I am sure you will do a great job! It is really a simple table to build. The top is 3 2x6's 48", The rest are all 2x4's. The legs are 36", the short pieces are 8" , the top rails are 40" and the bottom center beam is 42". You just lay out the center pattern and mark them.
I like the table and especially the design of the pattern in the center. I'm a little unclear about how to correctly drive the pocket hole screws in order to allow for wood movement.
no worries. when I attach the top, I only use 4 screws, two on each side, I don't tighten them all the way . I just want them to be tight enough that the top doesn't move around. This allows the wood to expand and contract. All of the other screws in the body and frame are very tight because all the joints are glued together. I hope this answers your question.
