@ZodiacBandit we don't know that. He could decide he wants to control Predathos the same way he took vecna's hand. Maybe he's tired of serving the Scaled Tyrant and planning to betray her.
I’m shocked that The Whispered One himself hasn’t even been mentioned in having part in this. You’d figure that after everything it took for him to become a god, then finding out that there is a creature that eats divine beings would definitely make for him to return in a way

Maybe Arkhan and Opal will fend of more soldiers for Vox Machina and they insert a little bonus guest episode with Joe and Aimee and maybe some others showing the war from the betrayers side...
I want to see Victor return. I know he’s supposed to be dead, but it would be awesome if he was somewhere in the soldiers from Vaselhiem. He could recognize Percy and wave with his 3 fingers while hurling black powder kegs at the enemy.
If my memory serves me right and the final session of campaign 1 they had 10 people at the table. Unfortunately due to circumstances it was for a very brie period of time though.
@@larrystoll5368 yea they can definitely have 10 people I think it would be best for it to be brief giving us enough time to see them enjoy them and give one last goodbye
While I think it’s possible and I would welcome it, I think the most we would get is a nod to him, this massive Dragonborn holding off a pack of ruidians or something on the other side of the plaza split off from them by the fighting. The reason I say this is because I genuinely feel like in recent months CR has taken GREAT pains to avoid anything like D&D proper lore. Like they NEVER refer to Vecna by name or even ANY of the gods ….. it feels to me like they are taking great pains to distance themselves from anything cross canon. And with Arkhan being IN the avernus book ….. I dunno, I have no clue on any sort of trademarks or anything.
Considering they advertised a daggerheart trial game in exandria as one of their live shows my guess is it survives and campaign 4 will be their system not dnd. This seems like it’s a massive goodbye to dnd and all the fun of 10 years doing this stuff. Bring on all the cameos and guests!
I think it would be awesome if the original guests came back to play the characters, however, given Amie wasn't there, I doubt they would. Though having Joe would be amazing.
Dude....so not surprised about Arkhan and what you say makes complete sense. Bro that is awesome! I am going to be so happy with all the tricks up Matt's sleeves that he is going to roll out/reveal to us. I like how he made this in to a 3 part movie with an obvious Segway in to a 4th. Honestly I'm bummed out and already want them to start a campaign 4 but I think if we are lucky we might see that late next year. I'm really sad about that. D&D = Critical Role and Critical Role = D&D. I absolutely dislike Daggerheart and I hope they understand that this isn't just 1 fan who feels this way. Anyway I got way off topic here, sorry boss. @@joeblow7735 I’m excited for the future I think they’ve seen the fans aren’t totally on board with a game switch and will probably stay with dnd for the most part
So here’s my theory I don’t think they’re done with Exandria but I feel like there’s going to be a in game time skip. Which depending on how long the jump is could lead to some members of Vox machia, the mighty nien and the bells hells to have died of old age. Even if wrong I doubt we get these characters in c4 I really think this is going to wrap things up c1 and c2 and those characters will be retired pretty much permanently outside of one shots and such. @@omega1735 i actually agree with this a time skip will be the best thing for C4 to make it feel like C2 did c3 has felt dependent on previous campaigns C4 should stand alone
@@ZodiacBandit I think it is likely but I think if it happens it definitely will mean the permanent retirement of c1 characters and possibly c2 characters depending on how long the jump is. The main thing would be grog and Percy. I think Matt took over opal simply bc Aimee isn’t a terribly experienced player and she took so much time to figure out her moves. Don’t think Matt wants to take 15 minutes every time her turn rolls around bc he’s running 8 pcs and god knows how many groups of npcs.
