There'll be gardening, cooking with home-grown produce, restoration work, and lots of hungry animals to feed. Oh, and not forgetting the inception moment!

Are you looking at the same video?
That rabbit tractor is horrible. Its barely the size of a pet rabbit cage /hutch and those are now illegal as permanent housing in many places ( for pet rabbits anyway).
Rabbits need to be able to run (or at least hop forward some distance ), and there was only a single rabbit in each one too , which is just cruel and illegal in several countries also.
Again, for pet rabbits (whose welfare is marginally more regulated than farmed rabbits’) but they are still all treated like they are somehow largely immobile and stupid.
These “lawn mower” rabbits are kept in way too small housing, can’t exercise and are without a partner. They are NOT being kept very well by any standard!
It’s barely better than those super cruel traditional hutches.
If you wouldn’t keep a cat or dog of the same size in it, then you shouldn’t keep a rabbit in it.
These rabbits are kept at the lowest level (aka cruel) of pet rabbit conditions and certainly not especially well or species appropriate . None of their needs are met properly.
If they were pet rabbits it would be considered cruel and inadequate (and the same applies to any other kind of rabbit) .
Please educate yourself before you praise objectively inadequate and cruel (loneliness etc. ) treatment of animals.

To deal with the midges, set up the proper bird houses around your property to make your property attractive to migratory birds like sparrows. A nesting pair of sparrows can eat thousands of midges per day!
Similarly, find out what kind of insect-eating bats are native to the area, and build sleeping/ roosting areas they like.

I admire your courage and determination👏🏻 I also just love the way you cooperate with animals - a perfect way for humans and animals to live in peace and harmony and help each other rather than just keep them for profit. You said in the one of your latest videos that you didn't approve the ways of modern farming and I totally agree. No idea whether you're vegetarian or not but still this world needs more persons like you. May the Mossy Bottom thrive!

You’re just an inspiration, and actually a bit of a spiritual guru without meaning to be! This was so uplifting to watch, thank you very much for making it. I love how you have such a beautiful relationship with all the animals, and you know how to work with their natural behaviours in a symbiotic way. It’s like a way of life that was lost to us, but I think it holds the key to real joy and freedom. I would love to do the same!

You did a great job making this video. I live in northern Tuscany in Italy and live in a borgo which is a hillside stone village that's hundreds of years old, as is my house. First thing I learned when I moved into my stone house was to adjust to my new environment. That included when I would brush against a stone door frame, or even worse, accidentally bump into it. The bruises and scrapes are a reminder that stone is well, just plain unforgiving haha. I was born in England but am Irish by descent and have a very Irish last name. Maybe one day I will travel to Ireland as I've never been. My ancestors are from Mayo and Roscommon mostly. Blessings to you Daniel.

Daniel, I love you so much. This was such an all-around delightful vlog. Laughed out loud at the outtakes (“I have two cockerels & only need one.”)-too funny. You’re a good soul.
I love the way you interact with the animals-it’s all so dear. Really enjoyed watching you make your simple but delicious meal (I love poached eggs on toast too & strawberries).
The pointing in what will be your storage & work “shed” was extremely well done!!
I just really loved this “Day In The Life” video. BTW, I bought 2 of your 2021 calendars. I use one & gave the other to my Irish loving daughter who wrote to me the other day to say she loves it so much; I adore mine too of course.
Never knew introverts were worriers but that sure explains a lot about me. Lol. Sending love to Mossy & the naughty cat (didn’t you have 2?-didn’t see the other-oh wait, you said cats-plural & I did see the other later in the back of the land); your cat at the start of the vid looks nearly identical to mine who’s named Dylan Thomas.
Everything on your small holding is looking lush & outstanding.
I don’t think I’m getting all the notifications for your vids. This one is 5 days old & just now came thru my YT feed.
At any rate, be well & stay well.

I love this video, I spent large parts of my summers and winters on my grandmothers farm, helping where it was hard for her and then helping her bake for the farmers market. Both my parents grew up on a farm, (although my mother moved away when she was in middle school) so I know and love how fulfilling this life can be as well as how hard it can be, I wouldn't trade it for the world though. This life is the one I dream of, to return to my roots and live in harmony with the earth.

Such an enjoyable video! I'm a bit under the weather at the moment (so frustrating in this glorious weather!) and this video really cheered me up - loved the outtakes at the end, made me laugh out loud and the wisdom in finding joy in life's little victories, not holding out on happiness until x, y or z is achieved. We too have recently moved to the Irish countryside, 100 year old cottage needing a lot of renovation (no idea where or how to start) and an overgrown acre full of promise/overwhelm (depending on my mood) for a productive and biodiverse garden. Thank you for all the inspiration from sharing your life and work and for all the effort that goes in to these really excellent videos!

LOL your cockerel at the end... that was too funny.
I made weekly videos for about 4 months once. It took about an hour of planning, 3 hours of filming, and then 3 hours of editing to make a skit video anywhere from 4-12 minutes long. Between all the footage you take, figuring out what to keep and what to cut, and how to salvage parts where the audio or video isn't *quite* what you were hoping for, making videos is not as easy as the end product makes it seem. You do an excellent job. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us :)

I am fortunate to be able to do this...gardening, growing your own food and caring for your surroundings is my key to happiness...as soon as I am exposed to chaos (usually not of my own making) a need to find a "safe" place is essential. Chaos caused by self is more manageable if it is recognize as just this...dealing with it has it's challenges, but at 68, it has become easier...life will always have it's bumps in the road...it's o.k...it's life!!!! LIVE IT...your veg bed is lovely.
