I caught one of these little guys in the pan handles of Florida and he did well. When I caught him he was the size of a half-dollar. Before I got rid of him for legal reasons - he was eating full grown mice.
I live in GA so this one of the six species we can have legally(and IMO the coolest). How are they with handling? Are they easy to control on a hook or tongs? Which brand do you recommend?. And where do you get these guys? I could catch one ig but are they ever at shows? thanks
They are not the best one for handling. They do not stay on hooks well either. But I would recommend having both hooks and tongs to be honest! But you just have to look online and check everyday to see if someone posts about selling them!

Maybe so. It’s just such a heavy substrate to use!
