Julian’s voice sounds so good..
LifeOfTheParty he's back!!!
LifeOfTheParty Wiiu
Jonathan Sanchez :D NFC’s
LifeOfTheParty Yeah, he fucking nailed the singing - all the higher register parts especially. Awesome.
Could his vocals be prerecorded? Cos from the first second i heard him i thought that's something's off and like not live ??
This performance seriously shows how great of a voice Julian has. His range on this song is absolutely insane and he sounds clear as crystal.
The Don’t call me stupid part is so pure, he killed it
@@timothybrown5999 that’s literally my fav part, he sounds so good
Sometimes he reminds me of Jim Morrison and Elvis.
@@MrCHAQUETTA he’s better than both 😳
@@drew6559 😱 You think so? I love'em all. Hugs!
FINALLY THEY REUPLOAD IT
Wow. One of the best Voidz performances.
Jasmine Tarin I have it on repeat!!, By far best performance!!!,
I agree. I’m just surprised they didn’t fuck up Julians mic like they do EVERY SINGLE TIME. It’s fucking Julian he is a lead man and he has 1 mic. Let’s make sure that fucker works please. If your reading this Julian which you aren’t I will fucking make sure your mic pumps with the correct volume and correct effects every single show or you can kick me right in my lips every time I don’t.
Legend has it that Mobil shirt is one of Julian's favorite shirts.
I saw him wearing that same shirt in Mexico lol
Andre Terrazas I think me and you went to the same concert, saw him wearing that shirt at coordenada festival internacional Guadalajara
Jafet Sanchez I wish I would of gone there but I saw him in Mexico City at a small venue !
...and camel
He even wore it at village underground in London when i saw him there 😂
His voice is has a melancholy beautiful aspect to it
Damn... his voice is unbelievably good!
I know we all like to rag on Jimmy's chronic enthusiasm but I appreciated it here
chronic enthusiasm, what a great term haha. but I agree.
That's because he's actually genuinely stoked- he and Julian have been friends since the very beginning.
@@halifaxskater YES! Jimmy has supported Julian with the strokes, his solo career and now with the voidz.
@@blairlane5493 what do you mean?
To be fair, his job is to be chronically enthused
I'm crying y'all this is literally my favorite song you don't understand
I know exactly how you feel. I first heard this song two-ish years ago and listened to it non-stop. I still listen to it daily and the same feeling from two years ago HITS every time.
We understand
We understand
Your girlfriends they wont understand
you don't understand, we don't understand
I'm so addicted to this song
Andrea Cardona hug me
me too!!!
siii tienes facebook
me too
Same
JC is just effortlessly cool. The most charismatic man ever without even trying.
3:15 I love his voice omg
ikr
the "Is not my style" is so "Room of Fire" song
Destroucs we
I wasn't actually expecting him to shout. It caught me by surprise. Just awesome.
Michael Jackson too Virgo
Julian's voice is like none other I've heard, it's earthy and rich and BRILLIANT. An incredible musician.
Why are you perfect, Julian Casablancas?
Katzen König fuck off
oh, honey ....
Katzen König if he can't sing in this way few people could love him*. But he's got a wonderful voice.
Katzen König Get some personality and self-confidence. Money isn't everything a chick looks for.
Nobody’s perfect.
Julian Casablancas is an impressive song writer. It's to bad he's not getting the recognition he deserves.
Because people would rather listen to repetitive songs about guns booty and fat stacks all over and over than this.
Literally millions of people know him for the strokes. The voidz isn’t as mainstream so he’ll have a niche audience, but trust me so many people recognize and appreciate Julian Casablancas
Um methinks he has reco
He has it from us and many other fans
He absolutely has the recognition he deserves
Julian's vocals are on fire! 🔥
I agree with you it's sound way better than the record.
That's a drummer who loves their job! He is really feeling the beat, even dancing to it.
jules sounds and looks amazing
He has lost some weight, indeed
Katzen König
Fuck you
Katzen König good job!☺️
I respect Julian so much for having the balls to try and create a fresher sound. There's so much mediocre b.s. in the mainstream. I'm liking the new songs a lot.
...and hes still the coolest m'fer to walk on stage
MiamiACR He started the band, but thx for replying with such an intelligent, heartwarming response. Peace and good vibes. You obviously need them.
MiamiACR and I can assure you it's mainly his brainchild
MiamiACR his solo stuff didn't suck though. Why so hostile?
MiamiACR dude the funny thing is he actually did write every part of is this it and room on fire... they helped around angles I think and tbh I think parts of his solo work are beaut
He wrote for all the instruments for two whole albums? He told the band how to play all the music? NOPE.
