    My dealer offered to charge 186$ to do both the engine and cabin filters while my car was in for a free recall service, which is a huge rip off. I just did the cabin one myself and intend to do the engine one today for a total cost on filters of like 65$ because I spent a bit extra on a nicer cabin filter.

      Thank you for the watch and comment. In the U.S., so I am told (I am in no position to give legal advise) legally the dealership would have to prove that the modification resulted in the problem that you're looking for them to remedy per the Magnuson-Moss Act. However, this doesn't mean that the dealership wouldn't give you a hard time or try to deny you service.

      I think my wife would disagree... with that said, it's been difficult given our current environment as the dyno shop has been closed, and a lot of what I want to do is test various individual mods to really see what the power gains are. So, under the circumstances I've had to improvise, hopefully just for a little while longer. Hang in there.

      The Lemon Factor! Oooh.ok. I did a lot of stuff to my accord so far. First thing was the drop. But engine wise, Started to run like crap. But I wasn’t going to get tuned after every upgrade. Parked it for a month. Prl intake, prl civic type r inlet, prl front pipe and down pipe. 3 inch custom exhaust, prl flex fuel kit. Hondata stage 2 tune. Prl is gonna make drop in turbo soon! I got dyno tuned yesterday at 374. It’s a significant gain but I installed everything myself. I’m wondering for someone who has to pay for their installs. If it’s worth it for those gains. My initial thought is no but I’m cheap. And I do have to factor in this platform is not 2 years old yet.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  3 роки тому

      From strictly a performance perspective? - I think there are better ways to spend your money to produce gains. With that said, if you’re to get one, a closed box style would be best.

    • @akmpls438
      @akmpls438 3 роки тому +1

      @@TheLemonFactor I agree on bang for buck compared to k-tuner. Mishimoto touts “max power gains of 15.6 whp and 12.9 wtq while maintaining safe A/F ratios - no tune required.” Wonder if that’s true - any thoughts on these claims? Oil vs dry filters?

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  3 роки тому

      I’ve never found manufacturers claims regarding power production to be repeatable by independent third parties. That’s not to say they don’t produce gains, just not to the exaggerated extent that they quote 🤷‍♂️

    When we removed the filter and looked down into the filter box, there was a handful of dog food in it. It was definitely dog food from our garage. How is it possible to have gotten in the filter box.

    • @TheLemonFactor
      @TheLemonFactor  3 роки тому

      Very strange 😯. I don’t know why that is. If I had to guess, you might have a rodent problem, where they’re stealing your dog’s food and hiding it in the car. I’ve known and heard of many cases where they’ve nested within the car somewhere 🤷‍♂️
