This is my favorite song in the album. Dave & Mori have gorgeous blending, especially during the climax. Soaring vocals and gorgeous harmonies. Dave Lamar was spectacular. I loved his solo part. I'm inspired to learn to sing the male part of this song now! Then, of course, there is Morissette. Mori's vocal tones are *immaculate.* She has *optimal* control of how bright and how dark her vocal tones and timbres can be at any given note or passage. Her phrasing (with all her Mori-isms and vocal effects).......Her articulation....Her musicality and interpretation of music is becoming so refined. I am often rendered speechless to hear it, and grateful to be alive to hear this elite level/quality of a vocal instrument. She has one of the greatest vocal tones of all time. *REMINDER: Don't let the casuals minimize a singer's tone.* Possessing a rich, vibrant vocal tone is a *learned* skill. A vocalist must first develop a "chiaroscuro quality" to their voice (i.e. a blending of bright and dark). Sadly, today's singers are not prioritizing the quality of their tone. They want to hit the high belting notes, even if it sounds too trebly and overly bright. No one wants to develop a well balanced tone anymore.
Wow this gave me goosebumps, this song is so beautiful and Mori and Dave together made it magical!!!! Wow Dave sings wonderful too!! I loved it!!!!!! YES!!!🌹🤗🌹
I love Mori's phrasing and articulation. She always brings a *unique* perspective to a song -- a sign of a great vocal artist. It's the way she bends the lyrics, using a variety of techniques, for *emotional depth* as well as stylistic flair. She has a ton of stylistic flair! "Gusto Ko Ng Bumitaw" was probably the best demonstration, imo, of her *elite level musicality* at present, but this performance of "Winter" is right up there. Her interpretation of music is on a whole different level now. She is becoming a 'seasoned' vocalist/interpreter.
BTW, this song is gorgeous...lyrically, musically. I'm in love with the chorus and the climax. Dave and Mori are a bonafide artist/composer tandem. This "side project" is a thing. I hope they continue to do more music like this. A breath of fresh air for OPM (Original Pilipino Music). This is the type of music that can elevate OPM to newer heights.

Dave is good but he's nowhere near Morissette good. And her trying to lift his career up is slowing hers down. She's not as big as her talents deserve. They should focus on her career first, get her BIG like she deserves to be, big enough to prop up Dave.
