My best friends died the first Nov 18th, 2018 and then my closest friend, she died February 23rd, 2019, but my youngest son, died of cancer last year in March 2023. The original was first recorded and sung by Jackie Gouche Farris, the praise and worship leader at Bible Enrichment Church located in Inglewood California under Pastor Beverly Crawford in the late 1990s. I was a member there and when Jackie first sung it Pastor Crawford said that it would be performed all over the world. That is so true still today Take the time to listen to the original version by Jackie Gouche Farris.
Learned this song years ago when I was on the mass choir! Learned the meaning of this psalm by being an at home caregiver! Your help will truly come from the Lord!

Life has been one tragedy after another. This song is helping get through.
One week later and I again turn to this for help. The grief is overwhelming me tonight. My losses are overwhelming. My best friends died the first Nov 18th, 2018 and then my closest friend, she died February 23rd, 2019, but my youngest son, died of cancer last year in March 2023. My brother is currently on hospice with cancer. I am trying to reach out for Jesus tonight, I can’t sing as the tears won’t stop. Thank you for this song.
