Australians: *IT TOO HOT*
British people: *....I haven’t seen the sun in 6 months*
Lucie Wodskou omg 😅😅😅
Australia is Hot.
Try living in Florida for 2 days😭
Sara ! ! I can not ✈️ NO
Sara ! ! I live 8 hours drive south of Luke and it’s as hot and humid here as Florida. Where he is is even worse.
@@marmadukescarlet7791 I doubt it but go awf😭
Australia: People leave the club at 2 am
Greece: People arrive at the club at 2 am 🇬🇷
In argentina people arrive the club at 4 am lol
Haha
nahhh sometimes my mum comes home at 5 in the morning in au
in Portugal we arrive around 3/4am 😂
so true
The fact that june is winter for Australia and summer for the uk yet Australia it’s still hotter
Lucie Wodskou literally hahah
No it's not, Depends where you live it's a continent guys so has many different climates. I also didnt find UK to be that cold and i grew up in Australia. If you live in Melbourne, Hobart or one of the many small cities in mountains then it's cold in winter. It can actually feel colder than when I lived in Latvia in north east Europe even though Latvia is alot colder, just due to the lack of proper insulation and heating. Obivously anywhere in Australia gets a hot or warm summer, but agian winter dose exist even in Queensland there are parts which get four seasons.
And in my home town west of Brisbane, Toowoomba in winter it would be 11 during the day and negative -4 in the morning so depends where you are in Queensland.
Orange NSW is freezing in winter!
@@alyssajessie4779 I've been to Orange and bloody agree, it was snowing there the first time I went visited Orange and there was a fair abit of snow settled on near by Mt Mt Canobolas.
Melbourne: the winter is so cold
Canada: SAY WHAT?
Sweden: eXcUSe mE
Russia: "cough, cough"
Melbourne people are always having a sook. It makes the news whenever it gets over 30°C. I live a few hours from Melbourne and any time it gets hot there is usually 10° hotter here and we have a good old laugh at Melbourne.
Frizzy KiKi when tf is the weather on the news when it’s over 30° 😂 about 38° is more accurate
@@tedcuthbertson9862 its always in our news when it gets the littlest bit hot in Melbourne. 38 where I live is normal summer weather.

“In Australia alcohol is *SO* incredibly expensive!”
*cries in swedish*
You don't have alcohol in Sweden? 😄
Here in Colombia alcohol is not expensive, you can come to Colombia whenever you want to get drunk.
It's thanx to a tax that's meant to stop binge drinking
Australia: *15 degrees in winter* “it’s so cold!” *wears jackets*
Canada *-30 degrees in winter, is -5 one day* “Holy cow it’s really warm out today, eh bud?” *wears shorts*
Lol
Vancouver isn't that bad lol and global warming is bad so Canada 🍁 is good lol
Idk I've never said eh before
Fun fact: Sydney and Melbourne rank 3rd and 4th in the list of cities with largest foreign-born populations. I think we're a pretty diverse bunch! I'm sure you'll see it when you're in Melbourne this weekend 😄
ameliajennifer You are so are, I’m from Ermington in NSW (it’s under the shire of Parramatta), and so I can vouch for that.😊
Definitely was so diverse maybe it’s just where I live
@@LukeAlexander im from Sydney, its very diverse. Qld is mainly white ppl!
Queensland is certainly not the place to be to gather a snapshot of the country.
ameliajennifer agreed! I was thinking about this, I know that Melbourne is very diverse!!
Australia has no winter, England has no summer
We have 'Fummer' fake summer due to fake sun heat waves....🌞
Lol but Melbourne and Sydney like he said get super cold
You do realise that we have snow ski fields?
Haha I live in Canberra, we get -10 winters with snow and 45+ summers of crushing heat. We absolutely have seasons
Wrong on both counts, and I’ve lived in both countries.
The UK summer of 2018 was absolutely roasting, and I say that as someone who moved from Aus to England.
Winter in Ballarat (Western Victoria), where I’m from, can be extremely cold, and can drop to -1, -2 degrees. It’s snowed there at least three or four times in the last 15-20 years!
I’m an American living in Australia. Melbourne has the strangest weather. One minute cold...one minute warm. Can literally go from 102F to 70F within minutes. Crazy. I do like the cool change in the evenings after a hot day. It’s refreshing.
It is the city that is known to have four seasons in one day. If you don’t like the weather just wait five minutes
it's very similar to são paulo in brazil, we can go to a SUPER hot day to a storm that seems will end up the city, we need to go work with clothes for hot weather or cold and an umbrella, because everything could happen in one hour!
I’m trying to move there, do u have any advice?
Come to the UK... we can have 4 seasons in 1 day lol
70 isn't cold LOL
Luke: Australia doesn’t really have seasons
Canberra: -10 degrees in winter, 42 degrees in summer
I'm from Perth and we definitely have seasons, I'm lucky enough to live by a lake and bushland, you seen the wildlife and native flora change with the seasons.
man both are so true you go to queensland and seriously its warm and either sunny or raining pretty much it...but down south.....oh boy.. like you said 42 degrees in summer -10 in winter
The weather is so rough
Fkn oath and all that shit about lock out laws and licenses.
Canberra: we don't leave the club till sun rise.
Canberra: L's at 15 9 months P's at 17 P's off at 18 no restrictions.

