VAR should be a fail safe and rarely used. But its just getting used for everything. Appeal system could make it only used once or twice but I just dont know if that could work well either.
@@LukePinguMore But thats how its used though. VAR only steps in if the referee has made a mistake. Ive never seen a VAR check that shouldnt be checked. I have however seen VAR not do anything when it should. VAR does more good than harm
I can't see VAR being scrapped. I don't even really think VAR is the problem, it's some of the laws that need looking at (as you mention). Of course VAR has made mistakes, but a lot of the time they are implementing silly rules in place. If it got scrapped I'd put money on so many incorrect decisions the following season that it would be re-introduced the next year.
VAR should be kept, still improves on the original errors given on field plus I watch a few non league games and it is horrific some decisions that get given. On semi-automatic offside, works almost perfectly, what makes it semi-automatic is that the ref who is the VAR still has to select the correct frame, and if it is one frame off that could change everything. Plus get ready for even more millimetre accuracy where you might even think the attacker is inside but is offside slightly and is hard to see the offside, has happened a couple of times in the Serie A this season however the system is never faulty so when the system says ‘offside’ whether it is by 1mm or 1m it is genuinely offside and not manually selected by the officials where the end of someone’s shoulder/foot/leg is. So it is 100% accurate in that regard Plus the thought of ‘removing’ VAR is illogical if the Prem are having semi-automatic offside, objective 95% of the time but what about for the times where an attacker interferes with play or it is not known whether an attacker has made contact with the ball? VAR would be needed, so it has to be kept solely on that
If VAR worked how it was supposed to then it would be revolutionary. I don’t understand how the people hired are so incompetent. Strange how the same system works so perfectly in rugby .
The technology isn’t the problem, it’s the referees operating it….they are more worried about throwing their mates under the bus than making the correct decision at times, and just incompetent in general, both on the pitch and in the var booth
An absolutely life-changing improvement imo would be a requirement to announce the reasoning for a decision right after the replay. It will instantly hold people who make decisions accountable for what they do and will actually show the public their logic. And if their reasoning is as incompetent as it sometimes seems to be, it will finally bring us closer to the massive changes in referee lineup which is long overdue. Because the worst thing right now is total lack of understanding how the decisions are made and therefore lack of any accountability

Yeah should be only in massive mistakes from the ref not every decision

They shouldn’t scrap VAR, it just needs to be done much better

Thank god I dont have a team outside of Sweden, I honestly think VAR would kill my love for football
Can the doctor and Ruby save a baby farm run by babies from the terrifying bogeyman is the real question
The voter turnout for VAR would be higher than elections 😂😂😂
It should be scrapped so LiVARpool can stop their cheating
If no one knows how to use it properly why should we keep it?
No, we just need to put people who actually know what they’re doing in charge
No other league or in fact sport has a problem with technology

Love these type of videos from Luke ❤
Thanks, aiming to do about 3 per week
It feels so corrupt , they won’t get rid of it

They’ve spent years trying to avoid referee accountability so that won’t happen
Var is not the problem its the people, remember how smooth var was during the last euros and world cup
