- To mark the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee, we reflect on the remarkable reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her close relationship with Cunard.
The Royal family has long been an intrinsic part of our heritage, and since assuming the throne in 1952 Queen Elizabeth II has visited and travelled on many Cunard ships. Indeed, she is the only person who can lay claim to presence at all three Cunard Queen Elizabeth ship christenings.
In the 70 years since Her Majesty became Queen, her association with Cunard has become a great source of pride, and we delight in toasting this special relationship.
Boy does this hit differently today vs in June. She was the lighthouse we all could depend upon and the last major link to defining moments of our past. She will be forever missed. Rest In Peace, Your Majesty and may God Save the King.
Ah Rest ❣️in peace queen✝️
I don't think enough congratulations can be said for Her Majesty, but here's yet another one from me. Especially glad she was able to launch my favorite of the Cunarders, the lovely QM2.
Long live the Queen: may God Bless her, and Rule Britannia. Love from America.
May Her Majesty continue to Rest In Peace...our commonwealth has been honoured to serve her.
As for the King.... well... we're going to keep stationary away from him...
Rest in peace queen Elizabeth
My great grandfather was captain R.G.B Woollatt he captained the aquitania, Mauretania and other Cunard ships. We have some fantastic photographs of his time away at sea and of the aquitania and Mauretania but no one else seems interested. Don’t know how to contact people who deal in British archives 🤷🏼♀️
Wow Lusitania's sister ship
Dear Cunard,
I know you won't be reading this but I'm still putting it here.
It would be nice if you made White Star Line real again. Maybe like a small cruising line. (Carnival - Costa).
It would be beautiful to see the magnificent Yellow and black funnels rise again.
Yes pls
And the first vessel would be named Olympic
Rip queen elizabeth the second 1921- 2022
Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth II 😢
I like how this is the longest ship since they went from the white star line to Cunard
RIP Queen Elizabeth II
We will greatly miss you, Your Majesty.
His Majesty the King is certainly a different experience..... not much elegance from him. He gives off a rather "entitled" feeling...
Cunard has always been making great ships like the qe2 qm2 qm qe they were my favorite ships
QE1(RMS Queen Elizabeth1)
QE2(RMS Queen Elizabeth2)
QE3? Or QE (MS Queen Elizabeth 3?)
QM1(RMS Queen mary 1)
QM2(MS Queen Mary2)
QV(MS Queen Victoria)

Qm2 was not a motor ship btw
@@hi-vz4un It's actually RMS Queen Elizabeth, Queen Elizabeth 2, RMS Queen Mary, RMS Queen Mary 2 and MS Queen Victoria.
@@Desertfox18 and MS Queen Elizabeth (3)
Oh boy 🙈
where is lusitania and marutania cunard line.
gone one sunk one scraped
Remember lusitania
Wrong month
tbh i never new that cunard was still running i thought it fell with white star line
lusitania II when
Not have lol lusitania noob ship
I don't think Cunard will name ships after ships that sank, which is why there was a Mauritania 2 but not a Lusitania 2. White Star was considering naming a Ship Arctic, but reconsidered because another ship from another line was named Arctic, and she sank. I don't think it's a superstitious thing, more of a respect thing.
Unlucky name
Then why is there not aqitania 2? WHY?
I’m a kid do queen love me?
The queen did not even know you
