I didn't catch what the smaller ambulance vehicle was marked with, but I would expect it to be a Paramedic - an emergency response medic in a light van, car or motorcycle, who provides first aid from his supplies while the larger ambulances are enroute - the Ambulance has additional paramedics, more equipment and tools, as well as the capability to evacuate and transport the casualty.
Fire engines and appliances are only required where there may be access or fire issues - such as building fires and RTA, when the casualties are accessible and there is no further risk to others from fire then the Ambulance (and where appropriate Police) will attend. It isn't normal to use the biggest fire truck possible to provide first responder attendance.
18:00 The emergency number is 112 in all of Sweden and most of Europe. The number on the back of the ambulance is the vehicle number & radio callsign of the vehicle, which follows a standardized system for all Swedish emergency vehicles
The first digit is the type of vehicle, the two digits after that suggests which area the vehicle belongs to, the rest of the digits is the number of the vehicle itself
For example 1 31-9130 is a police car (1) from Stockholm City (31) with the number 9130, and in this case 3 22-9150 is an ambulance (3) from Värmland county (22) with the number 9150
Emergency number in Sweden is 112 all over the country. But the thing is you can still call 911 113 etc and you will the redirected to the nearest emergency call center. So let’s say that you come to visit Sweden and for some reason you need a Ambulance you call 911 as a habit then you will be connected to the Swedish emergency call center because you are in Sweden
Swedens' emergency phone number is 112, and there are several others for non-emergency. 112 is the emergency number for most of Europe, so depending on where you call you will be connected with that country/region's emergency service.
Sweden also has:
113 13 for national information about larger accidents and crises.
114 14 for non-emergency police business, like reporting crimes that are not ongoing or urgent.
1177 for non-emergency medical advice care and/or information.
116000 for reporting missing children. This number is for the whole EU region.
You can either go by train from Copenhagen. Dont know how much it costs but maybe 120-150. Takes like ten minutes. There are no ferries between Copenhagen and Malmo anymore since the bridge was built. The bridge, i believe, is the longest bridge/tunnel between two cities of different countries. But there are ferries between the danish town of Elsinore, where You can see the castle Kronborg mentioned in "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare. The ferrie takes 20 minutes and it is the closest path between Sweden and Denmark, a little over 3000 metres avcross the strait Oresund. The prices goes as low as 67 SEK one way but depends on departure. .They are among the biggest electric driven ferries in the world. Also, the Oresund strait is said to be the busiest strait in the world. Things
2:36 PAM = Prehospital emergency psychiatric unit
3:29 It's a mild winter, not that slippery just wet (and everyone have winter tires which is required by law)
4:59 that's the fire dept. sergant
9:46 It just tells what region they belong to "Räddningstjänst" is the fire dept. and "Dala Mitt" is the region(Dala = Dalarna)
14:19 "Akutläkare" is an Emergency Doctor, so It's a doctor driving that.
17:17 it's the Fire dept. incident commander
18:04 it's the unit number. The 3 stands for ambulance, the 22 is region and the rest is the unit number
19:00 That's the Swedish Secret Service (SÄPO). If you pause at 19:01 or 19:02 you can see the bullet proof armoured windows.
Hey Dar,
I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I appreciate your kind and laid-back style. I'm really interested in learning about other countries, their cultures, their modes of transportation, their small towns, and more. I love your relaxed attitude and your genuine interest in the world around you.
I hope your channel gets more exposure and more followers, because you deserve it. You're one of those people who is just easy to like. Keep uploading videos, and I hope you have a great time when you visit our country.
Best regards,
Kenneth, Sundsvall, Sweden
12:15 that was the danish police helping with crowd and riot control during a soccer match in Stockholm
No that was the Norwegian Police
@@flix5339 oh I see
Copenhagen Firedepartment had a lot of clips here on UA-cam
Yeah, not 9 days ago. No snow but no leaves on the trees either. Vägassistans = road asistance
PAM-ENHET = physical help unit kind off
17:21 Says "Insatsledare" which is the one in charge of an emergency site. He's got quite the authority and can order anyone around at a scene... and i mean *everyone*.
5:40 "Sjukvårdstransport" well... some kind of medicarrier. Transports emergency equipment like fresh blood, live organs, medicine etc. They turn up anywhere in the region in maximum 12 minutes. They are managed by a private firm called Best Transport.
