@EmailBacon the build that you introduced in this video is the same exact one that black ice came up with and I tried it I wanted it to work I wanted to believe that it was working but it just didn't fit my playstyle. The best build that I've been using is a stand-up build 6 ft 5 in tall 188 lb. With gold No timer, instincts and light work. It's been my favorite build by far in NHL 24 nothing even comes close for me.
I remember early on we were using a butterfly build. Im curious to know if you still using the stand up and it doesn't look like it took you long to go back to a stand up play style
@@EmailBacon I know that but are you seeing better results. I think this is a problem is everyone says play style but if were depending on animations is playstyle really a thing? Sorry just curious on your thoughts
Rebound control is overlooked. It's a critical stat. People only focus on the 1 time out of 10 the puck drops right in front of you and not the 9 times before that the puck was redirected safely away. You save 100% of the shots that they aren't able to take.
Standups never have good rebound control. On a butterfly, you can put it up, but on a standup, the rebounds will be bad no matter how high the stat is. It’s just a part of their dna to have bad rebound control
@@EmailBacon I was saying in general the rebound control stat is critical especially in 6s play when there's always traffic and secondary scoring opportunities. Stand up generally is the worst build choice. There hasn't been a stand up goalie in the NHL in over 30 years.
So does this apply to players or just goalies, cuz i have my passing around 85 for all my loadouts and I don't see any difference between my Playmaker with -3 on passing (cost 20) and Power Forward with +5 on passing (cost 30) also on the Power Forward the Def Awareness is 78 ovr with a cost of 40 so going by your video it'd mean his Def Awareness is excellent
I truthfully don’t know. I don’t play skater enough. But check out Blackice2020 channel on yt and find his discord. He has videos in discord that explain a lot better. Also, he will be posting a video soon on goalie builds
Hey bacon quick question, I use a butterfly build at 6'5 188 and the rebounding is terrible on it and blocker side or even glove side saves still go in. I have my rebounding pretty high so I don't know what else to do, any idea?
Older video but your theory on attributes isn’t true at all. The cost requirement goes up the more you increase it on any build. Different archetypes have different base stats….meaning five hole will cost more for standup than butterfly but the attributes are much different. By your theory that means an 86 five hole is the same as a 92 on 2 different builds. That’s not how it works.
Also speed doesn’t effect getting up from a save…..that’s recovery. And agility is super important….it’s how fast you can change directions moving left and right. It’s basically a faster response time while moving.
Lower your speed, up your agility. Looking at your vids you move around way too fast in your crease. By lowering your speed and upping your agility will help you stay center in your net but still able to get those fast movements when needed.
Your description of how the attributes work is super helpful! Thank you!

Do you use the instinct system? Do you use tethering?
It’s not the exact same, but I posted the builds mostly to show how the attributes work. You can change them up however you want
@@tommykindle9774 No, I dont
Do you have the stand up build if you don’t mind I like to test yours out. Lmk
@@EmailBaconinstincts does nothing if you don’t use instincts lol
Awesome video! Do you like to mantually butterfly or do you just move with the left stick?
I try not to go down that in butterfly
i'm only about level 20. any idea on what perks i should run on a butterfly build?
Whatever you can do. But the attributes are important too

@@johnathonhastin6878 I think the standup is better, truthfully. I have had better results with standup

Look at the video I linked in my reply. Focus on the difference between how the pucks are redirected down and away below the red line or up away
In the video 1-9 out of 10 were bad rebounds secondary opportunities. With RBC 8 of 10 resulted in no secondary shot opportunity

Turn up the angles attribute. Ik it sounds strange, but for some reason, that reduces trickle in bounce in goals and it may help with rebounds.
Great content
Hey I play on Xbox and I play chel can we play?
Do you not use hybrid?
Not really. Nothing wrong with the hybrid, it’s just a very basic build with no huge advantages
