The dancing plague nowadays is attributed to a kind of mold that grows on cereals and grains - the mold has a chemical that is very similar to lysergic acid also known as LSD. So in short, they were tripping so hard they all died
Ergot I think it is
@@ungenbunyon5548 Yes.
I've heard this too.
I assume the chemicals give you crazy spasms, as opposed to making you feel like you really wanna boogie...
I bet it was super weird seeing people spasm dance especially to no music.
A possible runner up for this list would definitely have to be the mystery of the Mary Celeste.
The basic premise of this story, from memory, is that in the 1870s, a ship was discovered adrift in the Atlantic, by the name of the Mary Celeste. The curiosity with this ship was not that it had been ransacked by pirates or that the crew had befallen some obvious calamity… it was that the vessel was seaworthy, with all its cargo intact and no evidence that there had ever been a crew save one missing lifeboat. The ship’s log makes no note of anything untoward happening and the ship was filled with luxury goods when discovered, discounting the obvious go-to explanation of the ship being attacked.
We don’t know what happened to the captain, the crew - which included the captain’s family IIRC - or what caused them to abandon their ship in the middle of the ocean apparently on a small lifeboat but it remains an unsolved naval mystery.
Oh there'll be more parts to this one
This was a really interesting video, probably my favourite one on this channel. Keep up the good work!
Hadn't heard about any of these beforehand, really enjoyed this!
I do believe in some form of sentient life out in space, as it seems near-impossible that our planet is the only one in the billions of galaxies in the universe capable of sustaining life.
Awesome video, awesome channel. Subscribed immediatly. Also, one runner up for part two would be The Bloop - a strange, abnormally loud sound detected in the Atlantic Ocean, said to be impossible to come from a man-made piece of technology, or any known creature.
Really enjoyed this video. Great work
As someone who never paid attention in history lessons but now finds it super interesting & wishes she had, I'm really enjoying this channel.
I feel like some sort of life exists out in the vast "wilderness" of space. DB Cooper has been fascinating forever! And with Jack the Ripper, I find it quite interesting when the finger was pointed at Charles Cross aka Charles Lechmere, worked as a Carman for a meat company, had the skills, the knowledge and he was one of the "witnesses" right when there was a murder. Great video sirs!
You should do a video on Madline. That kid who went missing in 2007 at age 3. Nobody knows where she is today. The parents are rumored to have killed her the day she went missing but it was never proven. Also another good mystery is that triangle area where planes often disappears
I believe in aliens but I don’t think they are little green men with big heads. I think they would be so different from us that we’d barely be able to tell they were living things, because of having to adapt and evolve to different environments to ours.
Exactly
Nailed it
RE: Aliens
Well it's a big universe so surely there must be life somewhere else otherwise wtf happened? Only one planet has life? How/Why?
This is the type of content I had thought of when you announced this channel. Looking forward to more from your cohost.
Great video! I'm really enjoying the chanel. Soon, you'll get that video that strikes like lightening on the algorithm, and then: 'It's alive!'
Great video man.
Oh wow you mention the pass incident nice
History is amazing
Great video channel is taking off
Omg just found this channel!!! How are you not viral yet. I’m in before it happens don’t forget your Og subscribers lmao
Just enjoying the process of starting up a new channel.
It would be ludicrous to believe we’re the only ones in this universe. It’s just not mathematically possible. We’re not alone!
Im pretty sure they solved the dyatlov pass incident, it was a giant ice slab or something, its still just as interesting
That does not explain the radiation found on the bodies.
@@abysssun4979 that wasnt the only thing, but in cold war era russia im sure ot wasnt to hard to find radiation especially in random places
These are certainly unnerving, most of them
Yeah, totally believe in aliens, btw just grabbed Florence and the machines new album called dance fever, includes a track called choreomania based on what you talked about, creepy coincidence
👍
My favorite mysteries are Jack The Ripper, The Zodiac, D.B. Cooper, and Bigfoot because why not
Wow, look at that, I got my wish. Thanks gents!
More to come
@@DecadesVideos Stellar!
The Wow Signal is believed to have been caused by bird poop on the dish
I heard it was actually backtracked to a microwave of all things malfunctioning at the same period of time, though yours sounds a bit more realistic than what I heard haha
Damn Daniel
we need more boah
This guy sounds like the fizhy UA-camr guy
I wish people paid more attention to the wow signal when it was first discovered. Who knows what we could've found
Probably nothing
with the amount of galaxy's and solar systems there's no way earth is the only planet with life on it
You missed the "t" in "Strasburg"
there's always an error, isn't there
Actually, the Dyatlov Pass incident has been solved, so it shouldnt keep being put into videos such as this. Still a good retelling of the story tho.
It wasnt, they still dont know the direct cause. Every article or study that covers this never say it was for sure an avalanche, only that it was plausible.
In my opinion I absolutely believe in Aliens. There should be no way that humans are considered the “lucky ones” to be in the universe. And the Universe is so far expanding that we probably dont know a little speck of it yet. There sure oughta be something or someone lurking somewhere watching us. Then again this is my opinion and it’s probably invalid so take as you will
Shoulda dropped the 'from' in your title. Good narration. Adequate info. Interested in future content if the foreshadowed obscure/lesser known accounts are truly to follow.
This is such a pompous comment. Get over yourself.
@@abysssun4979 feedback and honest opinions were requested in the interest of producing quality material, that stands out from the rest, on a platform saturated with mediocre content. Consumer input can be an invaluable tool, the analysation of which a respectable method for creators who strive for excellence.
I offered my sincere assessment and judging by the little heart next to my comment it appears as if this creator appreciated my detailed feedback. Why it is that you feel hurt by an OPINION that has nothing to do with you at all, is not a matter I care to concern myself with. Although completely unsolicited, I appreciate your opinion, concerning that of mine, very little. Okay then.... have yourself a horrible day rocked with pestilence and strife, sissy.
if you want more details of 4 out of the 6 mysteries, check out Lemmino on yt.
