About :
This is my video review of the ZenUI 6 on Asus Zenfone 5Z which is running on stable Android 10. I have tried to keep the video as short and detailed as possible.
Specifications:
It has a 6.2 inch Full HD+ IPS display.
It has the Snapdragon 845 underneath along with 6/64, 6/128 and 8/256 gigs of RAM and Internal Storage respectively.
It sports a 3,300mAh battery.
It has a 12mp rear OIS+EIS camera and a secondary 8mp 120-degree wide angle camera. It also has an 8mp selfie snapper.
It is running on ZenUI 6.0 which is based on Android 10.

The mi band issue is because Asus is aggresive in closing apps. Go to Auto start manager and keep the Mi band app as an exception and the problem is solved. Had the same issue in a previous version of Android for 5z
@@joecp05 I know! Figured it out when I was on Oreo. But this time it was still acting weird. However, after a month, the issue got resolved automatically, not even sure how.

@@AshishKumar-gl4ui if you are looking for gaming at a budget you should definitely go for it. Front camera isn't that good, but back cameras are nice and it has a decent battery life with latest Android 10.

As u said that most of the people got the FOTA update.. but I don't think so. Because in my surrounding no one received it. And I've gone through almost all latest 5z update video on UA-cam as well as other sources and their comments as well as zentalk community, everyone is saying that they haven't received any FOTA update yet, they have manually updated their phone. And on asus website, no firmware update posted in their BIOS and Firmware section for Indian page. But u can see the same for Taiwan.
If you know personally the person who got the FOTA update please let me know.

Finally got update. Using it for one week but it seems very unstable background app are killed frequently. Gesture support is poor it makes lower part of screen unresponsive for touch which is very frustrating.
Can you please suggest fix for this problem.

@@shauryapratap6426 gesture navigation are of Google's, so it will work like that in every other smartphone, but you can always choose from other options. About the background apps, after installing Android 10 it somehow removed my previous settings of mobile manager, I had to select the apps again which can run in the background. So check those settings too. And mobile manager is in settings now.
Not able to use Android Beam in android 10...what to do?
Android 10 don't support Android Beam feature. Not sure why Google made this decision.

But don't update to Android 10 yet, there are some bugs right now and Asus has confirmed that they are working on it. I will be making a video as soon as the bug free version hits the phone.

@@OnceUponATechie its happens whenever I minimize any application. All apps crash in the baground. I saw your video about how to downgrade to Android 9. Currently downloading the file. Will revert back to Android 9 ASAP. they literally ruined the phone with Android 10
@@zubairhiroli2680 hey before downgrading, check one thing. Though it's highly likely, but no harm to check this before downgrading. Go to developer options and search for the option 'don't keep activities', turn it off if it is on. And do let me know!
@@zubairhiroli2680 also, check the option below it 'background process limit' and switch it to 'standard limit'. If all these things doesn't work, then downgrading is the only option left.

(ZENFONE 5Z)I've upgraded my android version to android Q but I'm unable to access the dark theme properly , my youtube is not dark, infact no other app is dark expect the system apps.
UA-cam already has a native dark theme. And yes, not all apps support the dark theme, it depends on the developer of the app to provide the dark theme or not. However, there's a force dark theme option that is not perfect on any phone, and as mentioned in my previous video it is not working on 5Z.

Please back up your data before upgrading to Android 10. If you want to downgrade your device’s software version to Android 9 by official software package, it will erase all data from your device’s internal storage.
did you face any data lose after upgrading to android 10
coz my internal storage is filled with 189 GB and its impossible to backup some important file . Is it safe to upgrade my phone to android 10 .
Downgrading will erase the data but not upgrading. And yes Asus has mentioned to backup the data before upgrading to Android 10, but they only mention this as precaution. I have upgraded from Android 8 to 9 and 9 to 10, and in both scenarios I didn't lose anything. I understand it's difficult to backup so much data, but in general there should be a backup.

The exact same thing happened with one more of my subscriber too. He also bought the phone 4 4 days ago and not getting any OTA. We tried mutilple things but nothing worked. I would suggest you to contact Asus customer care, they will help you.
my mobile was switching off regularly after the update on mid of December and now it is brick... i will visit Asus service center shortly....(error msg was also coming that charging stopped due to battery temperature too low!

Rename it to this - UL-Z01R-WW-100.04.44.98-user.zip , And don't keep it in a folder, it should be in internal memory, restart the phone, you'll get a notification. And done.

