Informational, thank you. Just a note, the expression "look forward to" means "be excited about" or "expect with anticipation". If it's something negative, like paint wearing away, you can say "watch out for", or "expect to happen".

He’s using the phrase “look forward to” as sarcasm. Sarcasm is an ironic or satirical remark used it to say the opposite with humor or bitterness.

Just picked up a 2019 Abarth after 3 years of owning a Sport (both manual) and this video had insight that I could not find anywhere else. Particularly the side skirt issue. I will be on any mechanic when they jack up my car to make sure this won't happen to me. Quite frankly, video's like these are the bread and butter of UA-cam and I thank you for putting it up.
Chris Rogers if you change your own tires and other stuff needing a jack / jack stand it’s straightforward, most garages will have to stick something between your car and their hoists so I’ve noticed once or twice, now I just do things myself and when ever it’s needed for warranty related book work stuff I’ll bring it in to dealer, keep an eye on your coolant level in case a clamp is creating leak issues as a piece of mind
I just purchased a 2013 Abarth for $7,300 with a little over 75K on the clock, the radio buttons and interior are in perfect condition. The TPMS reads all four tires perfectly. I agree the stock shifter has a lot of throw but nothing ridiculous. So far there are no issues with the arm rest. The front LH side of the ground effects looks to be a bit loose but nothing serious, they are held on with 3M tape. My passenger side door handle hinge is broken and I ordered a replacement hinge on Amazon for under $12.00 and it looks like about a two hour job to replace it depending on the method used. The windows and sunroof work perfectly. So far 160 HP seems to be plenty with my wife and I both in the car. There is one other cosmetic defect where the LH rear side marker and rear bumper cover are damaged. I ordered two new smoke marker lenses and RED LED bulbs for under $40 and will be adding vent visors over the windows. Three days into ownership I am loving this little car. I did a lot of reading and watched a lot of videos prior to seeking my Abarth and I looked for the things you mentioned and only found the door handle issue, the marker light and bumper cover scrape were caused by some kind of minor impact or brush against something and will be fixed. I appreciate you and the time you took to make this video, it helped me during my purchase decision. It looks like there will be some issues as time goes on but right now parts are readily available and very inexpensive. This car is an absolute blast!!!!

Yes bruva I'm buying another abarth this year them bottons are due to a women's nail varnish common in most wips especially cars I've bought of women 💯👍🏿
TRUE!!! 90% of the time it can be traced back to regular female use. The black coating will get soft to the touch and break down over time.
For the side skirts look into what is called a "wind screen kit" they are about $4 on ebay. It will secure them tightly if you don't mind seeing the hardware.

My 2017 Abarth has its side skirt peeling as well. Took it in for its first oil change at the dealer where I bought it and it started to peel after a while. Took it back to the dealer and wanted to get the side skirt fixed. I assumed it was still under warranty. Cost me $500 for them to replace both sides. Worst part is that it’s starting to peel off again.
Wow. Too bad. It is a cool car. I have been going through YT to check before buying second hand 2015 with 9K, but a lot of negative feedback. Leaks , peeling and what is not...
... also, they fixed the stereo button issue (touch screen) and a few other tid-bits like the arm rests on the newest versions. The interior on my 2019 looks totally different. I know the arm rest is rectified because I never had an issue with my Sport after 3 years of heavy use.

They're 160hp because the car came out in 2007 and that was a lot for such a small car back then. They'd be over 200 if it came out these days

Have an abarth never broke a door handle never had a failed window motor or a dash light fault a big issue is the standard lower arms that wear out on the rear Bush my advice replace for polyurethane bushes.

My 2015 has 50k and not one problem. Not does my radio paint have any defects like this.. may be oil on hands causing.

The radio thing order radio decals kit off eBay esc replace sensor 8.00 brake switch simple when comes on a lot eventually it's gonna go out

The random TC light and hill assist lights coming on are likely from a bad brake pedal sensor. Cheap and easy to fix if you can get your elbows to clear the edge of the fucking steering column cover. Im getting angry just thinking about that.
Has anyone ever experienced off a cold start on your abarth were it rough idles and check engine light, esc light, hill start off, and have no throttle response, this just happened to me this morning. I started it off the first cold start and it idled like it had a cam in it and I had a Christmas tree of lights on my dash and so I turned it right off turned it on again same thing but I let it run to see if it would change and did not, turned it off popped the hood to see if I could get a video of it and turned it on and magically stopped doing it all lights went away except for check engine light, please if anyone knows what this is let me know
Go to a dealership to see what codes the car threw.
Rough idle from cold start is a common thing on Fiats, I believe. Mine does it all the time too.
But without error codes, just a couple of seconds of rough idle and that is it.

Do these engines are so easy to upgrade you can get 250 horsepower usually no problem you can increase majority of the horsepower yourself just by adding dual intakes and so forth