18:27 The numbers in the style XXZ-XXXX are on every emergency vehicle, ambulans, police or whatever and us the call-sign unique to each unit in the nationwide RAKEL digital radio system.
112 is the emergency number all over Sweden, replacing the old 90000.
Ithink it's mostly Stockholm that paint the phone number 112 on the back door of ambulances.
There isn’t any number on the side of the vehicles, because everyone know what number to call. It’s 112 if it is an emergency. We learn this from a young age.
Although if it isn’t an emergency you can call other numbers. 113 for ambulance and 114 14 for the Police.
Also you don’t have to take the boat over to Sweden from Copenhagen. We have a bridge, Öresundsbron, that goes between Copenhagen and Malmö. So just hop on a train and it will take over the bridge. 😊
15:45 Behind the MP car is a car marked "Skyddsvakt". Skyddsvakt guards important facilities from terrorists... You also see them in ports and airports where they can act a bit like TSA.
Note that the MP car have military plates abd not the normal Swedish civilian plates.
04:50 Was "Vägassistans" or "Road assistance". The big rectangle on the back of the truck is a crash pillow.
Copenhagen(SAS) and Helsinki(Finnair) is the two major hubs for air travel in Scandinavia which is why prices are lower for Copenhagen compared to Stockholm
Malmø(third largest city in Sweden) is just 15-25 minutes by train from Copenhagen Airport and like 15 minutes more you are at the central station in Copenhagen
14:45 "Räddningstjänsten Skaraborg" is the emergency services (literally Räddning =""
saving" tjänst = "service") from the southern Sweden and the former county of Skaraborg. Even though the County merged into the larger West Goth Region in 1998, some services operates or are named after the former, like the emergency services and the court system.
22:04 Was an ambulance from Falck Ambulans, a quite large company in the Nordics. They also have road service and tow trucks.
16:45 When you honk the horn it changes to a different tone and after like 10 seconds it switches back automatically. But you could also honk it again and it will go back to the “original” tone
you can take the train from copgenhagen airport too sweden
2:23 A PAM-enhet is Psychiatric ambulance. :)
Cheaper to go to copenhagen, that's right denmark represent :D
15:33 "Dalarna" is a region North of Stockholm where the red Dalahorses comes from.
you never heard of april väder in sweden for example the first of april was sunny and nice but 5th of april was cold and snow storm
21:10 Looks to be a "Läkarbil" or physician.
If you go to Stockholm just hook me up and i can show you around if you want to see some 🚒🚑🚓 👌
What do you want to see while visiting Sweden/denmark? What are your intrest of seeing while traveling?
There’s a lot of different things I want to see! Definitely gonna try to have a plan or just see when I get there
@@darthetraveler Well let me know if you want tips to dont miss out.

12:12
What is the danish doing in sweden?
And i tink that the 3 vans where riot control
12:15 Wasn't Swedish. Looked like Finland.😊
Edit: @Endurer92 correctly identified them as Norwegian.
Norwegian plates on it and it looks like a riot unit
Norway, Sweden and Denmark borrow units from each other at times both vehicles and personnel(Have seen it a couple of times)
@@Endurer92 Thank you! I was a bit confused because we have "Politi" in Sweden, but around here it's the Cadaver Car.
That’s the Norwegian politi/police swat unit
@@maltesrc Yeah, we know.
The black police car was Danish. You have to have a special driving license to drive at high speed. IN The black police car was Danish. You have to have a special driving license to drive at high speed. It doesn't matter if you are a police officer or another blue-light vehicle. But I think all police officers get educated on it! The red vans are task leaders when called out. The phone number for everyone is 112.
Not a Danish police car it was Norwegian if you look at the number plate no space between second and third number which is required on a Danish plate and not on a Norwegian
Blus it's swedish police. The whole video is about Swedish police what are you talking about
@@IbrahimIbrahim-wk1ch Look at the numberplate it's Norwegian but this is not uncommon as Denmark, Norway and Sweden borrows units from each other if needed
Swedish numberplates are 3 letters 3 numbers, Norwegian 2 letters 5 numbers no space between 2nd and 3rd number and Danish 2 letters 5 numbers with space between 2nd and 3rd number
@@Endurer92 Blud I told you the whole video is about Swedish police there is no police from another country. And the siren who the black volvo use is the new Swedish police siren. So check the information before you saying something