Julian leaves me speechless he has 2 bands and always works with different artist in there bands so much lyrics to remember Julian you are truly special he is my favorite Musician
he always forgets the lyrics lol
The more I listen to Julian's music, the more I'm impressed with him. The Strokes are obviously great. And as is Phrazes For The Young. But the fact that he can also write a song like this for another band, is just insane. This song has so many good elements, that it's just crazy. Well done Julian + The Voidz
Albert Hammond solista album is too mind blowing.
Most attractive man. Ever.
He is, and I’m a straight man.
🤤
He’s perfect lol
Yeah Jimmy is so hot inne
@@jens2049 tf outta here cuh
Yesss this is up again!
I couldn’t find the full version anywhere
Man it's been 2 years and i never get tired of this song, especially this live performance.
Jimmy seems genuinely happy to have the voidz on the show
Julian is, IMHO, the most talented artist of our time.
hes definitely something else... he stands out among everyone and everything, i dont think its a coincidence his intitials are "J.C." lol
My boi Julian looks like he's bouta go win the Indi 500
Best comment of 2018
lmaooo
Wrong series, but yes
That's actual talent woah I love him
Stunning performance. I'd say that they had Julian's vocals set a little loud... Not that Julian didn't sound amazing though.
I like it better with his vocals up a bit, studio version its hard to hear his voice, both brilliant
remember it might have sounded different to the live audience
one of the most underrated voice ever
Julian has really polished his voice over the years and I really love how clear the results of this are. Damnit this was good.
Julian literally sounds so amazing live wow
Honestly, Imma simppp for him🥺🥺🥺
Soooo good
strokes fan I agree, hey you do like The Strokes?
strokes fan, how do you have a New Abnormal profile pic if you comment this 2 year ago?
@@lewisvinson2985 When you change your profile pic it will change on old comments too
@@lewisvinson2985 They show the current way your profile looks no matter when you left a comment, (your profile is not set in stone)
Qyurryus live would have been crazy!
ololol662 they would’ve scared everyone off with that one 😂
It would be hella interesting to see the faces of all the normies in the audience =D
Kodi "normies" hahahah
Hahahaha
It would have been top news lol the normies arent ready for it. They still in Angles era from the strokes lol
I heard this on spotify first and now here, yessssss. I love this song 😍
Julian Casablancas is the best frontman of the 21st century so far
I don't dissagree though Matt Schultz of Cage The Elephant deserves recognition as well, ive literally never seen the guy phone it in and theyve played just about every fest I was at.
Alex turner and brendon urie say hi
liam gallagher
Liam Gallagher
Louis Jeon Liam Gallagher hasn’t been able to sing since 1998
KEEP DOING YOUR THING
Julian is just one of the best things that has happened to us as a society. I dont want us to ever lose him.
Julian Casablancas is a gift that keeps on giving. Thank you!
julian's writing is legendary, timeless, and prophetic all at the same time. voidz are saving 2021 for me tbh
This is a masterpiece.
Agreed
Love Jules’ voice, it gets right into your heart and stays there.
the strokes are back with some weird new haircuts
whothef#ckistemps zbsmdbsjvsksb
Katzen König they changed their name since julian doesnt want to come off as the star of the project
*badass haircuts
Julian's had this haircut at least since Boombox!
Deksy, The Nugget minus the blond streak
Damn, his range is amazing now. Love the vocals 🖤
this performance is one of my favorites, everything is so perfect. julian’s voice sounds incredibly good. i hope more people will appreciate the voidz as a band and the members individually. all the love!
I've never heard of the Voidz so when it started my first thought was "this is the biggest ripoff of Strokes Ive ever heard".....and then I realized it was Julian singing....
EverydayJayday lol that reminds me of a time when my friend was playing music from Comedown Machine. I never listened to all of the songs because all of the songs I tried listening to were garbage. All I could think was "this sounds like an untalented band trying to imitate an early strokes song." Turns out it was actually them lmao
Same here. 😂
They sound nothing like the strokes........
@@bobberry1463 this song has many strokes-esque elements
@@elijahboykins2037 nah I'm not feeling it. It does kinda remind me of comedown machine ablum but sounds nothing like the other album
Julian is of the greatest of our time❤
holy fuck they sound so good
I get it. Julian's tryna kill us in 2018. This songs amazing plus he looks and sounds amazing 😭💇🙃🖤
How is he 40 this year??
Julian sounds so good.
I love his sense of fashion!!!
1:54 gave me chills...sounded like Jimmy Morrison momentarily.
