The benchmark software is automatically assuming your monitors resolution. It may look like it’s being run in windowed mode, but in reality it’s testing it at its native resolution.
The OC cards never overclock very well because they are already factory overclocked. You typically get a lot more overhead from a standard card then an OC card. However, the OC cards start out at a higher clock so ultimately you do get the benefit of a better bined GPU. So the final clock speed of the OC card will likely be a little higher even though the overclock is a little lower. If that makes any sense.

@@micky-oe5ic Maybe a little. When you're overclocking you're relying on the silicone lottery. Manufacturers set the default clock to the highest clock they can get across all quality of cores they have. If 10% of them fail to run at a certain clock speed then they will find a clock that works on those and that will be the default clock for all of them. When you overclock You're simply hoping that your specific core doesn't fall into that lower bin that will not overclock as far. When you're dealing with a factory overclocked GPU that ceiling for the max overclock becomes much lower because you're starting out higher than the non factory overclocked GPU. It's like trying to get higher when you're already standing on a step ladder, if that makes any sense.

It's kinda scary for me to start tempering with voltages and overclocking in general (I'm a newcomer to the master race lmao).
Well, the GPU will not allow you to raise the voltage higher than the factory voltage. In reality it's very hard to cause damage to a GPU by overclocking it. You may shorten its life to a certain degree but it's highly doubtful you will break it outright. At worst if you clock it too high the system will just blue screen. No big deal. Just restart and try again a little lower until it's stable.

This sounds intriguing. I’ve never overclocked anything before. Is this sort of technique for over-clocking perfectly safe for the GPU and all other computer components? It’s not going to fry the CPU or memory components I hope?
Well, overclocking means you are overworking the component for more power, so you could fry it. The best way to avoid that is to always a way to monitor your component. If you see the component is getting too hot, might be a good idea to give it some rest. OC is a great feature, just use it with care. Afterburner is a MUST to have, since it has great and accurate monitoring, so I highly recommend it.

doesn't the gpu fluctuations are just related by the graphic density it has to deliver in each moment ? polygon number and so on ? i'd like to get a 3060Ti but in the same budget my priority must be Vram since i need it for work... thanks for the video !
I have an msi rtx 3060 ventus 2x OC edition with the msi z690 pro A motherboard.
I can't seem to go beyond 100% power limit as the slider in msi afterburner is maxed out at 100%. I tried overclocking +150 on core clock and 1000 on memory clock but it crashes. Can you tell me how to fix the power thing, I even tried putting 110 manually but it doesn't go past 100.
Typically the OC cards are already factory overclocked and don't have much headroom. You typically get way better overclocks on the base versions.
@@CyberCPU so it means I can't overclock it further more?
@@CyberCPU I ended up undervolting it from 1.044V to 0.937V and now I am maintaining 2002 Clock speed (before it was 1920 I think) and did +700 to the memory speed.
So ended up getting more performance but much less heat.. temp came from 72 to 65. And still some power is left to use as its not reaching 100% (now its 90 to 92 max)
@micky wait I have the same gpu can I use this
I cant oc my rtx 3060 ventus 3x 12g oc by overclocking the mem clock...i can overclock the core clock up to 120mhz (Not more, warzone and other Games are Crashing at 130mhz) and my Games Work fine. As soon as i overclock my mem clock up to 10mhz my Games are crashing immediatly...i cant See any Performance Boost with this 120mhz CC either...
I have a 3060 msi gaming x. But when i change the CORE CLOCK value the gpu Mhz doesnt change a bit. Can anybody help?
Hi, which is the model of the case?
I did a video on it.
Here you go.