as an aussie who spent most of my life in canberra it blows my MIND that foreigners dont know that we have snow/winter! we all wish we could be brissy but we just cant
Chanel Martin I agree, I live in Orange. We get snow probably every couple of years and we’ve gotten down to -8 in the few years I’ve lived here.
Not just heat in brissie mate, the humidity is what sucks the life out of you up here, but I love visiting the Philippines so it's ok here compared to there where it's humid all the time,
Yeah it’s a bit unfair to talk about the whole of Australia based on the subtropical part. SE QLD is subtropical. Like, we have rainforests (or we did before drought and bushfires). But parts of Australia are even lower than South Africa
Chanel Martin only canberra has the snows in Australia?

In the US, there’s different levels of kindness based on the state you’re visiting. I live in Texas and people are generally very kind in southern states (southerners call it southern hospitality) but of course, some visitors have upsetting experiences with rude and judgmental people down here. In the northern states (states like New York and Illinois), people tend to be more “real” rather than friendly and I believe it has to do with the hard-working nature of northern individuals. People are also pretty open almost everywhere in the US and tend to over share, which I love. Come visit us sometime! :)
Abby Kommor ooh I have a story about this. I live in New England and my mom takes the train to work everyday. I went with her once and the train was pretty quiet. But she said that she went to I think Alabama or Georgia once and people were a lot more friendly, and chatting on the train and the such.
sydney I think that’s a fair statement. Many people here can be very passive aggressive as well, instead of speaking their minds.
sydney yeah, that would make a lot of sense. Also, the north tends to be more liberal and the south tends to be more conservative (at least in my experience).
Texas is the greatest country in the U.S haha ;) Im fromTexas too.
There is way less racism in most states than South Africa. I guarantee it 🤣 Southern states like Mississippi, sure. But the REST of the country? Heck no! Albuquerque, NM btw.
Everything is so expensive here because we have to import most things (that Australia's natural resources do not provide) from overseas - and it takes a bloody long time to do so.
Infact food poor quality and expensive cost Is what made me hate Australia for the whole month i visitited It,as an italian

TBH i feel like Brisbane is the whitest of the big three city's in Australia. Melbourne is well known for being the most multicultural city and (as someone who lives in Sydney) we have so many people of all different races and cultural back grounds, like there are more asian kids in my year that white ones, so i think its just a Brisbane/gold coast thing

@@buticks That I think is the point most people miss - the temperatures mentioned mainly relate to coastal locations - very few measurements are taken in the greater part i.e. the Central Desert. Temperatures in the Centre can be catastrophic - I've seen birds fall from the sky trying to reach water - temperatures in Iron ore regions 53 - 60 Celsius for days on end. The temperatures spoken about are in our milder regions where people live.

