Youre on point when you say South African artists can repeat something so simple over and over again until it hits you.
They do it all the time and it really works.
It’s Nguni - some words in Zulu, Xhosa, Swazi and Ndebele are the same or mean the same thing. She is singing in Zulu “ Holy you are Holy, We give all the glory and the honour, You are Holy , there is none like you” basically the words in the song. Ntokozo is amazing, you must check out her new album and the songs she did with Nathaniel Bassey. This woman was born for worship, she takes you to the throne of God.

I am a Zimbabwean but since I was growing up, I loved South African gospel songs. I am in my fifties now and I have so many South African gospel singers and songs I downloaded on my Apple Music. I feel more closer to whatever it is I am thinking. Beautiful music.

Hi Charlies I was introduced to SA Gospel through one song Ngangingazi by Bishop Dube song by Siyakha Khitha. The Holy Spirit arrested my ears, my heart and my spirit just to listen. Sometimes you don't need to know the words or translation, Spirit knows Spirit. i haven't listen American Gospel in over 6 months except for in church lol. I find myself learning a language I never intended to learn but here I am learning clicks and pops. I drive my family crazy because I want to say the words right, but they don't get. I have a new song to add to my SA worship list. I'm loving the worship and the words. And yes SA worship is very repetitive, Holy, Holy, Holy is what the angels say day and night right? So why not us who He has done more for. Thank you my brother.
