The Scope Galactic News Network reports on the sudden decloaking of unidentified structures across New Eden and the appearance of vessels that appear to be of Jove origin. With stellar experts baffled by these events, many capsuleer organizations as well as CONCORD have made unsuccessful attempts at contact with these mysterious and radically advanced vessels, which appear to be benign in actions unless provoked.
Meanwhile, the Servant Sisters of EVE have released startling revelations regarding the devastated system of Thera, and its link to the stellar anomaly known as “Caroline’s Star”.

It's like a battlecruiser with a doomsday weapon. Sort of like a stealth bomber (frigate class) with torpedo launchers (battleship size weapons)

chris simpson it's funny that they tell you that you are playing wrong a game that's basically a sandbox. Seems that those that tell you that only can see things their own way.

Concept Well actually under the right file type and encoding it can. I've done it before where I put a youtube video on the screen. the sound plays on it as well. it would just require some encoding to do so.

I love how the pilot gave no shits to the lives of the crew members onboard that Nyx. For those of you who might not know, all player ships actually have crew members onboard to help run things. So while your ship blows up and all you worry about is the isk value, a hell of a lot of people just lost their lives and aren't coming back.

Well if they can get to the escape pods intime they have a chance to survive although that carrier went down to fast for anyone to get to the pods:(
The game doesn't have much to say about ships having crews. They are irrelevant to game mechanics. To learn this info, you have to run across it in a NPC mission text, find it in a video like this, or the EVE backstory on a website. Making crews matter to game mechanics would just add more complication, to a game that a lot of folks say is way too complicated to begin with ;)
So awsome to involve real capsuleer pilots in the news please don't stop and make more !!!!

You could actually do that by yourself. CCP released a tutorial on how to add videos to the holoscreen a few years ago. iirc you need to convert the video you want to add to a RAD video format (you can convert any video into the RAD format with RAD video tools) and then add the file to some folder... i forgot which one it was but you can google that if you want to do it.

I witnessed some Unclassified wormholes this morning. It had Sleeper Tech holding it open and drifters came and went in a .9 system

Not exactly unexpectedly: While the cause and age of onset seems random, the Jovian disease makes the patient fall into an increasingly deeper depression. While the first months or even years can be partially treated with psychologists and the like, it eventually becomes so severe the patient stops eating and drinking altogether, which ends up being the biological cause of death.

Drifters are reported to be of Jovian origin, not Jovians themselves, so its not that you can say for certain that they can't be capsuleers :) I haven't read that much of lore, but its just a thought
They were intended to be a playable race, but a few complications before launch made it impractical. They later shifted them towards a different role in the world entirely, and that's why you stopped seeing any sort of Jovian characters or NPCs a year or so back.
Triage II What Triage II said. If you've ever seen Joves, they aren't borg looking. Reports indicate that most likely, these Drifter Battleships, being friendly with Sleepers, is actually of older Sleeper design. The Sleepers are, after all, a split from Jovians, that split off when the AI controlling the Sleepers went rogue and attacked the Jove. The Jovian people in cryogenic stasis were left in the stations the Sleepers guard. It seems likely, that these cybernetically augmented pilots are likely Jovians from the cryo chambers, augmented and controlled by the Sleepers to pilot their ancient, but still powerful battleships.
Too little info, but remember the Jove wiped out an entire Amarr fleet in four hours, with what amounts to Jovian frigates, and we've seen their battleship and other ship designs. They are similar, but clearly more advanced. My wager is the Sleepers found either these Jove ships from centuries ago when the Jove fought back the Sleeper AI, or found blueprints of those ancient vessels, then once found, began mass producing to strike back at the capsuleers that have been fucking their shit in wormhole space.

Since always. Lore has it that all ships have crews, either dozens, hundreds, thousands, or in the case of Titans over a million. Capsoler ships have an order of magnitude less people then normal ships though.

My guess is the drifters are the descendants of the old tyrant of the jove. Was it... the rise of the second jove empire? They serve a person called Tyrranis Strategos so it may be a hint to their origin.

So the Jove are flying in New Eden with super weapons more powerful then a titan's dooms day... If a carrier was taken out by a single shot how would a titan stand?
To be fair there wasnt much of a tank fitted to that carrier. so a proper tank should be able to tank the doomsday. secondly. Just because it killed a thany doesnt mean its more powerful tena titan doomsda. It just means it at the very least is on the same level as a doomsday time will tell if it is on the same level, if this wa a fluke, or if the titans doomsday is now obselete

If there lore is correct, they used one weapon or mothership and whipped out the amarr invasion force back when amarr was enslaving everyone they met. Also if they are appearing with sleepers who says they don't have talocan tech. The amarr grabbed a talocan, or some other race, super weapon that whipped out a minmatar fleet.

Matthew Pike The jove have taken old earth tech and studied and improved on it. The tech used by the amarrians was like the atom bomb in the year 2000. The atom bomb was deadly but we have bigger bader bombs now. So the jove improved on tech they rediscovered from earth. One of the many results to this research was the sleeper A.I. system.
The tech the jove have like all tech in new Eden is no longer earth in design Its jove in design. old earth tech is obsolete compared to sleeper tech. And sleeper tech is obsolete to jove tech.
These drifters are related to the sleepers more then the peace loving jove.

Lies! I was attacked by the drifters without provocation. I was sitting at the beacon, passive, near one of their stations in an unarmed, explorer class frigate. The drifter bs attacked and destroyed my craft. Must not have liked my face or something. :)

Don't fly in EVE because the cowards have all the advantages. Dark and gritty world doesn't seem to apply to high-sec gankers and grief monkeys. Stupid mechanics like this and "hyperdunking", somehow considered legit gameplay, make EVE a joke of a game to play.
the fact that you even know what hyperdunking is tells me you have witnessed it. Hardly legit gameplay. I wonder if we will ever see a player ran justice system.

***** It's from ancient greek Θάνατος, which is pronounced "Tanatos", the french put a h next to the T for syntaxic purpose but the letter is supposed to be silent. Americans are basically using the french transliteration but are pronouncing it the american way, which is weird.
