Baker's 7 has been my go-to for the last couple years. We've seen ages reach close to 9 years, but lately they're closer to the 7 year age. They do keep the profiles of individual bottles pretty on point for a consistent flavor better than nesrly all other single barrels. I always have backups on hand, and have a box with several over a dozen empties that need repurposed or recycled. It delivers a great rich flavor at a super perfect proof point. That's my favorite for this list.
Makers 46cs has been a go to for a while. The profile fits my pallet so well. Really enjoyed the heart release as well. Almost tasted like a 46cs turned up to 11. That bardstown 106 wheat is top tier for the price as well
For me, my everyday bourbons are: WL Weller Special Reserve, Buffalo Trace, Bardstown Origin Wheated, Early Times Bottled in Bond, Tincup Fourteener, and Ben Holladay Soft Red Wheat, Four Roses Small Batch (non-select). Very sweet, very easy drinking, they drink at a lower proof then they are (less burn), they're not bitter, not astringent. Theres some acceptable stuff that's more affordable if your palate is more flexible. Benchmark Top Floor, Benchmark Bonded, McFarlane's Reserve, JTS Brown 80 proof, Jim Beam Black 7yr.
But to answer your question, while i expanded my collection and hunt all the dusties, it appears that entire year i was coming back to wild turkey 101 & knob creek 9. Bear in mind in Europe we are very limited and we receive mainly products from big players that are never allocated and often cheaper than in US (standard offerings only) All the fancy stuff, barrel picks and limited edition are impossible to get or marked up double or triple the price.
I’d have to add Rare breed rye one of my favorites the bourbon is also great but the rye is just hitting me right. Bardstown is hard to get around my area have yet to see the high wheat it I’ll keep looking. And unfortunately Barrell doesn’t come anywhere close to me. 🥃🥃🥃
Great list !

Agreed, about the MM CA. The limestone cellar bit is more marketing than enhancement

What's the source of the cinnamon spice in wheated bourbons?
