British Skin Foundation and ITN Productions Industry News launch a bespoke co-production to raise awareness and understanding of the different types of skin disease, the mental and physical scars to patients and the importance of research into the advancements of new treatments and cures.
Covid has had a significant impact on the NHS and in the first 6 months of last year, fewer skin cancer patients were assessed. There are now concerns that there may be many thousands of undiagnosed skin cancers as a result. In collaboration with the NHS, Skin Analytics is using Artificial Intelligence to assist clinicians deal with the backlog of patients. ITN Productions reporter Sue Saville finds out more.
