The thing about XG is that you can see the real talents of the members and their passion with their work. They also compliments each others talents. The rap, vocals and dance are all on another level and its refreshing cuz they have something in them that u dont usally see in other groups.

I FUCKING love rap line so much, you can see their styles represented in this song. Juria and Maya bouncing off each other, Harvey is more hype and charismatic, cocona is gonna hit hard they are like the perfect rap line me thinks
Id stil call them a kpop group, they do stages on Mnet and Musicore n everything. What makes them different I think is just how they carry themselves, theyre so cool with the maxed out swagger. Millions of groups have the "badass" concept but its not a concept for them its just them. Imo at least.
They themselves say they are an international group not kpop
THEYRE NOT KPOP THEY ARE BEYOND KPOP, THEY JUST PROMOTE IN KOREAN MARKET BECAUSE THATS WHERE MOST POPULAR GROUPS IN MAINSTREAM MUSIC ARE COMING IN NOW
If they call themselves J-pop while promoting in Korea they might get a lot of hate, if they call themselves K-pop while only have Japanese members and only sing in English they might even get a lot more hate. yeah they still hated by some for calling themselves a global group and X-POP but I think it is less damaging than calling themselves either J-Pop or K-pop.
