We took this video to show you how to remove the Rear Bumper Cover on a BMW X3 E83 in case that you need to replace it or install a Hitch Receiver on your car. You will not even need to remove the rear tires but if you want more room you might do that. Once you know what you are doing it should take you about 5 Minutes. It will be the same procedure for 2004 BMW X3 AND 2005 BMW X3. From 2006 - 2010 you will have 4 BOLTS on under the plastic cover that is on top of the bumper. In this case you will need to remove the whole cover not just the corner pieces.
Other than that it is the same for all Models BMW x3:

Very useful video when removing the rear bumper on a 2007 X3. There are slight variances between the years, but locations of hardware is nearly identical. The main difference is that the 07 X3 has a single continues plastic sill trim piece where the video shows 2 separate ones next to the tail lights. This trim piece covers 5 T25 fasteners that need to be removed in order to remove the bumper.

I tried this method and the tabs bend or break that is why you hear snapping. Upon closer inspection the bumper is designed to slide straight back after all fasteners and wiring connection is removed.. The black clips that are attached to the vehicle are curved to depress as the bumper is slid back.
Mate, can you make a video for "engine timing chain" replacement for the X3 E83. This major problem occurring to many X3"s owner & haven't seen any video yet for this particular model. Really appreciated your help. THANKS!

got the same suv havent had any timing chain probs so far. at what mileage yours started giving you problems? usualy timing chains dont need replacement unlike belts which need to be replaced at around 120K miles.

I know this has nothing to do with bumper but what would make all my windows and trunk not work any after alternator went out I replace alternator but it still didn't fix my electrical window and trunk problem my son was still opens I checked all the fuses and they're all good and from my understanding if it was the footwell module the lights wouldn't work either?
Great video guys! Just as close to exactly what I want to know before removing my rear bumper. I wandered what's the difference with the M SPORT rear bumper for my BMW X3 E83?.
Arnel Angeles the only difference will be the bolts right under the trunk lid.

Well, for the e83 ther are seven screws to remove the entire glove box. I'm not sure how relevant that is.

Videos 4 dummy's lmao I don't know if it was your video for someone else's but I did a water pump on e83 by following the videos instructions these are awesome and helpful one word of advice would be to wish the tools needed to finish the job it would also be helpful
