Solo Traveling GUATEMALA 🇬🇹 Antigua to Flores

- The Central American country of Guatemala has been on my list for some time, from it's historical cities, volcanos and ancient history.
For two and half weeks I visit Guatemala starting in Antigua and ending in Flores. I start my journey exploring the city of Antigua, then head to Xela and challenge myself with a 3 day trek, taking me from Xela to lake Atitlan. I spend a few days glamping and relaxing at Lake Atitlan and from there it's on to Lanquin, visiting it's most popular attraction Semuc Champey. I end my travel in Flores and check out the ancient Mayan ruins temples of Tikal. They'll be lots of adventures, random ups and downs, good times and memories to be had as I go "Solo Traveling Guatemala".

Cool Beans Bro! What a great trip and filming. You need to come back for a second adventures since there is more to see like Huehuetenango, the beaches, Alta Verapaz rivers and waterfalls. Oh you could do the famous Acatenango hike (1 day) or the Mirador maya hike (3 days) through the jungle. Last but not least the city offers great understanding of the nation and entertainment
Definitely more to see with a well deserved return someday

Can’t wait to go this November. I’m hoping to go to Nakum and Yaxha ruins east of Tikal and avoid the crowds. Not sure how easy it is to get to them. Semuc champey looks amazing. Why did you not go to acatango volcano which is more active? Really enjoyed your video- great production
Thanks. If I recall it was time that I couldn’t squeeze in Acatenango. Getting around is pretty easy especially if those locations are attractions.

When I went to Tikal last year the tour guide said there was no proof of human sacrifices- I guess he was biased. But it is crazy to see how much it has been updated in just one year.

Wow what a really good filming; Thank you so much for share that amazing experience in Guatemala; I ate the 54mins enjoying every part, impressive ! I’ve seen a lot of adventures about Guatemala but never seen a hiking for three days from Xela to Atitlan, I think is unique and remarkable experience Sir. I didn’t know this kind of hiking existed, and the benefit of this cause is good for locals. I don't bother you by asking to make a new video only with this part of the content? 😊
Thank you. The hiking was quite the challenging experience. I’m glad locals and travelers can see the hiking options available in Guatemala. Making a separate video would be something possible in the future.

You can also do a 3 day hike through the Peten jungle from Flores to "El Mirador" which are the biggest Mayan Ruins found so far (more massive than the pyramids of Egypt) or you can take a helicopter there which takes about 35 minutes, its the only way to get there as there are no roads just pure jungle.
