    something that can help with those long straight cuts is something called a whiskey hand. essentially a piece of angle, who ever long you need it clamped inline with what you want to cut. simply cut and go, makes it look like a machine did it.

    Up here in Alaska this boat shop I worked at had these cool but expensive folding mobile tents that take up a medium sized duffel bag so he could weld outside, because the boat is too tall to get in the shop and it always rains hard up here. It would be a wise choice for your arsenal in the future😜

    Hey Anthony I’m looking to get started on something similar to what you do. I’m having a dilemma with picking a work truck. The options are either a 3500 dually and custom building a welding bed the other option is going all out and picking up a a Cummins 5500 with a crane on the side….. I feel I’d regret not getting the crane but I’m wondering about the legality’s. Do you have to have the crane inspected every year? Does insurance charge much more for that? Please let me know thanks

    • @chriscowell3278
      @chriscowell3278 2 роки тому

      It really depends what you want to gear your business for. I own and operate a mobile welding business and I only need a 1 ton (3500) truck. Ive never needed a crane. I would suggest you save the money and buy you a skidsteer. Also a dually already isn't fun to drive around. I couldn't imagine a bigger truck with a crane lol
