    A early basic tip that is a bit easy to miss in the flood of early info - trade, to sell or - buy - an item it must have a slot in a warehouse or granary. You can have 200 boards at the top of the screen and have set to sell in the resource list but nothing will happen tell you put them in a warehouse. This gave me fits when I was trying to buy tools.

    I hope they add a terrain manipulator in a future update. That would make this game fantastic. The kind where you can create lakes, mountains, valleys wherever we like.🔥🙌🏼

    One very small, but super useful tool I have found that I haven’t seen many content creators is using more of the tools from the spyglass button in the upper left hand corner. I play with my territory boundaries always on, especially early game, so as to make sure I am using all of my land effectively.

    The biggest thing Manor Lord needs to learn from Foundation is the module system.
    It gets rid of every building looking the same which plagued citybuilder for so long!

    I love love that the buildings are upgradeable. I've never liked having to build 5 of the same building to add more production. Or building 10 storage buildings to hold more goods. Adding more to the same building is amazing.

    Been playing since late 2019.. so happy this game is finally released. The new art style is just incredible.. and being able to just easily pick up and move production buildings around is clutch

    I was doing quite a bit of work with monastery. Monk dorms, berries, unlocked wine, built a cooper with it. Imported building materials because I was running out of polished stone. I'm going to add nun dorms later so anyone can join. Reconfigure it. I was mixing buildings so going to move them around and what not. I didn't do taxes and got more population that way. Fill my businesses then sell stuff. Getting occasional bonuses when I come across them.

    All buildings can be moved using the edit function.. but there's an unlisted cost and it takes a builder's time to do it.
    But it's cheaper moving a lumber camp, for instance, than dismantling the old one and building a new one... and it retains all the employees when you move it.

    About converting subbuilding - one thing you could do is add a subbuilding type per building. So you would place the building you want then add another subbuilding type rather than continue building - might be a bit tedious but it could be good for anticipating changes you may need to make in the future.
    I only got about halfway through your vid, not sure if you mentioned it yet but something that's good to know is that you can build a building type like taverns, manors, churches, etc. in multiple locations - for example, you can build all the taverns in your city and they can all be connected instead of being separate. It depends on your playstyle but I found it useful because I had like 6 taverns across my city and I made two sets of connected taverns for easier managenent. It was useful to see all the stats at once instead of clicking each individual tavern. There are some building types like the city market which I prefer keeping all separate because it's easier to manage.
    Lastly, Fabledom was another game I really liked which reminds me of Foundation. Similar graphics as well. Fabledom is a cozy citybuilder like Foundation but it's based on fairytales - so fairytale creatures will come into your town every so often as a special event, and the general theme is that you're a prince/princess building your kingdom and you can win by either get married to another ruler or by going to battle with all of the other kingdoms.

    You can always convert any sub building.. just remember to add every part of a building with a specific task OR as a "freebuild" part. Again, placing every new add on as a single build. Then you can switch the use of a sub building without turning the entire building to another task.. hope this makes sense 😂🎉

    With the decorations I placed lanterns all over the road, so when you switch to dark time it looks sick. Adding trees and bushes I used when lamp was to much or out of place

    You can change the function of a building section using the gear icon in the list of building parts when you click on a building.

    I'd love if the game had a multiplayer map as well. Each player starts with their own portion of the map with balanced resources and purchaseable land. They could see each others towns, trade and help each other

    A good tip i'd give to players is to invest into density instead of making a massive residential area. Make a smaller one, wall it and improve services inside the wall. Leave production outside all around your city and then expand to a new walled town side by side.

    Foundation is not just better than Manor Lords, but *significantly* better. I think Manor Lords has the chance to get there in the end, but right now it's not even close.

    Been playing it nonstop since the full release, have an awesome megacity on a cool peninsula on a huge lake which is giving me some headache but also challenges 😅 my castle+monastery compound cost well over 3k stone and 3k polished stone, took awhile

    I was so excited for manor lords but I found it a terrible mix of being very shallow but also very frustrating. Foundation on the other hand has shocked me at how deep it is and how everything just works so well. Up to a point... once you get into the 500+ population size there's some desperate need for better logistic controls.
    Also holy shit your fence trick. I didn't know it did that. I'd always have to remember to draw fences clockwise in order to have fences face the right way

    The only way I could fail in Foundation is by messing up economy or food so much that I could not recover at all.
    Before 1.0, there was another way to accidentally lock yourself by not pursuing certain industries. For example: I have unlocked only first town to trade with and they didn't had a cloth. Then I would not develop my own textile industry and I could not build workplaces for making polished stone as it requires cloth. I could not unlock other towns and I could not build what citizens demanded (as it required polished stone). But as of 1.0, I see that such scenario is almost impossible now.

    Hello, I'm new on this game, just a couple hours in this full release but I really like it. I may put toooo many time in decorations smh xD. How do you guys plan the city? When I start, I don't have enough space to make those farms for wool or wheat. Kinda make sense to have all industry on one zone, but everything else is full houses or Manor/Church. Should I have something in mind when planning the city? Thankyou :3

    31:26 I wish we can make our own map. I love classic hills with lakes and a little patch of land in the middle of it. ykwim.
    Love the game, even though there a lot of stuff need to fix and polish. like simple things, better resource tab, better management tab, put an icon on the buildings tab on what the building actually does. so people didn't scamble the whole tab to find what they want. Sorting serfs, commoners, and citizen to works on the right places. and other stuff that I forgot to mention.
    maybe ill put in review comment or reddit for QoL list request. xd

    I keep having issues with housing. I've got empty housing appropriate for both Serfs and commoners, I've got areas painted for housing, but no one's building there. I still keep getting messages about no available housing, and insufficient housing. I don't understand it. There are empty houses, there are empty plots where houses can be built, but I keep getting messages of people leaving my village because they are unhappy with the lack of housing.

