- The new Audi RS3 is just around the corner. A few months away. We took the current 2019 Audi RS3 Sedan for a shoot. And it’s in gorgeous Nardo grey, and with carbon fiber optics. The pocket rocket. I don't see the RS3 very often on the road, but I get very excited when I do.
The reason they're so rare is the very reason that makes them so good at track days - the size. They're just too small for everyday driving, unless you're driving city only. The S4/RS4 is far better as a daily driver, which then brings us to the second reason: if you want a trackday or simply sunday drive car that is small, agile, awd, has a 2.5L turbo inline 5 engine and is basically a 2-seater, why not have a TT RS then. Yes, it's a bit more expensive, but it brings a whole lot more sportiness than the RS3.
I don't see many RS model Audis in LA either surprisingly. I see a lot more ///Ms and AMGs

@@idokwatcher2062 updated haldex more of a rwd than fwd. If you want the fwd it's the older one (367 hp) and when you compare it to an same awd generation. The a45 doesn't even have a chance agaisnt the rs3.
@Fish Yeah if you love straight line speed. But if you wanted a weekend canyon cruiser for the soul this isn't it, also understeer in these audi's is legendary.

My favorite Audi. This is one has been modified tastefully. I have those paddle shifter extensions on my S3. They make a huge difference on tracks even if they look a little extra. :)

I looked them up and they are impressive. The steering wheels are well bolstered and maintain all the factory niceties. And ofc the carbon fiber paddle shifters look great and are one piece 👍

Still prefer the fast back, over the sedan. These are going to be cult cars in the future and deservingly so. Absolute beast that 5 cylinder is perfect.

I agree. To better this car you have to triple the dollars, and realistically you wont use or need the extra performance.
It's front wheel drive and automatic. If you truly love drivinig is rear wheel drive manual not better? Is it not for the soul?

@@idokwatcher2062 .... I'm well aware of the Haldex system. I know, under normal driving circumstances, that 95% of the power is put through the front wheels, but when needed power can be directed to the other wheels, so irrespective of your prejudices it's still a four-wheel drive system.

@@quattrohead6543 Not really I’ve seen the new pictures and it looks just as toned down as the new 4 and 5 series. lots of swoops and curves and slopes. Just look at the new golf compared to the last one and you'll get the idea

I will miss the last of the 8V generation, truly bulletproof and quality cars, love the interior as well. Newer models look more like spaceships/EV cars inside.

Stunning...you rely dont need more than this. To better this car in performance you have to triple the price to gene speed and luxury that you will rarely use or need. I cant think of a woman i would take over this car.

Sicks RS3. That rear diffuser has pretty bad fitment. I would of been pissed if i got that and seen that. I'm sure it wasn't cheap! Regardless the car is still amazing. I'm still trying to figure out if i want an rs3, or a ttrs.
Absolutely stunning!!! I`m about to buy a used A3, choice has basically come down to a sportback with 57k km and a limo with 68k km, but with quattro, the rest of the spec is basically the same and the price too, so unsure which one I should take😱

@@dajbucha I do think the limo looks better and more unique, and just the additional length gives it a lot more elegance. However, and I might sound stupid with that, the point speaking against the limo for me here is actually the quattro. I am hoping to keep this car for the next 10 years or so if things go well, so I am looking to invest in something reliable, and while the A3 overall and specifically the 2.0 TDI that these both have fulfills that purpose, I have read about a lot of people having issues with the A3s haldex quattro, even after a lot less km`s than the 68k of this one, and thats a huge financial risk to me.

Carbon rear diffuser is very bad build quality. But the rs3 is still a beaut by any standards
