I cant tell ya how much this has helped in terms of getting new players into the game! It makes teaching new players at my local arcades and card shops MUCH easier and the editing is immaculate, your voice is also great to listen to!
I'm gonna be teaching a friend how to play sometime soon, and wanted to do a refresher for myself. This is, quite literally, the best Weiss Schwarz tutorial I've seen.
Feel a bit called out on how I learnt about the game, but finally got my friends to try the game out for the first time today and we are definitely are going to be trying again! We tried to learn it ourselves with the trial decks and tutorial video by Weiss Schwarz and was still lost lmao This video certainly will help us learn the game more
You’re a legend ese 😎 been like five months of trying to learn the game this last three weeks I’ve finally understood the whole gameplay and finding this vid has helped me to review if I still needed to know stuff congrats you’re the 🐐 🔥 💯 keep posting 🔥 content
Should mention here that there is a banned list. It is small yes but still to note if your making a deck that's on that list, like "date a live" for example. I say banned but the cards on that list at least for English are just limited.
I had two unopened boxes of WS Fate Grand Order, so I decided to crack all the packs and check it out. Your video is the third ‘how to play’ that I’ve watched and it’s still pretty confusing, although I admit yours was by far the best out of the 3. Seems like one of those games that will make more sense the more you (attempt to) play. I’ll never understand why some TCG creators make such convoluted and confusing rules, but this is definitely a game I want to learn. I appreciate the time you put into this video. Gonna take a stab at making a deck and seeing how it goes. 🤷🏻♂️
8:35 Felt like this list needs to reflect that the random method needs to be done first to determine first turn player, as they are the first ones who need to Mulligan before the second turn player.
It's definitely among the more tournament-play-oriented distinctions that didn't make it into the script to try to maintain simplicity/brevity. That said, being that there are a few of those things, I'm going to add a section in the description about reading up on the floor rules for tournament play!
thanks for the detailed explanation, by far the best I ve seen, just jumping into the game with friends ! oh and quick question what are the sleeves used by the player on the right (you?) ? thanks agina, going to watch the rest of the vids and sub :D
I have a question that I’ve seen conflicting answers for: When you trigger an ability that reveals cards from the top of your deck and that ability runs through your last card how do you resolve the refresh? For example: Mikasa: Recovery Mission has a climax combo ability that on attack reveals up to four cards from the top of your deck. How does this interact with refresh if the last card you reveal is the last card in deck? What if the third card is the last card in deck? Do those revealed cards go back?
The answer: When an ability says "Look at the top cards of your deck" they haven't technically left the deck. So if you have 3 cards in your deck, attack with Mikasa, and look at those three cards, you don't refresh and look at a fourth, as you still have a three card deck. In that instance, you would make your selection, put the rest of those cards in the waiting room, then refresh your now empty deck and take refresh damage. The same goes for "Reveal". Cards revealed by abilities also do not leave the deck until the ability fully resolves.
this was really well made! just a question about mixing cards with shared titles tho, there’s been an announcement on holostars soon having ws start decks&booster packs, idk if this might seem dumb but hololive and holostars are all under holoproductions so is it considered different titles?
I'm just thinking about getting into WS as an alternate game so it's not just magic and magic like games. This video was really helpful, but I do have 1 question. When you demonstrated The brainstorm ability, why were you able to do 3 of the some character? Was the scenario just that you had 2 of her in your hand and pulled the 3rd with the brainstorm ability, or do you get all of that character?
Me and my friends just started playing and I have collected several decks prior to actually playing, my favorites being GL and Persona 4. My issue with Weiss sadly is how some sets have cards only in Japanese and therefore nerfs a set in the west. I wanted to make a good P4 deck but was told several types such as the Velvet Room deck are nerfed because they aren't in English.
That's actually 100% what it was. Since Weiss Schwarz is all about Animes, each with their own copyright, using too much material from them (especially music) in my videos was getting me in hot water with UA-cam- so I cut down on it.
Do you have any great hololive decks to reccomend? I'm nvr built a deck by my own so I've been taking others deck, currently have 80% of one deck and I want to make another deck.

I've been using it ATLEAST once every month since it came out to get people into the game

You are awesome. By far the best how to play I have seen. My family just picked up a couple decks and this really helped us jump right in. Thank you
Wow the timing. I just bought this booster box and decided to get educated on the game and this appears.
same here just picked a trial pack + from anime expo lmao
I hope you folks had fun at Anime Expo, and enjoy trying out Weiss Schwarz!
Wow the timing. You posted three hours before the video went live.
@@michaelr.2159 the video premiered

this is really too confusing but honestly it's like the most simplify tutorial ive seen thank you
Thank you for the entertaining guide. What an interesting game.
By the way, what sleeves are those? I must have them.
I had to repeat most of the time in the middle cuz I got distracted by the marine sleeves a whole lot

Added in the description!

I'm pretty sure it's yugioh's fault why card games have gotten so complicated. 😂😂😅

are you a musician? i can see you can play the cat very well
Thank you for explaining the Color and Side atk rules, as a new player those confused me
i love the sleeves i’ve been looking for some could i know where you got them from by any chance?
And here I thought it was about time for a remastered WS How To. Noice.
awesome video for learning!

Cardfight Vanguard but a hell of a lot more confusing lol

Very great and detailed explanation

why the hell does bushiroad do this??
I do not understand the appeal of vtubers, but I really do enjoy this card game.
I don't know why I expected a meme video 🤣🤣 like step one buy marine. Step 2 win
I just watched your 2019 how to play series, whatever happened to the badass musical intro to your videos?
copyright stuff I guess
That's actually 100% what it was. Since Weiss Schwarz is all about Animes, each with their own copyright, using too much material from them (especially music) in my videos was getting me in hot water with UA-cam- so I cut down on it.

So, if I have a red card in climax and a yellow card in clock, can I play a yellow climax even though my level only has red?
Is...this just cardfight vanguard...but waifus....???
In a way, but the high level gameplay is VERY different
A lot more tutoring and fetching specific cards you want in a turn than vanguard (on average)
ρɾσɱσʂɱ
the most detailed tutorial I have watched, many thankss🤍
