This is incredibly helpful. You're able to concisely explain what you're doing in a way that most people can't seem to despite being at least as knowledgeable of how the systems work as you are. I read the manuals if I feel like I'm missing some critical information but I lean towards being a more visual/example-driven kind of learner so having a video like this succintly explain even the technical bits like getting the laser and frag radius all set up is immensely beneficial to that end.
There’s so much more to explain with these extensive systems, I’m really glad to know it’s helping people as I’m learning through making these videos too.
What helps my bullseye SA is to use steerpoint lines to draw a few radials in the mission area, corresponding to (for example) 30, 60, 90 degrees, etc., with the lengths corresponding to certain ranges (for example, the start and stop of each line being the 30 and 60 NM points). It really helps me orient the picture when AWACS is spittin' numbers.
Your fluidity and efficiency in pit is what I'm hoping to achieve. Never been that good. Been out of this sim for 15 years. Between learning how to install, theatres and all the peripherals (WDP,MC,WC) I spent the last 6 months trying to set up controls (X-52, glitchy, had to teardown & clean) and mapping to a working order again. I have no business over enemy territory since flying again. This sim is that immersive and brutal to those that don't know how to use it. I keep plugging away, one stone at a time. I hope others do as well. F16 Viper Tqs Warthog is the HOTAS I really want. Huge thanks to Benchmark Sims for the treat! Started 1998 for me on a Pentium 2. I have thousands of hours on original Falcon 4.0. Was my therapy. Nothing came close accept Janes lineup. Even that was pretty simple mfd's and functionality. Running a brand new HP 15L Victus Ryzen 5 with upgrade GPU AMD RX6600 & with upgraded Corsair 32GB RAM. No vr Headset. 70 inch 4K w/ custom 12in 500 watt sub woofer built into chair. What the sim needed, I gave it, except the full HOTAS, which is planned. I will be watching for more content so I subbed your account. Peace!🛫
in the 34-1 already said, point track and followed by cursor slew, will made the cursor bumpy. If you want to slew, goes into area track, then slew. It is normal and do not mean does not work, because point track will distinguished between non geometrical shape with geo shape, so I might said the jump is pilot mistake not to goes into area track. Well played btw.
I didn’t mean to imply point track was bugged, more that I wish it didn’t work like that. But broken is exactly what it sounded like. Thanks, I will mention this in my part 2. I have a bad habit of not doing this correctly!
@@Wheelman_PCAS Nvm sir, just drop by whoever play the BMS always have my respect. I play a lot with this too, even I get bored face 21/23/29A, so I take my freedom to change no more lower than 29S and 27. It is fun tho 🤣👌🏻
I’m new to BMS. How are you interacting with ATC? Voiceattack setup for particular commands or does the AI understand what you’re saying? Edit: after some googling, I came across AVCS4…is that what you’re using?
@@vukotichm no no voice attack at all - I use the normal QWERTY commands for some things like ATC, tankers. But I have a 4- way hat on my warthog mapped to 4 different AWACS keybinds - vector to air threat, declare, picture, and request help. I don't want to have to look away from the screen to contact awacs about these things. Voice attack isn't ideal for multiplayer with semi-realistic comms IMO - it just gets in the way. my keyboard is essential to my flying since I use the function keys, arrows, insert home etc. and number pad. so I have it on my desk in a way its usable without even looking while flying - except i have to glance down for the comms qwerty keys.

Please make more videos, you are an absolute master at explaining the finer points and your style helps me absorb the info better than others
Have you been enjoying the ground pounding? I’m too busy these days for video making, but maybe later this year.

How’s your bms flying going?
I enjoyed reading this comment of your experience man! Good to have you back in the action.
It is a great watch! Thank you for spelling out what you are doing and thinking.
I really admire your skills. And thank you for sharing your process, I for one never uses FCR for ground attacks, but I will definitely do so now.
I like the avatar! The FCR is great - did some CBU drops today thru thick clouds on top of enemy tanks using just the FCR.
love it! incredible knowledge
Wow! What a great content!
Can you do an overview of how you set up OpenKneeboard?

Great stuff...Thank you
how do you know how big to make the killbox?
Right click on the map and select “additional steerpoint in line 1 (or2-4)” you can have 5 or 6 points in these additional lines, drag em around
@@Wheelman_PCAS Its tricky for people to find this. Click on point and *HOLD* & Drag

Easy to use takes about 10 minutes to setup
