load of cars. Seems like "bike week" motorcycle events in the US, but with crazy cars everywhere you look, and traffic / spectators everywhere.

That red R34 GTR is a piece of gem, in Hungary every year make a car show its called "AMTS " (Car Motor and Tuning show). I have photos that R34 and HKS Evo its beautiful. IRL how i know those a Toyo sponsored car, in Hungary stand the Toyo pitch.

You are allowed to modify your car to a certain point but for example de-cat your car or lowered until it scratches is a no-go.. Police will impound the car.
Its allowed, but they are very, VERY strict here, its also hard and very expensive to legally mod your car here.
@@AgtX999 mine is fully stripped out, fia cage, wheels exhaust suspension brakes seats no airbags etc, all approved just using certified parts which makes sense as they are better