The driver licence stuff changes depending on which state you live in, in the NT you have your Ls for 6 months before you can go for your Ps and we don't have the red and green stuff you're just on them for 2 years before you can go on your full licence. This is a really educational video! Thank you so very much Luke! Me and my fiance are actually looking at AU as a place to move to in the future. Mostly because of loving hot/humid weather all year around. ✌🏼 But, one funny thing about the pricing you are "complaining" about, is that, when compared to Sweden (where we currently reside), literally everything is cheaper! 😱 So, yeah, seems like a no-brainer for us! Thank you once again, for this fun and informative video! #kudos
It's sometimes minus 25 degrees here in Finland in the winter and it's so wild that it could be plus 25 there 😂😂😂
I hear you about the sun, UV index, and heat. Most of the time it’s between 29.4°C ,and 34°C is considered a high day...but the difference is that our humidity is around 65%-85%...so it’s pretty miserable. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really get cold anymore...at sea level, 15°C is about as cold as it gets. We do have snow, but usually only in the mountain tops...so I have friend who’ve gone snowboarding in the morning and surfing in the afternoon. Oh yeah, I call Hawai’i home. 😁
The racism in America is HORRIBLE...it really was getting better until January 2017...since then it’s been getting worse and worse, and it’s REALLY bad right now. 😡 I consider myself VERY lucky that I live on a rock in the middle of the ocean. Hawai’i is so diverse that we really don’t have racism here. Thankfully, we also don’t really have homophobia here...even my really effeminate friends rate our homophobia at a 2-3 with 10 being homophobia in the American South...and 1 being homophobia in West Hollywood. Hehe.

I used to live in bahrain but I’ve since moved to Ireland and BOY is the weather polar opposites
In Ireland it’s freezing all the time.
I’m always cold in even in the summer when it gets better. People will be in their shorts and I’m wearing a big winter coat. Especially since Ive been fortunate to spend time in really hot countries so that probably is one of the reasons why I have a high heat tolerance.
Thank you so much for the video, I'm planning on living in Australia and watching some videos help me know more or less about the country.
About the slang, I wanted to point out that shorting every word would be probably because of the hot weather. If you speak less, you waste less saliva, so the point is to shorten words so you can be hydrated for more time. This happens on my country (Spain), and where I live (Canary Islands) and the south part of Spain, the slang is mostly to shorten words because it's really hot, even on winter.
No we shorten words because we just do, it’s how we talk. Got nothing to do with it being hot 😂😂
@@laurenmillard7764 Yes, it does. Obviously not always is because of high temperatures; languages are always developing their own way and most of the time some syllabus and words may start to not be pronounced just because they might not be necessary cause we can still understand each other. But in hotter areas is a fact that dialects or languages are talked faster and words are shortened so not much salivation is wasted. Just do a simple research on the Internet LOL
I'm from NY I've always wanted to move to Australia. It's too cold in NY😭😭
Move to Vancouver
Aussie person here. I would like to just give some info from a different part of the country.
I live in the southern region of Australia, and I live inland. Our winters drop down to -5c and there are absolutely areas of this country that get snow every single winter, our summers can peak around 45c and its really dry dry heat so unlike most of the country, which is generally located on the coastal regions we dont get that same humidity.
Clubs have been doing door charges for decades, going back at least as far as the 80s-90s where the door charge would be around $10 for clubs in Sydney.
Spiders and snakes are definitely more prevalent in the country/regional centers of the country.
I am so afraid 😨 of spiders and snake 🐍
for some thingy you said since I’m in Sydney its different eg the weather cuz its quite cold here but i do agree with what you said about the weather like its like there’s summer and winter every years and that’s it. The differences between South Africa and Australia was actually really interesting.
Here in Canada there's a very diverse population, and people are very very friendly, you can start a conversation with anyone on the street walking by
What city do you live in?
Australia: *its better than being in constant cold*
UK: *you have no idea*
I'm from Johannesburg South Africa, it's winter now and it's fricken cold
Same 😂😂
A very informative video. Read some blogs and they said pretty much the same thing. I feel a lot have happened in Australia that made the government really clamp down on drinking and rules to get license. It's all to keep the ppl safe.
In America people in bigger cities tend to not be very nice, but in more rural areas people walking down the street do say hi to each other. Depends on the state you're in as well, but like NYC people are to themselves and not kind at all (imo), but in rural Ohio where I'm from most people are generally kind and friendly.
