  • (More speeds below.) These are the most common 100 words in English. For each word, try to head-copy it. First, the word is sent three times in Morse code. Then it is spoken. And finally, it is sent again in Morse code. If you missed it the first time it, the second time allows you an opportunity to learn the word.
    With 3x repeats:

    This format is very helpful…my favorite so far. Good speed, and the repetition gives me time to get what I missed and also reinforces my recognition. Also nice to have the whole list repeat 3 times.

      Understandable, Rae. The spacing between words is the standard spacing at 20wpm. It gets easier with practice! I wish you all the best on your Morse code journey! 73 de AD0WE dit dit

    I like that you #1 say the word and then #2 let me hear the letters for that word. Great! Can you make a video with step #2 repeated after saying the word? I am trying to memorize the whole sound of common words on a slow speed.

      Greetings Miss Ella. I'm glad that you find the Morse code Ninja practice content helpful. For clarity, are you wanting a practice set with the word spoken and then repeated in Morse code? No Morse code before the spoken word?

      @@KurtZoglmann HI Kurt. Yes, I think you understand. It would be great if the most common ENG words were first spoken with the morse code 3 times after. Then, onto the next word. So, when I hear the morse code multiple times, I know which word that sound is, and I can try to memorize it by the repeated sound.

    Please make captions for this video. Some words are not legible. Do you know how long it took me to understand "All" when it sounds like "O"?

    • @KurtZoglmann
      @KurtZoglmann  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the feedback, Ron. I'm sorry you had difficulty with the word ALL. In principle, that is a good idea, and I have the text for the entire video. But it would be excessively time-consuming to provide closed captioning because of how UA-cam requires time-based transcription.
      I use Amazon's AWS Polly for the life-like text to speech conversion. Since I created this video, AWS has innovated and created a "neural engine" that is easier to understand. I have created all subsequent videos with this newer technology. I could perhaps create another / replacement version of the Top 100 Words.
      You can sample it in this video, which is also at 20wpm -- ua-cam.com/video/myQIom8pOpE/v-deo.html .
      I wish you all the best on your Morse code journey!

      @@KurtZoglmann Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback. The "All" was only one of such words. I do not want to put you through the trouble of needing to recreate a video, if all future videos have that newer advancement I'll just keep an eye out for them instead. Thank you so much and 73!