Love this song
Damn I think he can sing Oblivius live now
exactly what I thought
Yess
My boy been practicing
Leo Xavier only for voidz lol
I would die for a live performance of TAP OUT (from Comedown Machine)
They are so good
He's just sooo gorgeous 😍
This certainly grew on me. Freaking roadtripped through the Appalachians with this album, and when I listen to it now, I feel this chill in the back of my head.
They nailed this so much that I forgot it was a live performance and thought it was the music video
Such a tight performance! What a great opening track for one of the best albums 🤗 Nice seeing Jules in his Mobil shirt too 😏
i'm glad they're playing in these type of talk shows, they deserve the recognition
Take it or leave it in my dreams
3:11 the way he said "waste my time with youuuu" was fucking perfect
2019 and still blasting away! Come to Canada and i'll give a joint, straight atta the James Bay Ontario.
This is such a fantastic performance from Julian 😩 He was on his A game that night
I love The Voidz sound, very unique in a land of copycat musicians.
Daniel Seaton I agree they stole the growlers sounds and mixed it with the strokes sound.
Plus the Voidz is galaxies away from the growlers dude, they sound so different
i think this song sound a little bit like the growlers maybe Joshue have a point
Katzen König i dont see.People are ripping off the Strokes still to this day.Julian is a originater.
Alberto Vazquez Moreno I can't hear it myself. But ppl hear music differently.
when you're 12 and your mom is forcing you to buy nice clothes but you wanted something from hot topic 3:27 and its also 2006
zer0 95 HAHAAHAHA, relatable
Best strokes song in years
Dat Cake 😂
That's my man right there. Love ya Jules
I love the energy Alex puts in on the drums. 🥁
Qué tema, muy buena interpretación y voz de julian❤
I love this song too much
2:51 sooo cool
Thanks julian for not stopping. Thank you so much. I won't stop either yo.
This is so good. His voice is still better than ever!
Is it unhealthy that I’ve watched this 47 times in a row?
Yes
No
I love this. Julian can do no wrong.
This is superb.
I hope Julian knows how much his fans love him and appreciate his work.
I'm loving this song
Julian is a true legend
Missed them!! And missed Julian’s voice! A king 💕
holy shit they sound so GOOD!!! March 30th still such a long time though :(
Look on the bright side, once the album is here, we can all enjoy it for the rest of our lives.
annaheybelle lol hey it's the 30th
How was it
And look 3 years have passed just like that
i love all julian's stuff
best vocal performance ever
julian cantando bien, increíble
3:15 ADORO ESSA PARTE
My love for this band and JC is infinite.
This is the only thing on my recommended that matters I'm so in love with Julian
Amazing song
I gotta disagree with anyone saying this could be a "Strokes" song. This has Voidz signature all over. The management of two guitars with heavy guitar effects, the percussion lines, and the synths are more intricate than Stroke's songs. With that being said, the first two minutes of this song are reminiscent of the 80's a la The Cars and it's just awesome. Can't wait for the new record.
Only Strokes fans would notice it
Very intricate response there Veronica G.
Homer Simpson I have to disagree. I think this is very reminiscent to the strokes. More like something that would've come out on comedown machine or on angles. Although yes I think the synth gives it the voidz sound. The distortions on the guitar aren't very different from some the strokes have used in the past. I'm not saying it sounds exactly like a strokes song but they definitely could be compared.
i gotta agree veronica. this song is a mix of some of strokes' songs
try Clear Skies. and perhaps other B sides
This song is just ..... omfg, any song this guy makes is just gold, cant stop listening to it, It's repeating in my head over and over again, Julian --> 21th century's Mozart. A genius...no question. At 3:31 even Jake (the bass player) is shaking his head like: "Daaamn Julian... we are SOO FUCKING GOOD." it's like he cant even believe it.
Your a fucking idiot the bass player is shaking his head to keep tempo you retard
Julian sounded amazing!!! They all did!!! Great job guys!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Dude this is the best I've heard his voice live in ages. Great job Jules
Jimmy Fallon's enthusiasm is greatly appreciated.
I'm addicted to this song!
2:34 the guy in the beanie xD
Magnifique voix ,et mélodie 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
Live Vocal Production has come a long way. You can do all sorts of software processing with low enough latency to make it live. It's also possible to tune on the fly (live), and it doesn't have to be perfect, can just be a soft correct. However, I don't think there was any tuning here, just lots of processing to make it sound present, compressed, and distorted. In this day of age you can pretty much match whats done on a record, and do it live. I can even do it with my laptop, and I'm just an amateur.
All that to say that I think Julian's vocals were live and his performance was great, I think he's really honed his craft and achieved great control over this voice. It's never been better, Kudos!
Such a great performance
