Many thanks for this review, totally agree with your rating of this loco. What is most disappointing to me (I have the Fowler 4P 2345 in LMS Black) is the really weak pulling power for a loco of this size. I presume it's too light that does not give it enough traction, a pity for an engine of this size. The Made in China ones from Hornby are much better in this regard.
A very nice looking model, is it possible to upgrade the motor ? This one sounds like it is on the last knowing’s . Nice review and video, regards from Ron 🚂👍😃
Thanks Ron! Yes it should be possible - I believe it uses the XO series motors, which explains the noise. I believe you can buy conversion kits to convert to a coreless motor or similar.
