Kurt, Russ Ballard wrote the Lost City when he was just 15yrs old! Gave it to Cliffs sister boyfriend to give to Norrie Paramour, never heard no more,then out of the blue a guy phoned Russ to tell him the Shads loved it and recorded the track on their album but he had to change the title from Atlantis because Jerry Lordan had the same title for hes track. Russ changed it to The Lost City. This gave Russ the inspiration to go on and become a prolific songwriter.
Kurt it's a fantastic tune and love the Ryders brilliant version of it. Wish I could be at Tilburg but haven't got the confidence to go on my own but probably see you all at Scarborough 2024 if you go. I wish you all the best with your show at Tilburg, the band will have a blast. Vic.
