Interesting how "Kizaru stocks are plummeting" because he's becoming the most human character for me with every new chapter on egghead. Humanly afraid and hypocritical? Yes, but in terms of OP character writing he's been the most authentic character so far for me personally. All others are to some degree "comical" (which makes sense, given the medium) but Kizrau could star in a Seinen and wouldn't be out of place. By far my favourite Marine.

There are three ways to predict where Van Auger is going to teleport to: a) Future vision through Haki. b) Clever thinking by predicting logically where he will pop up. c) Just spam the entire fighting area with traps and get lucky. ...I could see Usopp eventually using all three methods during the fight. His plant based ammo could be used for b and c options.
Yes ussop can use his plants to set up the battlefield which limit the option for van auger to teleport to.

@@roronoauchiha69 I don't *think* his teleportation works that way. Like he could teleport himself to Usopp, teleport them both back to the trap and teleport away, which accomplishes the same thing with extra steps, but I don't think he can "switch places" with people a la Law.
Could be wrong. We've seen very little and he himself said he isn't very good with the power yet.
My headcanon is that Van auger uses sight to teleport

One small detail I think we missed was Saturn knowing about Catarina. Sure she was a level 6 prisoner that history has erased from the books but the fact her recognised and addressed only her and not Augur may show she might be more dangerous than we thought.

I had a small theory about Catarina due to her nickname of "Cresent moon hunter" that she could be a cleaner for the celestial dragons. Basically she goes after the women that were send back to the lower world after the celestial dragons got bored of them.

i think that the obvious parallel set between the strawhats and Blackbeard pirates wont actually go though because Blackbeard takes notes of his opponent's powers and will set his crews' 1v1 with someone they would have a straight advantage against for example usopp vs burgess or sanji and Catarina or doc q as a woman which i also think is a lot more "oda" of a thing to write
the obvious counter for this is to the strawhats not to needlessly split up into 1v1s and cover their friends if they're being deliberately targeted for a bad matchup

Now that we have confirmation that they were the ones sent to Egghead, I can't help but feel it was Van Augur was the one who helped Luffy. He has the kit to pull it off and it fits the bill too much for him to not be the perp. He was probably scoping things out from afar with his insane observation, then then when discerned that all eyes were on Bonney, it was the perfect time for him to zip in an give Luffy some food. And Kizaru happened to see it. Considering that they are OG early crewmates and talked a lot between themselves over the crossroads of fate, I wouldn't be surprised if Blackbeard himself implied to Van Augur that he feels destined to have a showdown with Luffy, giving him the greenlight to assist them in that crucial moment.
Always been a fan of Van Augers style but never thought he was that cool but the panels "The World" into that sideways stare down made him one of the coolest characters in recent memory.

I think that another underrated aspect of Van Auger's devil fruit is the fact that what makes sniper terrifying is that you don't know where they are, and they lose that when you figure out where the shots are coming from, but not with Van Auger, he would become a truly terrifying sniper, being able to come from anywhere

My entire thought process the moment Devon touched Saturn: "Oh no...oh my no..."
I think one of the best things they could do for Zoro here is reveal that he's pulling a Luffy so to speak and is using his fight against Lucci to train himself, since Zoro hasn't been shown to be able to use Advanced conquerors haki willingly yet so is using this fight as a way to try and get a handle of it, so picturing Jimbei turning up being like "Zoro what are you doing?! we have to go now!" Lucci preparing himself for this to suddenly turn into a 2 V 1 just for suddenly Zoro to blitz him and one shot him with advanced conquerors haki, prob have some cool new attack name and all then Zoro walking up to Jimbei and just being like "I had to get a handle on something real quick, im finished now go so lets go!" which would hopefully pay off in Zoro using the same attack to hurt Saturn later.
This is something that would be good to see and makes sense as well

My current running theory:
Blackbeard's crew has 11 members counting Blackbeard, Luffy's has 10 members. It's almost a given that Luffy's crew gets 1 more member, and that member, I believe, will be Sabo. I know he's in the revolutionary army now, but it's possible that he decides to join Luffy when they next meet up for a lot of reasons that could be made (he's his childhood friend, Dragon would likely approve due to Luffy being his son, he fits the final needed fruit type in Logia because they already have a 2 zoans, 2 paramecia, and no logia users).
Going over the potential matchups:
Luffy vs Blackbeard (this is a given)
Zoro vs Shiryu (Swordmaster second in commands)
Sanji vs Burgess (Physical fighter second in commands)
Usopp vs Van Augur (Sniper fight)
Nami vs Lafitte (Battle of the navigators, plus flying type is weak to electric type)
Chopper vs Doc Q (Doc vs Doc)
Franky vs Vasco Shot (Drunk on Cola vs Drunk on Alcohol)
Jinbe vs Sanjuan Wolfe (The two biggest members)
Robin vs Catarina Devon (Last two female members)
This of course leaves Kuzan, the ice logia.