      You need to check where your workers are working. They are looking for housing in the vicinity of their workplace. So if your houses are too far away, they will stay empty. I built a few small villages at different work areas, just a well should do it. The markets seem to have unlimited range as far as I have experienced. Good luck! :)

      @@thunder543 Yeah thanks for replying, I actually managed to figure that out myself later, but now with my housing spread out I keep getting messages about people not having access to refined/rustic food. I've attempted to build multiple granaries and food stalls spread out to the different pop centers, but food doesn't seem to make it to all of them. I'm still stuck with pops leaving because they aren't happy, but now it's lack of food. Still experimenting to see if I can solve it.

    Stone masonry is OP... to upgrade to medium density, not only patrol but light garrison thing... I don't bother raising sheep, just import clothes is simpler... Berries is essential till the late game... Weapon workshop is funny... Better to spread patrol groups...

    I'm enjoying it. I was wondering why I was seeing so many warnings about workers not being able to reach their job - thanks for explaining it.
    I only have 2 minor issues
    The Mission Completed sound effect seems godawful loud compared to everything else.
    Not a fan of the washed out heraldry colors. Heraldry is generally vibrant... there's not even a pure white.
    Including a worn and faded appearance (or ooption) on in game decorations would be great, but when you look in the book, it should be vibrant.
    No one's national flag includes off-white

    I'm really looking forward to the war and conquest storyline in this game, will this be included, is there a map for engaging with the surrounding area. So far it looks like the game is still closed to one area for building and production operations. Do the game designers have any next steps in mind?

    the path blocked errors are related to blocked paths and not to workplace only available for one worker. When I've one error like that is because there was a path blocked. I had that once when I added a wood depot to my lumberjack building and this additional building was not reachable. It doesn't make the main building to stop functioning but my depot was never filled. So I had a capacity of 75 units of wood but when 50 units was reached, the error was popping with a serf blocked with wood in his hands. Of course once, some woods were gone from the main building, the blocked serf change his destination and the error is gone until I was back at 50 units ... and so on... I fixed the placement of the additional depot and problem solved. Now they fill the 75 units

    3:39 this stuff is neat, but what they implement it in not that pretty. They should hide the other patch of color when we select things specifically, not just show us bunch of messup colors
    Just highlight different tools and priority things in the background, for example, if hunting area are being painted they take priority over woodcutting and forester.
    atm its Paint in the ass to manage large area with this tools, its a mess since we didn't have clear button to reset it, you will need to earase the whole map and start from scratch again to make sense what you paint beforehand.
    7:32 welp I crash many times, but the previous patch fix some issue maybe.
    8:38 Yeah this one Is pain indeed. i thought the same things as yours in the first time. "Oh this actually neat, so ican convert this to other stuff latter" nope, didn't work that way. and the most stupid is treasury system, and the size balancing need to be consider aswell, since you can build a city just for the treasury and other moonestary or army stuff. it's so stupid. unless you cheat course to make similar building ontop of another in the same spot, other than that, you basically make whole city building with no people on it or just one in this case. xd

    How many Territories does your 'map' cover? I started in the demo (bought the full game yesterday) and I have 4 territories at the moment and it only looks like the tiniest fraction compared to yours. I hit a few problems villager wise, as soon as I taxed them they all left, and I made mistakes of letting them build wherever they wanted, and some of their builds took up loads of space - how can I stop them doing that? I've only had this game for a couple of days and already spent 8.2 hours in it, I start playing and time just passes me by!

      You need to plan ahead where you want your village to be, here you can paint residential zone step by step, so they have just enough space to build a house. This way you have way more control over housing space :)

    16:36 I think fabledom does the same things, but I might be wrong. since both game kinda similar. and for me I didn't care about the decoration that much. I've endup making to look natural most of the time. but for people who like neat stuff it's good for them.
    23:29 yeah that pain indeed. they need to do something for building and parts that had small model. since the code is tied to the model not the area itself.

    it would be easier for me if the game has production and consumption values per min/day or something.
    For example I really have no idea how many berries collection i need in order to satisfy 50 serfs and brew berry juce for like 30 commoners.
    I guess the more the better )))

    I have a problem with the housing. I have large areas for residents in different sections. But they do not build it in any of the green areas. It keeps on saying insufficient housing. I am not sure what to do. Any help would be good.

    Please help! Every time I reach the point in the game where I upgrade to medium-quality housing, the homes gradually downgrade back to low-quality. I’m carefully upgrading commoners and meeting all the requirements, yet for some reason, when I receive a warning that a house is about to be downgraded, it’s because the commoner’s resident status indicator slowly shifts from green to red, without any explanation. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

      I too have the same issue. When I try to upgrade to medium density or high density suddenly my commoners start to leave the city even though they are met with all the requirments. Not sure what the issue is.

    During the almost 14 hours of game play after, it started lagging to 0 fps and then crashes or goes back to a playable fps for a few seconds or crashes.
    It only started around the 13 and a half hour mark.
    Idk why, though
    Then i start a new world and it works fine again.

      Not since the last patch.
      Prior to that patch though I was able to reduce the frequency of it crashing by reducing the shadow quality down a tick and turning off V-sync and setting the frame limit to 60.

      Yep, your $$$ can go to minus. It happened alot to me when I still havent grasped the basic gameplay

      @@Pertruabo Took me 20 hours to figure it out. Is really easy to fall into a death spiral. But if you do everything right, for a city of 1000, you should make at least 400 surplus coin with 90% happyness.
