i took all 20 of these tests using my NEC book and they were a tremendous help in helping me get used to using the book and confirming answers. I took my low voltage test after using this for practice and even if all this info was way more than low voltage questions. I passed with ease. So thanks for having these on the line.

I highly recommended the KEY WORD INDEX by Tom Henry. It makes finding references in the code book much easier. Cheers and good luck to everyone.

Question 15 is incorrect. Article 386.22 states adjustment factor shall not apply when ALL of the following conditions are met. If you are using this as review for your Inside Wireman Certification, understand, most of these questions are good, however they are pretty basic. Make sure you utilize more reputable online NEC practice tests like Dewalt. It also behoves you to study with material that tells you where in the NEC you will find the answer.

If possible use the 2014 NEC for your Real Exam if your test is still based on the 2014 NEC. My instructor told me that the NEC 2017 changes shouldn't affect passing the 2014 Exam, but one question could mean pass or fail. On some of these questions like the "Underground Wiring for Pools in Metal raceway" is no longer in the 2017. I spent a long time looking for it and couldn't find it, until I checked Ryan Chappell's code reference and yup Its no longer in there. Just a heads up.

I believe you should be using the 60 degree column as it will be under 100A. Plus the double asterisk leads you to 240.4D (5) maximum over current device 20A

How does this help anybody trying to prepare for the NEC exam? It really doesn’t. It would be more helpful if you showed us how you picked the keywords in the question, how you searched for them, and ultimately, how and where found the answer. You are not expected to remember every thing in the NEC, but all journeymen and contractors and the students taking the exam are expected to understand and know how to navigate the book and find any of these answers in under two minutes. Add feedback to your videos, and you have a great educational video. The video itself is not helpful

Question 6 is specific for dwelling units only, and also conf/meeting rooms per NEC 2017. No code requirements for general receptacles, in corporate, industrial etc.

Question 6 is misleading,it should have stated what is the spacing in dwelling units. 2014 nec 210.52 through 210.64 only applies to dwelling units better known as residential. FYI code book term is dwelling unit not residential.

This is not a good video for test prep. This video fails to state what the code sections are with each answer. It is not "full answers." Many code exams require you to cite the code section along with the answer. And many exams are fill in the blank not multiple choice. If you want to pass the exam, I would highly recommend Stallcups Master Licensing Exam book. You will also need to purchase the answer book separately. If you need videos to pass, that is okay, but you should stick to industry vetted sources like Mike Holt.

It would be better if you presented how you acquired your answers. It’s kind of pointless if you give your answer without showing how. That’s the entire point of learning to navigate the NEC.

"must be rated not less than"---poor English jargon. "Should not be rated less than"
Better. Why can't the "changes " in the code, include removal of the 1940 jargon cluttering it? As far as I'm concerned, that book, NEC ILLUSTRATED should BE the codebook. Just add in what's missing. Who make this hard? It's not like this has anything to do with the quality of the work a customer ends up getting.