He also makes a lot more since thematically to join the Straw Hats than Caribou or Kizaru do. This last member will be an on-the-boat central member, and as such, it has to be someone who can already slot in to that life easily and get along with the crew going forward. This would be Sabo. Plus, it would easily lead up to a Sabo/Luffy fight against Akainu to avenge Ace.
Waits for Zorro shares rise as Sanji recreates the Awake the One Piece Openings before Dressrosa which had the Monster Trio versus the Three Admirals.
Being able to teleport anything or anyone he is touching is huge too, he makes everyone on his team so much stronger

I still find it interesting about the real implications of Devon copying Saturn. If she gets to Mariejoa, there is a chance that she will find out about Imu, and that knowledge coupled with the fact that they will more than likely take Caribou with them means that Teach will ACTUALLY have leverage on the world government. This leads to Teach either attempting to take the empty throne leading to Imu’s face reveal or it leads to a global revolt by the marines

The thing about the OP fanbase that always cracks me up is how all the theories are based on the most non-writer logic you can possibly think of. Like the thinking behind them is almost the exact opposite of how a writer would think.
Like a lot of these theories, if they were true, would straight up make Oda a bad writer. Thats enough to disprove most of these theories. And it's also why Oda always ends up nonchalantly destroying these theories; because Oda is a good writer.
I’ve been hella saying to people that Egghead’s Labophase is made to go to space by the shape of it:
- Eggshell shaped dome
- Vegetation inside
- Carefully positioned on an Island Cloud, also hiding the bottom part of the Building.

Okay Now Hear Me Out after watching this video i am pretty sure that to defeat blackbeard Luffy will need to someone else to fight bb together with(2v1) cuz as we know Luffy and Roger Have A lot of Similarities Roger's First Mate -Rayleigh(Strong Ass Swordsman), Luffy's- Zoro(Strong Ass Swordsman) and There Dream Was to Be King of the Pirates. Roger was on Par With WhiteBeard(probably stronger in his prime) And Rocks D. It seems Auger is "limited" to warping himself and someone else maybe "only" anyone from a couple hundred feet away to a mile or so. I say limited and only in quotations because those are still very strong abilities, even without having mastered them.

The last Ponegliph is OBVIOUSLY on Marijold. There are three ponegliphs out in the world it only makes sense that the world government would want to keep 1 of them themselves as there own insurance against pirates. This is just logical and it will help lead to the finale of the show where Luffy has to actually face the elders.
This is also backed up by Blackbeard sending them to copy Saturn. his next stop is guess where.
This isnt just some get Saturn's power to control the pacifists collect the ancient weapons collect and army etc. This is the final arc of the show being built.
Bonus Take: Kizaru is definitely Sanji's opponent, not Luffy's. There is no evidence that the admirals were ever meant to be 'as strong as Kaido'. and the fact that luffy beat kaido means that there is no longer any serious hype factor or story power for Luffy to beat the admirals. it would just feel like "of course...".
If you disagree just answer this. after King and Queen who are the next "stronger " enemies for Sanji and Zoro to overcome? there is no one left.
The admirals are for luffy's crew to defeat Luffy is already above them.

My theory on Katerina Devon's powers is that she can copy the abilities and memories of those she touches, but she can only have 9 identities not including her own, like the myth her devil fruit is based off(9 tails for 9 powers)
From everything I know about 9 tailed foxes she probably can keep 8 different people and their abilities copied with her own ability being the main she can probably individually use the abilities or when she enters beast state or man beast state she can probably use them all so she's probably broken as fuck she could copy boa Hancock and just transform into the most beautiful woman and use her love fruit like now shit scary she's got devil regeneration too....
We as a community should stop criticising Kizaru. He is going through the same things Kuzan and Garp have gone through in Ohara and Marineford respectively. After Ohara Kuzan became the laziest man in the world and it took over 20 years for him to quit his job, and that was only out of shame and envy after he lost to Sakazuki. Garp quit only after the war but he is still in the marines as an instructor and keeping his title of vice-admiral. Kizaru tried to only kill Vegapunk and spare anyone else, but the situation is forcing him to fight and kill everyone else because they are keeping fighting and complicating things instead of just shutting their mouths and running away. Then Kuma showed up and things became even worse. Poor Borsalino
kizaru is a complete disappointment he run away against luffy the entire time because he was afraid of luffy's massive COC.