Bro. Can u tell me if you are facing the situation of saving contact. I can't see anything on the screen. It's complete white. Can't see number and options.. it happen after andorid 10 update.
You need to change the theme option from the settings. Select the dark theme by going into display-system color theme and then select dark theme. And do let me know if it worked.
And if it still doesn't work then try restarting the phone. Sometimes just a restart fixes the issue.

It's totally worth it according to me. There are some bugs for sure, but even OnePlus have bugs in their software releases. In order to push these updates quicker than other companies, the company gets less time on testing, that's why bugs are more as compared to companies like Samsung. I would choose new updates with some bugs rather than getting no bugs and late updates.

Install Android 10,it's better than Android 9. There are some bugs for sure, but don't have any annoying bugs.

Nope, I have never faced this type of issue. The best thing would be to visit the service centre. They are ones who can resolve this issue.
My phone scores 2.96ks after update before it was 2.90ks on anutu..
I feel some bugs while opening apps draw..it's shows some animation renders which are not so smooth... screen recorder can adjusted in setting I also used to hear weird noises in recording while playing pubg... dark theme is great feature but downgrading all the AI customization & features is a minus for me...

If it was an OTA update, then it is the stable version, because you will not get beta updates via OTA.

Sadly no way to bring it back on Android 10. They might change their mind and bring back AI charging maybe?

If camera is your 1st priority then don't buy it as there are better phones to buy in that department. But if you are looking for performance, then you can't go wrong with 5z.

But there is some serious ram management issue present on Android Q. Whenever I leave a game/app by tapping home screen, the game/app gets killed. Feels like im using a 2GB ram phone while multi tasking lol

Thank you! And what games do you play on 5z? I didn't try switching between 2 games but I have switched between COD and apps like spotify or whatsapp and didn't face any issue. Do remember Google photos app is giving a hard time to the phone, don't know why, so try disabling it.

Just go into settings-system-about phone-software information - then tap on builder number around 12 times, it will open the dev option.

It will not clear the internal memory. Although Asus recommends to backup the data before installing, but it will not wipe the data. But in general, there should be a backup so that even if data gets deleted due to some reason, you can have most of the data back.

Hey i brought a Asus 5z recently about 3 weeks ago and am facing double touch issue in display while gaming like PUBGM and CODM,the screen is shaking when am using two fingers (one to move and other to look around) in above games makes it really hard to aim,issue was there in stock and as well as after android 10 plss any idea ?
Note: I went to local Asus service center and they had the same issue in pubg in their phone as well so they said its coz screen is very sensitive,but am not satisfied.

the battery drain in gaming is very high,gives about less than 2 hrs of gaming SOT,
also there is some issue/bugs regarding app switching.

Well this phone suck trust me, i use this phone since one month after release, better sell it back. Everything just so bad the signal,battery,fingerprint, in app camera(like whatsapp) everything

Twin app support is still there? Can use two whatsapp at a time?
It is there, but limited to around 11 apps. And whatsapp is supported.

No no no, this phone has so many bug just search asus zs620kl zentalk and see all the bug there is, i recommended huawei nova 5t
With X2, you have more cameras like macro lens and a dedicated depth sensor which will help in portraits, however, the main 64MP camera didn't impress me that much, that being said, I haven't used it extensively like the 5Z.
If you take too much selfies, then go for X2 because 5Z's front cam is not good. But back cameras will not disappoint you.
My preference would be 5Z.

Just go to Settings-system-about phone-software information-tap 12 times on build number, you will unlock the developers option.

Hey man, thanks for the video, I have been I having lots of problems after the update, like any music app like Saavn, or Spotify closes automatically if I use it in the background and the phone has become laggy after the Android 10 update.
Do one thing, search for mobile manager in settings and give them permission to run in the background. ZenUI is really aggressive in killing background apps. And I received an update 2 days ago, let me test it for a few days and I'll make a video if these issues are resolved or not.

Rename it to this - UL-Z01R-WW-100.04.44.98-user.zip , And don't keep it in a folder, it should be in internal memory, restart the phone, you'll get a notification. And done.

When Google photos app was running in the background it was draining and heating up my phone. And yes it's true they have removed zenimoji, selfie master, Go2Pay, AI charging. Do you use any of these features?

Not sure about the regular Zenfone 5 as it is not available in my region. However, I have read some articles about it and according to them Asus has not said anything about the Android 10 update.
