I think some thought it was an odd choice, but I didn’t tell my wife where we were going on our honeymoon and I wanted it to be a surprise. She went along with the idea. When we checked in at the rental car place at the airport to pick up our car, the lady behind the desk said, “Oh, so you’re staying at Shelburne Farms?” I think my wife heard the word “farm” more than anything else and had some concerns! But she needn’t have. We had reserved the master suite and it was an idyllic and romantic start to our life together.