I run 200/1000 red dead 55fps then overclocked the ram which I forgot to do from 2133 to 3200 ran at 65-75 on ultra settings 1440 ryzen 3600 dlss off and render at 1200 looks beautiful with a little nvidia shading
hey man, i also have a r5 3600 with a rtx 4060, but im not getting enough fps as i should, like if u play fortnite, i only get like around 120-200 on performance, anything you did to make it perform good?
Check if dlss is enabled@@thecancellar9072
Hi there. I didn't know the stock performance gap was so big. Is it the case that the TI just has higher clocks?
No, the TI is a different core.
I'm at the opposite side 😅
I have an i7 12700F and an RTX 3060 (Windforce 12Gb OC Dual Fan in case it matters, I'm nor an expert).
But I've heard from a friend that the GPU might be holding back my CPU and it does lol
So how much of an improvement might I get? It's kinda scary for me to start tempering with voltages and overclocking in general (I'm a newcomer to the master race lmao).
Well, the GPU will not allow you to raise the voltage higher than the factory voltage.
In reality it's very hard to cause damage to a GPU by overclocking it. You may shorten its life to a certain degree but it's highly doubtful you will break it outright. At worst if you clock it too high the system will just blue screen.
No big deal. Just restart and try again a little lower until it's stable.
What green plasma plate do you have? Thanks
I like watching your videos, i would upgrade the CPU to Ryzen 7.
I'm thinking about it.
i have a 3060 ti xc and i play warzone and runs at 110-130 fps .... any tips?
Sounds like a decent frame rate. Not sure what your question is.
my question is what are my options to possibly boost my EVGA 3060 ti xc to Full potential? I'm just curious if I do have any options to get me up to the constant 150 fps mark. I see sudden drops to even 95 fps and this is WITH low graphic settings and I've done the control panel and power options.
@@Taqqy Frame rate isn't always consistent. I have some games I can't get much over 60fps with the 3060 and I have other games I can get over 200fps.
@@Taqqy your frames don’t have to be 150 all game bruh
@@jackkegzzvidz it stays consistent @ 125-160 now in warzone 2. all I have to do is upgrade my motherboard to a Asus tuf gaming from a Asus prime. & My cpu from a Ryzen 7 5700g to a 5800x 3d and I'm good to go 🤟
What does the memory clock OC helps with? Increases VRam speed?
What you use for benchmark ?
Mostly MSI afterburner for games.
@@CyberCPU I mean Video benchmark

My GPU mhz doesn’t increase when I add +200mhz but my memory does.
In cyber punk oc test bo ray tracing yeah these not much higher avg fps but .1% low increased by around 30% thats not to scoff at
Yeah, it's pretty good.
where do you get the over clock software?
How do you run heaven in a smaller screen to be able to adjust afterburner at the same time?
did the test with over clock / undervolt. i got 190 FPS on high / FHD.
so is it safe to oc vram +1000 for rtx 3060?
Yes. Mine has Samsung chips and overclocks to +1250...
My 3060 has a factory memory overclock of 15080mhz and ive had it stable up to 18000.
So Finally Mr Jason Momoa Started making youtube videos 😂
After OC what fan speed limit did you set it to?
I typically always leave my fans at 100% while overclocked to get the most consistent boost possible.
On a side note if you want to make sure your oc is computationally sound i suggest Folding@Home once you think its stable. If F@H chucks it out you're not stable.
Interesting idea. Typically I just play games and watch performance. It's funner. 🤣😂
mmy gtx 1070 broke
and i dont have the budget to get a rtx 3060ti or 3070

Can i just copy this settings for my 3060?
When ever someone says "overclocking" it makes me think of putting a nitrous engine upgrade on a pinto. The only time I ever overclocked anything was trying to jump that old AMD CPU's L1 to L4 with a pencil.
As far as GPUs, I'm still using a Radeon RX 570 video card.
Try it out. You might like it.
I remember the AMD pencil mod. That was a long time ago.

I wouldn't copy my settings but you should be able to follow this guide to find out what overclock your graphics card can run.
All GPUs are different. Yours might get a higher overclock than mine or maybe a lower one. It depends on a lot of factors.
Afterburner is a MUST to have, since it has great and accurate monitoring, so I highly recommend it.
my fan is loud as hell when i turn the fan speed on. should i be worried? lol
Why is your core voltage set to 0
I seen a guy say to put that to 100

It's not uncommon for an overclocked GPU to cause a blue screen. That just tells you you went up a little high. Back it off a bit and you should be cool.
That's super common when testing. Like he said, try not to go too high on the core clock. You can play with the memory clock way more and be stable.
