Hmm ...could it be that analysts themselves are lowering PLTR target price so they can buy more at a lower price ? Trust no one ! LOL
No it’s because the stock is way over valued in the short term. A few years down the track it may be worth it’s current price once earnings catch up but not now
Money is not meant to control people rather it is meant to be put to work producing more money for you. You cannot build wealth without putting money in its rightful place.
The downgrade will be the opportunity to buy.
Palantir….P/E 264.59….revenue 2.23B … and contract for 19M will increase share price, really????
I think most PLTR shareholders are in it for the long run, price movements probably won’t trouble too much.
Have to be ultra long term as you will see the price get crucified with the sector soon

Analysts, with exception of a few such as Dan Ives andTom Lee, are a dime a dozen. Every time Palantir is about to break resistance, some so-called analyst spews some nonsense, issues an hold rating, or downgrades Palantir stock. Its an obvious pattern to drive down the stock price.
…and what astute analysis do you base your valuation on? Oh I’m waiting to hearing this one…ever thought that they may be right?
sorry to disapoint but you got the reason of Palantir plummitting wrong. The reason for the drop that started on June 20 was not related to the downgrade, but it was because I decided to buy some Palantir stocks on that day (I had not bought any Palantir stocks before - that was the one and only time I bought some)!

In the grand scheme of things, $19 million to a company with a valuation well into the billions is nothing. But this is big money moving the stock around. I’m not worried about it. This is a 10 year, next Amazon, Motley Fool “if you would’ve invested when we told you” type of play.
This is a hope, I pray, I speculate it’s another top tech. Hey until I see the earnings I wouldn’t buy it.
That’s why Nvidia has done so well up to recently. Actual earnings and massive earnings growth. That probably be years away if at all for Palentir and you are paying a premium for it now. Reality is setting in now and why the price is falling. Playing with fire..

Palantir isn't for the faint of heart. It'll continue to be targeted by analysts who don't want to accept their contribution to the world or aren't willing to put in the time and research to understand it. In any case, if you, as an investor, are all in, don't pay attention to the noise. In the end, it's only share count and what you've been able to accumulate that really matters. Stay the course and buy the dip if you have a long-term horizon. 😊

Do some financial research not just base your opinions on hope and contracts that don’t have short term value in earnings. That’s what the market looks at eventually and that’s starting to happen now

I am not clever not intelligent.
But, if you think it's normal for an analyst to make a target which is unrealistic of what's actually happening, then it falls under the potential of them being "bizarre" in my honest opinion.
A lot of people are wondering if it's a mistake, or maybe they are trying to drive the price down for whatever reason. See as you do.
These so-called analysts get far too much attention, but they are more likely to be manipulators acting purely in their own interests.

Right on. Minor point: ARPA is a massive government agency that initially funded the Internet and employs the smartest people available to face hard future problems. If there’s a health division I’d expect real results. Palantir will provide amazing leverage. The analyst clearly can’t grasp why Palantir is fundamentally different than the Big Data companies-most analysts are dumb - so he’s not alone missing the point,but he’s likely paid by short sellers to drop the stock so the greedy morons can scoop up the stock. Keep being astute!

Hayley Hayley Hayley. I know you love these comments for algos & $’s but I’ll try to save you $’s here.
I really recommend that you do some financial education before investing. Understand how to do a valuation of a company.
Qualified and experienced analysts will always win over you and your viewers perception of value. (That’s not meant to be a derogatory comment). They will dictate future prices.
Sentiment is high for these stocks.
These contracts don’t bring in earnings either short term or more importantly enough to justify the current price and why more are selling. They may in the future but not now. Investors look at next year’s earnings not what’s possible in the years beyond that.
Have you checked the short positions on the stock? If that’s high or rising, it’s a further sign more are thinking that the price will and is falling now.
You’ve been warned!! Get out and save some $’s now…there’ll be a better time to invest but not now.
Pure sentiment is driving the stock price and as you have seen yesterday that can evaporate in a second..so to speak

@@henrik5761 until there’s earnings, it’s just plain speculation that current developments will translate into actual profits. When hot money’s involved, it’s dangerous to be in these stocks.

Hayley you are posting too much about Palantir and Tesla to be healthy - I suspect you are over exposed in your positions and face a massive loss if one of these fails.The signs are there have been there myself.
scale back and look for more opportunities to compliment these two
Totally agree. So much expectations in the prices and there are so many better opportunities.
Risk management is so crucial in investment.
It’s far better investing in ETFs in that sector to diversify amongst many stocks. History shows returns have been excellent over the long term in tech stock ETF’s Nasdaq 100 ETFs such as QQQ or NDQ have achieved 600 to 700% returns over a decade so why would someone risk their savings on 2 tech stocks with doubtful futures?
One of the worst issues with young investors is trying achieve huge gains virtually overnight.
The fact remains compounding returns over many decades yields incredible returns.
$10000 into millions in 30 years. At 20% pa for 30 years that’s $2.37M.
