I was really trying to tell a story with this cover, with each iteration of the chorus getting slightly more aggressive, until it's all over the place and the notes are barely 'clean'. I hope it translated well! :) BTW the part at 2:27 was literally called 'The Dance-off' in my project. For whatever reason in my head the party and the boss had some kind of an interlude during the fight, where they all showed off their swaggiest dance moves, P5D style ;D
I commented on this over 3 years ago, but I want to throw out that I still seek out this video all the time. One of the best VG covers out there, I honestly think it surpasses the original for me.
Thanks dude! I wasn't planning for the solo to get this long, but it sort of had a good flow. I even included a little bit of improvisation in the last few bars :)
I love how you always put a new twist on these songs. I listen to a lot of covers but yours don't fail to surprise me! Keep up the great work :D I really love the part at 00:20 because it's so smooth and leads perfectly in your cover. The long solo at the end is great aswell ofc!
Thanks man! That part was the first thing I recorded for this cover, I've actually had it since January, but after I started working on this more, I was getting worried that it doesn't really 'fit' the rest of the song. This is one of the reasons why I decided that the song should continuously build from beginning to end :)
Thanks! I really appreciate this! I was trying to tell more of a story with this song and I tried some things that were completely new to me, so I'm glad it worked out! :)
Holy crap, I just found your channel and ended up binging a lot of your videos while doing homework:O You have some great content, dude, your videos are awesome!
PeetaPlays awesome i’ll be looking out for it! can’t wait:) if you ever decide to revisit p5r in the future i’d love to hear your take on ideal and the real !!
Thanks! Bass is always a struggle, my bass finger technique is lacking so I can do some things (funky lines), but not others (16th notes). Thankfully I've learned that a heavy pick sound is great for those big, rocking choruses :)
At the time I generally used S-Gear 2 for my tones. Stealer (the Marshall Plexi looking and sounding amp) was my favourite thing. That's most of the tones. Where it sounds slightly "cleaner" but still "broken", I'd just turn my volume knob on the guitar way down. For actual clean sounds I'd use the other "Voxy" amp on S-Gear 2. As far as the intro goes, where the guitar sounds super heavy it's doubled with a pitched down octave.
Bit of a late comment, but: Since Throw Away Your Mask is more from *spoiler*'s point of view, this is a cool perspective switch from the villain to the Phantom Thieves. Only just thought of that
Thanks! I did think that the modulation at the end and a "change of perspective" was going to work. If I had done it again, perhaps I'd try to execute it a little better, but when the song is near the end, you can still hear that there's a certain "heaviness" that is lifted and I think that actually worked out well.
What are your rules around using your music? with credit of course. If not, no problem and no further questions asked. Just looking for something in the background of an xp grinding time lapse, your music is so much better than the UA-cam library.

I can tell you had a lot of fun playing this, which is the most important. Awesome bends and feel. Great stuff.

Great Work👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
2:29 - 2:49 sounds little bit like a fragment of "Screaming Bluesomania". ;p
Yes it does indeed ;>

Big man me love
Thanks :)
wya man, been missing ur music :(
Just dealing with life, but I'm back to do some small covers / solos here and there

100% fine with it, as long as it's credited appropriately in the description and/or the video itself. Thanks for asking! :)
What distortion are you using in this
I'm using S-Gear VST as my amp sim, nothing in front of it. I shared my setting in the "I Believe" cover.
