Pat, I've been watching your videos for a couple years now and I just want to say thank you. Ever since I was young, I remember going to the local toy shops and doing loads of chores so I could buy X and Y or sun and moon packs. Even if I got nothing, the feeling of opening those packs is something unbeatable, the feeling of making friends and trading in the playground at school... that was my childhood. But then, I... stopped. Years went by and I grew up. One day, I saw one of your videos while scrolling and I remembered those feelings and memories. Soon, I was back. If it wasn't for your videos, Pat, I would never have reached the point my collection is at today. YOU REMINDED ME WHAT WAS IMPORTANT IN LIFE! Making friends and unforgettable memories. Thank you.

Incredible. We're past the 'opening' era, and into a time where this type of content is so fulfilling and great to see. It's so nice to see so many generations of cards and people come together for this.
Yes Pat, I'm absolutely loving this series. I'm currently on a Pokédex journey of my own and I really love seeing all the different types of cards from all different eras next to each other in the binder!!! Looking forward to seeing you continue to bring the community together over this incredible collection goal 🙌🏻
i love seeing kids there with their parents, they’re passing the love and nostalgia of the game on to the next generation and i think that is so amazing
Hi Pat, I'm a relatively new viewer here, and I absolutely love the energy and enthusiasm you bring to all of your videos. I, like so many others, grew up addicted to Pokémon, but grew out of it with age. Watching your videos has really gotten me back into it, and I'm having so much fun opening packs and trying to complete the 151 set. I think it's important for people to reconnect with things that they liked as a kid, because they have such an impact on our lives. It's been a hard couple of years, but the joy of collecting Pokémon cards makes me feel like a kid again, and all of the real world stress fades away. Thank you sir! :)
DMP, I have a challenge for you that I REALLY think you would have fun with! You have a certain time limit (you can decide) and you have to get ALL THE PROMOS EVER! Through training, vendors opening and opening products. Good luck!
This video series is honestly making me want to make a collection of every pokemon in card form. All forms included as well. Megas, regional forms etc. Course I'll need a lot of binders since I don't have chad haha
Absolutely Loving this Challenge !!! Doing it on a Trade night was a MasterStroke !!! The Memories u guys created that day will be smth these ppl will be talking for the rest of their lives
Man I remember Gonzo wearing that sweater in a livestream and its hilarious to look at. Congratulations on completing this stage of the challenge and best of luck going forward!
I literally just came across a video (thank you YT algo) for when you and Unlisted did a challenge here at a Hawaii card expo. Long story short - I'm here for this gigachad challenge!

Why do I always end up in happy tears, whether you complete the sets or not? I love seeing the community spirit so much, along with all the fun artwork. I wish our local stores concentrated on Pokemon as much as they do with MTG. One store has a handful of singles and never any Japanese cards. I would die for a local place like this store or events where people can buy/trade cards!
Whats more amazing than the collection of the cards but the commraderie and general helpfulness of the community of the people that he was surrounded by. I'm amazed it, its not something i have experienced in life and its amazing to see.
@@deeppocketmonster Thanks! Keep up the collecting, Pat! I wish you catch them all and I wish you don't get the "1 card left but I can't find it and there's little time left so I'm gonna lose" cliche! Good luck!
videos like this a so wholesome, watching the community band together to help complete the set... makes dark days not feel so dark. much love from an older pokenerd
Just to show you how baller the Pokemon community is... my Pokemon mentor built an entire deck for me. 60 full cards. All I traded to him was a Full art Articuno. Thats it. Ian.. if you see this ever. Thanks for your generosity!
This was so awesome!!! I have been waiting a little while for this to come out and was so happy to see it drop today. Honestly Pat, this made my day! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of this amazing journey you have started! Here’s to gen 3, hopefully soon!
Inspired me to make my own Pokédex binder and I’m having so much fun with it! Thank you and keep up the great content. Can’t wait for the next Pokédex binder video!
Can't say how big of a fan I am of you and your channel. My favourite thing about you is how you interact with children. Love you tons man. And I wish you all the success in your challenge. I hope to attend a card party one day. Keep up the amazing work.
I’m a 31 year old dude from Australia , played with Pokémon cards early primary. The last real game I got into was Pokémon emerald. Yugioh then came along and I had all but forgotten Pokémon until around the age of twenty when I started to dabble in some of the newer games. I collect dbs masters cards and mtg, however Pokémon still kinda irked me with modern games (more of a PlayStation guy over Nintendo) but recently I traded my switch in and gave up on Nintendo games (outside Nintendo do generation and down) anyway, ever since giving up on the modern games my love for Pokémon has actually grown. As a kid it wasn’t the games that had me hooked, the anime was cool but that wasn’t the be all and end all, to me the best thing about Pokémon was the cards and the art on said cards. They made the Pokémon world feel more real, they made Pokémon feel like it was a world for adults as well as kids, it gave me a sense of wonder and adventure. I always held onto that as I traveled around. Pokémon go has been a constant companion lately while I’ve been jogging daily (I have a bad non alcoholic fatty liver despite being slim) so I’m doing everything I can to become healthier and Pokémon is fuelling that sense of wonder and adventure once more. Watching your videos has actually sparked so much joy in my heart and I’ve just ordered three Japanese booster boxes and I’m going to get into collecting Pokémon cards once more. I’m not aiming for vintage or anything, I’m not going in to complete sets, I’m just going to buy random packs and random cards that make me feel some kind of way. It’ll be sporadic, but I’m excited for this journey, and now that my first child is finally earthside I am hoping it is a journey we can undertake together when he is older. My current frame of mind is Pokémon go, Pokémon cards, maybe some of the anime and definitely the movies as my focus. The whole Pokémon universe feels chaotic these days, but watching this video and the community from young to old really brings in that special beauty that made Pokémon so special back then. Sorry if I am now ranting, I am just really happy and excited and I feel like my life has gained an extra feeling of joy and purpose.
Wobbafett being the last card he needs reminds me a LOT of that one episode of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends where Bloo was getting into collecting cards of everyone and almost complete his collection, until the very last card he needed that no one had was ironically the most common one that no one had anymore, a card of himself, who funnily enough ooks like Wobbafett too 😆
Missed opportunity to chase each Gen by their sets. Gen 1 should consist only consist of Base, Fossil and Jungle. Gen 2 should only include Neo and so forth. Also you should make the binder look like a Pokédex.
@@IanwithIanI mean you know what I mean. There are cards that aren’t in the sets but as promos which is fine. As long as they stick to the original promos from the sets.
Love this Pat need to get the forklift in 😁😁😁 I love this community everyone helps each other & great to see the legends pidgey Boyz pop in & help along with BEYS & the other legends.😁 & of course the Ian with Ian appearance & the gonzo man 😆😁👍 & wow EMAN that jacket pops all the legends just awesome 🥰👍 much love from UK 🇬🇧

One thing that kinda sucks is that the binder “only”holds 1024 cards, and after the dlc there are 1025 Pokémon…
You just gotta have a Latios + Latias tag team card or something to lower the total card count by one
@@jakko_he stuck a sleeve on the back for pecharunt (even tho there wasnt even a card for it at that time)

Pat I was wondering where do you go I’ve really been wanting to go to areas to trade with other people and hope to see you
