I was waiting for NHL 24 so much and wanted to try the new control, but when I saw that ea was cut out of the game "precision modifier" and animation for it, I was really upset. They just slowed down the game for the goalkeeper. It binds hands. For now, I’ll stay in nhl 22 until better times.
Hi there I've watched your videos quite abit and having a hard time stopping stops consistently. You say do one pushes what happens when I'm out of postion for a goal do I have to hold to where every they go? Can you do a video about butterfly ?
If your out of position, it’s good to try to get back in position fast. How to do that depends on how far out of position you are. If I’m only a push out of position, just do a push to get back in. But if I’m in the other side of the net, I may butterfly slide or right stick slide to get back, because there is little time to react. I’ll make a video on butterfly movements
@EmailBacon thanks also if you could do one with more about depth a video with like depth I think would help me out. I see challenge seems to be one push from center?
How do you make a glove saver how do you make a save down low does the goalie just do it on its own if you're in the way of the puck? Because I'll be standing in front of the shooter have everything covered but then he'll shoot it and it'll go right in under my arm or something but there's no button that would have made a save for that ... Lately I just found if I hold l2 pretty much the whole time and direct the purple color towards where I think he's going to shoot it usually saves it but not always . So I'm always holding L2 . Is this ok or no
Am I supposed to be using left bumper (LT, or L2) at all? I have no idea what that does? Or am I just standing normally? When do you go into butterfly? Hope that makes sense
Rt is what we call the butterfly stance. I go down when they are striding behind the net on their backhand and when I need to slide for a cross crease.
@@EmailBacon ahhh ok I thought the R2/RT was butterfly? When I hold L2 I just see a little bubble around my player and it allows me to move my right stick and it fills up a box? Idk if that makes sense over messages lol
@@mattp8287 it depends on your control settings. Rt for default controls. LT for alternate controls. The bubble you see is the anticipation indicator. When you hold that down and hold a direction with right stick, it anticipates where a shot will go
@@EmailBacon thank you! From the video it looks like you’re only using the left stick to move, not using the anticipation indicator at all. Should I just be moving my left stick slightly for the most part and only using butterfly to slide for cross crease/behind the nets? In your video and a lot of other people say they don’t like to touch the right stick at all unless they’re totally out of position is that correct?

I wouldn’t recommend holding LT anticipation to the top left or right, because if you’re wrong, the game punishes you

Im having trouble with cross crease passes this year anything i can do to stop them?
Go into butterfly as you move to the other side of the crease. You will move faster. Takes some practice to not slide too far or not far enough.
do you know why the goalie always go back to the middle of the net
@@imjealousofme2 you have tether controls on. If you want it off Go to settings > controller settings > near the bottom, turn off tether