I like the idea of blackbeard being Joyboy descendant because it makes luffy less of a chosen one(not that he is exsctly one, but seems like every arc he is more destined to greatness). It would be like saying "what makes someone destined to greatness isn't bloodline or inheritance, its their actions."
This is what I wanted. BB is the actual descendant of Joy boy. Or at least, from the person who has that DF at the time.
And the stocks for Zoro are still higher than Sanji's currently. Sanji did one single deflection of an attack that is still highly questioned if it was him or the boots whilst Zoro with only two swords and no haki or bandana is straight up mocking an awakened Lucci for thinking he is the one controlling the fight.
Zoro is out of breath struggling and Lucci not stronger then Kizaru

I can’t wait for everyone to be shifted to different off opponents during the final Blackbeard fight. Why put similar skill against skill like we have seen so often when you can have different skills against each other? That counter play is up Blackbeards alley and why would Oda just do the same thing over and over?
We are already seeing that with Zoro and Rob. It’s not really sword vs sword now is it?
My prediction for next chapter:
- We get more scenes of Caribou going crazy for the BB Pirates, and even his backstory on how they inspired him to set out like Bartolomeo did after seeing Luffy.
- Followed by a scene on how they got to Egghead on "1 ship".
- After recovering, Saturn remembers his talk w/ Shanks which confirms that Teach was the piraye they talked about.
- The battle between the monster Trio against Saturn, Kizaru, and Lucci continues.
- No break next week.

You have to remember that the marine Giants are all around 50, so they are teenagers compared to the giant warrior pirates who are currently in their prime.
Aokiji is Dio, Zeke Jeagar, Luck Gandor, Bobobo, Ramon Victorino (not Jackie), Dalzollene, Scar's brother, Shirogane's Father, Shigeru Aoba, Gyoro-Gyoro, Umanosuke and Luke Valentine. That guy is a legend.

Is it ever been stated in the manga that Blackbeard can only eat 3 devil fruits if not what if he can eat as many as he wants because of his special lineage. Imagine luffy can theoretically use any power he can imagine and Blackbeard can use any devil fruit as long as he can eat it
Sorry Swamp-Nakama people, but I have to admit, Caribou is a better fit for the Blackbeard Pirates, both in motif and abilities, than he ever was for the Straw Hat Pirates.

I'm still mad people called me delusional that Sanji was gonna have a feat over Kizaru in this arc from my arc predictions. King and Kaido were the strong guys of Wano which was Zoro's arc. Sanjis bounty is the 4th highest and Science/speed are characteristics of Sanji. Were still waiting for Sanji to go through with his threat to become the pirate most feared by the government. Also we haven't had a Sanji main arc in a while to signify his main strength. Wano he wasn't apart of the main even on the roof and defeated Queen with no trouble being actually mad. Whole Cake doesn't count for the same reason Marineford doesn't count as a powerful moment for Luffy being it was a character development sad arc. We just need one more arc where Sanj proves himself against a really serious opponent before we can actually start buffing the rest of the crew. Zoro and Luffy I'd argue are the only two endgame ready characters. This was my thought process before and where we are in egghead and this thought process used on other characters for me have always come to fruition.
I think who people are looking down on is lucci cuz lucci wasnt able to be defeated by luffy while kizaru was 1 shot in g5. Kizaru didnt knock luffy put but his g5 ran out while in lucci's case luffy g5 ran out before knocking lucci down. So lucci may not be on kizaru level or stronger but is defo on admiral level like greenbull or fujitora

trebol and caribou are the worst designed characters by Oda. That is ONE of the many reasons why one piece is still in my top 4 and it will never be higher than that. I understand that this manga's genre is GOOFY. But those 2 are ugly af.
I think it's more likely that Buggy is the son of Rocks. It fits why the government keeps thinking he is a threat despite evidence of the contrary, a great parallel with Shanks, and it would further perpetuate the legend that he is. When he becomes the pirate king, how fitting that the son of Roger's greatest enemy earned his crown.
