I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
I remember this Psalm while I was Fasting and Praying while Locked up in Jail. Falsely accused. This Psalm was so Powerful God Got me out of it. God Saved my Life for I know What God can Do. Make me Cry everytime I hear it. Love You Lord.

My mom passed away in August 2023. Two months later I find myself listening to this hymn. It was one of her favorites. And even though there is this trial, this baptism of fire that stings daily... I WILL lift up my eyes to the hills. He is still worthy. Hallelujah.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (February 10, Ash Wednesday), I attended a noon community Ash Wednesday service at a local Lutheran Church. We read a portion of this psalm during the service. May we walk with Jesus (and not cut & run) as he begins his journey to the Cross.
